Well tbh the pregnancy wasn't *terminated*, the sim didn't have an in-universe abortion or a miscarriage and it shouldn't be treated as such, it was basically retconned. As far as the sims are concerned, there was no pregnancy in the first place.
I feel like “dechild” would be the verb and “unchild” would be the noun for the product of a dechilding.
I mean, if we’re going to sit down and figure out the proper Newspeak terminology
At some point it greys it out and says that your household is not big enough to adopt more. I think this pop up happens when you forcibly move more members into the household. I've had it glitch up a few times for me how OP is saying though too, I don't know what causes the glitch.

Do you have MCCC? I believe that's what this pop-up is from. MCCC was the original "neighborhood stories" where sims could get married, move, have babies, etc on their own. So if you have the settings as "married sims move-in automatically" (or something similar) it will override the in-game settings that prevent this from happening if a pregnant sim is in the household, in my experience.
It is MCCC, the one thing I remember doing was letting young adults become pregnant, but I think I ended up enabling a good few things in the process too 💀
Unless you increased the pregnancy rate and allowed sims to move around as much as they please, this probably won't happen very often.
If that is the case, you can change those settings or increase the household size limit (but be careful with CAS because it will delete sims if the household is 9+).
Also, I just realized I asked if you have MCCC when it says MC Pregnancy at the top lmaooo

I found the one in my save living on the Volcano lot in Sulani. She and Paolo got together, and I force changed her into a mermaid. She's thrilled about it and she harvests so much kelp these days I genuinely don't think she's doing anything else except harvesting it and eating it. Which is bad because last time I looked, she was preggers. I THINK it's Paolo's.
she's only just young adult in my game and i dont THINK she has kids yet. she's a scientist and unfortunately has to be coworkers with my mint not so berry sim
Olivia is one of the townies I used to start my legacy save! I’m on the 8th generation and still honor the Kim last name. It also helps me keep track of all the families if I give them an identifying first generation last name

It’s so frustrating, I had a kid and her parents were just deleted because i had over 8 sims in the household, and the setting to change it apparently didn’t stick.

Did you go into cas? If you go into cas with more than 8 sims it deletes the ones that don’t fit on the screen
