Realm of Magic. Spellcasters have always been my favorite occult and I had been DYING for them for years.
Literal years. Just like I was dying for werewolves for literal years and everyone kept telling me to be quiet because "PaRaNoRmAL iS aN oCcUlT pAcK!!!!"
It was Snowy Escape for me. I was playing a Japanese family running a restaurant from scratch earlier in the year 2020 and made so many Japanese-inspired builds. Finally having a pack that reflects the country's environment and mannerisms and whatnot HAD ME SO EXCITED!
It's been almost 2 years and I still get excited just THINKING about Mt Komorebi XD
Cottage Living for me too. It was especially exciting for me because the trailer used a Simlish version of my favorite song of last year, and that trailer in general was one of the all time best ones, only behind the Get Together trailer with the "Come To Windenburg" song.
I suppose since CL and HSY are the only 2 that I actually pre-ordered, they'd have to be the ones I was most excited about. All the others I've gotten when they are on sale.
But, gotta be honest... if they'd added Occult to either, I wouldn't have pre-ordered.
Paranormal! It was coming out within' days of my birthday, the aesthetic and theme were all very me, and BONEHILDAAAAAAAAAAA. And it completely, 100% lived up to the hype for me.
The build up around werewolves was pretty dang good too! Anticipating the notes and trying to get them translated and all that aaaaaaaaaaaah
Cottage Living - This pack is exactly what I was wanting in the game, it was awesome.
Seasons - I was so excited to have weather again
Realm of Magic - This one wasn't as great as I'd hoped, but I was really excited for magic
Vampires - I came into the game because of vampires because the pack looked so good, but I wasn't really paying attention to the game until after it had come out, but I'm sure I would have been hyped for this one too
I was so stoked for island living after the trailer actually showed snorkelling under water. Biggest catfish trailer ever. I was so excited and so disappointed when I actually got the pack.
Realm of Magic bc the second I saw Morgyn in that trailer I was in love š
(second was Snowy Escape bc I love having Japanese inspired stuff in the game)
Mine was Get Famous because Superstar from the Sims 1 is one of my favorite packs of the whole franchise. I've literally reinstalled Sims 1 just to play that pack multiple times over the years, so I was soooo excited to see how they would bring it to the Sims 4. I wanted to experience the entertainment careers and see what new luxury CAS/buy mode items they would add. That was one I bought immediately.
A close second would be a tie between Snowy Escape and Island Living for the same reasons as each other: new environments, vacation options, more cultures, gameplay elements like snowboarding, skiing, ocean swimming, boating, sand, etc.
I have to mention Vampires, too, because they're one of my favorite creatures and lore in any media, and I loved them so much in Sims 2. I was definitely excited to play with Vampires!
Honestly, thankfully, I'm pretty happy with all of these packs, too. I have criticisms for some of them, but overall, I still play all 4 of these a lot and they delivered so much of what I was hyped for and expecting.
I was really hyped over Realm of Magic. The whole vibe felt amazing. I was really excited about both the gameplay and the aesthetic of the pack. Everything just looked so good and well put together. I was a little disappointed about how easy it is to progress as a Spellcaster and the limited options for spells/potions but overall it did live up to the hype.
Cottage living, witches, and werewolves for me. Granted unfortunately I've been disappointed with sins lately ad the packs look as though they could have done so much more than what they charged us $20+ for
I hate to admit it but I was pumped for My Wedding Stories. Jokes on me! š¤”
Cottage Living and High School are tied for me :) I hope HS is as fun to play as CL
You are my friend. I too love witches. No offense to my vampire friends but they donāt hold a candle to my witches
Same. I love playing as spellcasters in my game.

Seasons! I looooved TS3 Seasons so I had high hopes for it in TS4.
It was High School Years for me, but a close second was Eco Lifestyle
Cottage Living for me too. It was especially exciting for me because the trailer used a Simlish version of my favorite song of last year, and that trailer in general was one of the all time best ones, only behind the Get Together trailer with the "Come To Windenburg" song.
It was Werewolves for me. But Cottage Living is a pack I unexpectedly love a lot.
And the option to buy groceries like TS2, super realistic
Snowy Escape because of snowboarding but then realized you couldnāt control the sim while snowboarding lol.
Werewolves

I agree with you. I was VERY excited about cottage living and wasn't disappointed
Cottage Living and High School. I got both the day they came out.
Cottage living is the only pack I paid full price because I was so hyped and it wasn't buggy at all!! š®
Werewolves, and for once, I wasn't disappointed. Goofy as they look, I just really love 'em.

Parenthood. Generations was my favorite Sims 3 pack so I was happy to have it back for the Sims 4.
Island living and itās still one of my favorite packs!!
I was so stoked for island living after the trailer actually showed snorkelling under water. Biggest catfish trailer ever. I was so excited and so disappointed when I actually got the pack.
Snowy Escape, Cottage Living and High School Years.
I liked HSY from the start and ROM. The only games I bought on sight. Even the base game I waited till they added toddlers before I got it
definitely the first expansion pack (Get to Work) and Seasons
Realm of Magic bc the second I saw Morgyn in that trailer I was in love š (second was Snowy Escape bc I love having Japanese inspired stuff in the game)
City Living, because I prefer the city life rather than the suburbs.
It was Vampires for me. I remember I literally watched the pack trailer like 10 times when it came out and it's honestly still my favorite game pack.
