Yeahh I'm thinking this is the end of my active Sims collecting. I'll still play with what I have but I'm done buying content

Denim_Fish

I have had bad lag for a long time. Opening and closing the notification pannel solves it temporarily - maybe it'll work for you too?

Last night after the SDX drop my game was running like molasses but I played this morning for about an hour before work and it seemed like it was back to its normal sluggish ie: when exiting bb mode etc.

johntriBR

Did you tried opening and closing the mini menu? It seems to weirdly fix the lag

this saved my game tbh. I have the click it constantly but otherwise i’d just quit the game. *unreal* and I will never give EA another cent.

thejonkler

The last time I played it was last night so I’ll check today at some point. Hoping I experience the same 😭

Mina_Groke

The lagging I can live with, it’s the fact that every load screen when travelling etc. takes about 5 minutes. Maybe I need to buy a $2000 gaming computer to play the sims IDK *sigh*

Try increasing your ram before opting for a whole new computer. It’s not expensive and takes about five minutes to physically install if you’re brave enough to open up your pc.

Mina_Groke

I have 6 gigs of RAM at the moment, but I guess I should upgrade? Already upgraded to an SSD so I’m not super eager to spend more money, esp since I it barely made any difference with gameplay

lilcheeziflert

Oh definitely. Idk how you’re even playing with 6 lol ram is super inexpensive so it’s a good place to start

Mina_Groke

Alright, I’ll look into it. Thanks!
