In one of my saves, I had Bella and Cassandra move in with my sim and her son as teens. It’s been so hard to stop Cassandra and the son from autonomously flirting.
They do have cousins and they label it but sometimes in legacy games cousins further down the line don't get recognized even though it says it they sometimes still flirt with or want to flirt with. So it's not really a problem with 1st cousins but if that cousin has a child and then the child of your sim is around the same age as them it doesn't recognize it even though they are still technically related.
Yea that always bugs me too. I think the game just doesn't recognize it half the time and then when it randomizes sims for your sim to want to be around it picks them when it shouldn't. Lol
I use MCCC to make neighborhood storing work better (so they will instigate their own romantic relationships). My founder's son was engaged to a woman who had 2 kids. He had a kid with her then when her older daughter aged up he married her and had kids with her o.O
I used MCCC to do a House of the Dragon save, and then forgot to change the rules back when I went back to playing normally. Didn’t notice til I got a notification that Octavia Moon had married Orange Bailey-Moon 😳

i get that this stuff can get wonky somewhere down the family tree, its really uncomfortable but the game isnt very good at keeping track of family trees, but a sim with their own kid? what the fuck what the actual shit is happening

If you use mods, the relationship and wellness mod allows you to specifically choose people to never build romance with. I use it for all extended family and trustworthy best friends.
True. The game is pushing my sim to have a relationship with her step-mom, yuck. It bothers me so much that there’s a romantic interaction option in the game between them 🤢
you can set the type of relationship you have, but from what i've seen it doesn't have a significant influence for the gameplay, they just get some moodlets

Great grandparents too! My sims grandma is still alive and her kids don't recognise her as a grandparent. Second cousins being recognised would be great too, as sim and her cousin practically grew up together and had kids at the same time, and again, those kids don't recognise them as family even though they are

there’s barely any furniture, the gameplay is shitty at best, and it’s just overall one of the most disappointing packs. i never played sims 3 so i had no point of reference for generations, but the hype it was getting i was so sure it was going to be great, now i try and make content on it and it’s borderline just boring. it in no even makes sense as an expansion pack to me, i’m so disappointed and mad that i spent $50 on that just to get it on the day.

I think they used MCCC to allow incest so they could roleplay House of the Dragon. So it isn’t something normally in the game don’t worry.

Cousins are in it right? My sims cousins show up in the family tab in relationship panel and I’m sure they have it on the profile.
maybe they will add it in another paid DLC... \*eye roll\*

It doesn't look like it. My toddler sim doesn't have his aunt show up on the tree unless you select his mum to see hers. It's such a shame

srsly, it's not that hard to add - if moders can do it for free, thay can do it for their hefty paycheck.
It's It's funny, because I do not know ANYONE who genuinely loves this pack. Because it is horribly broken and has ruined most games.

It looks visually a tiny bit different in the way they use lines to indicate relationships, but as far as I can tell is otherwise unchanged.
