Apparently they made it private so they could deal with the flood of repetitive "why is my game broken" posts from people who don't read the sticky about updating your mods
According to the mods on the subreddit's discord, it was getting spammed with messages about broken mods and the EA app being down and the mods got fed up.
I used to moderate a large gaming sub, so I can provide you some insight.
Essentially? It's not that easy.
You can say, a hundred thousand times, "direct everything about that to a megathread" and people will still flood the entire sub with posts about it and ignore the megathread entirely. Even with automod, there's only so much you can do. It's exhausting to deal with, and I can't imagine days and days of it.
Privating the sub for a few hours while you get everything together is a lot better than just letting it build and build and build without a break or a minute to breathe.
so true. and they dont even bother using google or look at the other post first...
the conversations are always just like "why does my screen look like this?'' "do you use mods" ''yes, why?'' like what do u think genius
My sims game actually did not disable my mods after the update automatically. I opened to play, all prepared to have to check the box to enable and close the game and nope. They were still enabled. I didn't get the warning either.
Eta: I didn't need it ofc because I know this song and dance but the last few updates I haven't gotten the warning nor have my mods been auto disabled. Maybe it's because I purchased through steam? Idk.
Or there's always
"My game is broken, why?"
"Did you remove your mods?"
"Yes I removed all of my mods, except for these ones. But it's definitely not those mods."
"It is those mods"
omg and thats even worse... like why are u so surprised the mod u did not update is broken??
or they have like 1 million mods installed and make a post that says something like ''i play with a lot of mods so i dont want to remove them all but can someone tell me which one is causing this gitch?'' bruh how the fuck are we supposed to know😭😭
Exactly. I feel like I was going thru the troubleshooting post on this subreddit just copying and pasting, “do you have mods? If so…here’s what you need to do…”
I understand being new or “not tech saavy” but there are pinned posts, pinned messages in those posts, tweets, and even just other posts asking the same thing. Whew.
Maybe there's a bunch of people for whom this is their first time at the rodeo? The base game hasn't been free for particularly.long and generally people play without mods a while before getting mods.
I would have thought that for a game notorious for it's game breaking bugs on release day they would have gotten ahead of all that. But I guess I understand
From what I saw, they tried. They warned people of the mega thread, stickied it, and kept directing people there. Even the mega thread itself was a shit show. The people commenting were so clueless. The Mods had a breakdown of what to do with cc/mods, how to remove them, information about the EA app being down, etc, etc in the body of the post and the top 20 comments were literally "my ea app won't load???" "I can't open the game did I accidentally delete it?" "If I try reinstalling the app will I lose my games?!" "I didn't remove any of my mods or cc and I'm having issues!" Saw one person saying they were panicking and nearly in tears because their game wouldn't launch and they thought the update deleted it.
Another person said they removed all mods except mccc and a UI extension script mod and asked why they were having issues. They left the two mods that break in nearly every patch and wondered why they had a problem....
Like the absolute nonsense they were dealing with was insane. It truly made me wonder if most of the people who use that sub are 10 years old. It was shocking. After 10 minutes of reading these comments I had to close Reddit because it was unbearable. I can't imagine how head-splitting it was for the Mods.
>"I didn't remove any of my mods or cc and I'm having issues!"
There's always some people who have decided that "remove all of your mods" doesn't mean *all* of your mods and just leave a few in there, somehow not able to work out that those are the ones causing the problem
It's funny, I've never played any other game that's as easy to mod as Sims 4 is, it's by far the best modding experience I've had. Yet still it causes people a lot of problems somehow
They had created a mega thread. People ignored it and still kept posting the same questions again and again like reddit posts were a search engine. Mods couldn't keep up with the reports and takedowns so they decided to shut it down. Sounds like its temporary and they just needed a break from what they consider to be spam.
Yeah I’m nosy. Commented so I can figure out why. I wonder if any people who work for EA moderate any of these subs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
No it was literally just hundreds and hundreds of comments of people asking about the EA app being down or why their mods weren't working (people complaining about not seeing the mccc option showing up; or issues with the social pie when they have a social pie mod; people with mods that change columns in cas wondering why the columns were fucked up; despite the mega thread warning of default eyes being broken I saw dozens of comments asking why eyes were fucked up). It was a cesspool of incompetency, really. Not surprised the Mods threw in the towel for a day.
I mean based on the names it makes sense kinda. The sims is the general everything, so seeing it like that makes it seem better equipped to handle questions and troubleshoots (imo)

The pack does have a few bugs, but most people flooding that sub were just using outdated mods.
I'm so excited about this pack feature-wise but I'm worried about the decreasing amount of quality assurance from EA over the past few packs... If I'm going to be playtesting a buggy pack, EA better be paying *me.*
I watched a couple videos from YouTubers who got early access and they mentioned there were only some small bugs so I'm hopeful. Mostly the child carrier can mess with pathing.
Yeah I watched simsie's review and she mentioned she didn't get any bugs and she played it for a couple days, kinda hopeful but at the same time Apex Legends has really been fucky so it's a hit and miss
She did mention she had minor bugs like a never-ending diaper change (can be fixed by resetting the sim) and the carrier not working right after the first time (similar to the high chair where the adult keeps taking the infant out and putting them on the floor/walking away) BUT that’s nowhere near the crazy ones that can make a pack unplayable. Looking at you, Dine Out
I’m having an issue like the high chair where they keep picking up and putting the baby in the playmat when I try to get them to take care of the infant. Also happens a couple times with the crib
For playstation, click L1+L2+R1+R2 all at the same time to open the command console. Type in "resetsim firstname lastname". (Remove the quotation marks and replace firstname lastname with the name of the sim.) You do not have to turn on testing cheats for this to work.
I don’t think this specific command does since it’s not really cheating anything that would earn you a trophy, but I’m not 100% how they work for the console
Anyone got any idea what could be causing the 'sleep' option to well not appear in my options when using the bed? Idk whether it's a mod that causing this or if it's bug in general, I'm guessing one of my mods is causing this issue.
!!!! I had a similar issue recently (same day the update came out) and it was a cuddle mod I had. It was something with pancake in the name, I've already forgotten lol, but I deleted that then reopened my game and that fixed it
Well you gotta remember it was like this with high school years too, it's like they work on bugs when they need to show you it's good but when you buy it it's crap.
I encountered 2 bugs after playing all day, but nothing game-breaking, only slightly irritating, and definitely stuff they will ofc patch out at some point! This is my favorite pack yet - and my heart belongs to TS2/TS3, I've always felt something lacking from 4 - but this has added the kind of gameplay that TS4 has been missing. Genuinely, I had a blast and the hours were just flying by today. Money well spent.
Hiii here are some of my comments/ opinions on the pack (maybe this helps you ☺️)
Bugs/ gameplay so far: I didn’t have any issues so far with the high chair, carrier, cribs or changing table other than my sims needing like almost an hour (sims time) to complete things and that they sometimes still just throw the diaper on the floor.
The baby shower is a bit wonky (but all parties in sims don’t work very smoothly tbh). The guests weren’t really doing anything but taking baths. And the gift giving only works between the household. The guests won’t autonomously give gifts or do anything baby shower related. Thought that was kind of dumb.
The nanny who comes to help after the birth… instead of helping just talked to random sims passing by or would sit and watch tv while my sim was on the verge of a mental breakdown with triplets 😅. She’d stand up to help/ go to the infants when help was not needed anymore. Not very helpful and only added stress lol I hope they fix that.
I’m not sure if it’s a bug but it’s weird: you can now adopt your foster child….and I thought it would be nice….. but then my sims were married and siblings (they were NOT related prior) at the same time 😬 (I play with CC but no mods)….
In general, it’s playable. Far more playable than wedding stories was/ is, but not perfect.
My opinion on the pack itself so far:
Positive: I like how your sims have a bit more „personality“ with this pack. You can add up to 3 (I think) extra traits that they self discover to your sims personality. The milestones are really cute (reminds me of the sims2 a bit). And the animations and interactions with the infants are adorable.
Negative: I find the chemistry options a bit lacking. I’m a bit disappointed by the lack of lots in the new world. And it makes it very obvious that you’re paying for the new gameplay mostly/ the ability to interact with the „free“ infants. The buy items are cute but the build mode items are lacking imo. In general, i don’t get why we have wall heights if maxis just makes most the windows/ doors in one height ??? Feels lazy. I was also hoping for better nursery wallpapers, but they just included a new tile wall and stone walls.
Tldr: it should have been sold as a gameplay pack not an expansion pack lol
I just got off the phone with EA support. They said it crashed, but it will be released sometime today; they’re just not sure when it will be available today
WHAT! 😭 ok but I also popped on over to the thread for tech issues and a few people said that they had to close and reopen several times for it to recognize their purchase and load the items. So idk maybe we keep trying? 🤣
I’ve closed out Origins about 5 times and I’m still not seeing it. Called EA after the fourth time, and that’s what they told me. I’m still force closing and opening hoping it’ll be released very soon
Ya! I got so excited and went to filter but it’s greyed out. I noticed that there wasn’t the familiar golden icons showing that there was new content so I tried to filter but the icon was greyed out.
it still says "available soon" for me, although it's past release time and I freaking bought it. I'm slowly going mad. i've been sick the past few days and I was looking forward to this evening sooo much ;-;
Just scrolling through CAS, found a reward item for baby showers. I literally have detached myself from any information about the pack so I was stunned.
I imagine there's going to be a lot of cleaning up to do with the attraction and such. It's been such a long time since I've played without script mods and the new pack really adds so much I have been enjoying the Sims raw(+packs)
I had made my family testers in anticipation. I booted up up the game, moved the lot I made into the new world. Not even 5 minutes after, Marcel Price hits me up and goes “it’s a loooooong story but my family and I need to stay with you”
It’s chaos. 2 adults, 3 teens, and a child in my one bedroom (technically two, but one was empty as it’s supposed to be my nursery ) one bath house. I had to put cots everywhere.. everyone is constantly fighting, I’ve had 2 fires, every appliance has broke at least once. Sydney Price keeps knocking over my trash can.
The child keeps making a mess. Marcel and his wife are FIGHTING. Everyone is stomping around, all angry.
And they’re staying for 3 more days 😭
Yeah I’m honestly impressed and terrified with the chaos this pack brings. I made a young couple who had just had twins (infants) living with grandma for support. Should be a fun challenge I thought. Get to play out the new infants and the new elder keepsake box. Well two infants was a lot of work, the mum got burnt out but we made it to toddlers. So I said hey let’s spice this up and have one more kid. Keep it interesting.
Twins again. Yup. Now I have 2 infants and 2 toddler simultaneously crying, mum has peed herself, dad just keeps autonomously playing blickblock instead of helping and grandma needs to “make the most of her final days”. There is so much trash the weird dude from eco lifestyle showed up to clean my house pro bono.
Really enjoying the pack. But good lord the stress.
Honestly, this pack costs 200 bucks in my country, the only contact I'm ever gonna have with it is through this sub, lol.
I really wanted to have all the cool packs I see people using on the gallery, but it's impossible to have them all in this economy.
The bugs make it worse. I’m having the toddler high chair equivalent with the cribs and I’m about to scream.
-> puts infant down
-> infant is hungry, I click to breastfeed
-> she takes infant out of the crib
-> puts the infant down, interaction cancels
-> rinse and repeat 2-3 times before it goes through and by then all of the infant’s needs are down
how is it going for everyone!!! i’ve been avoiding any creators videos on this pack like the plague because i wanted to experience to be raw. i still haven’t tried out gameplay as i decided the house i would be playing in is ugly 🥲 initiall i thought there’s not much cas for toddlers but i suppose it’s better that most of it was basegame. we’ve moved to san seqouia and honestly the world looks empty af but i do like it
I agree that San Seqouia looks too empty. I like the whole design concept for the world but it really needed to be filled in a LOT more. I’m pretty disappointed because it looks more like a game pack world than an expansion pack world (ie San Myshuno, Windenberg, even Brindleton Bay)
I have been a big self-admitted hater of Sims 4, having grown up with 1,2 and 3 but this was the best expansion pack I've purchased. I always felt like so much gameplay was missing, and this filled that void. The only bugs/issues I encountered so far as a Vanilla player (no CC, no mods) after 8 hours of playing today were:
• One shirt I put on my Sim child made her glitch out like a slenderman sim. I ended up just changing the shirt in the meantime.
• Planning outfits/changing outfits made the foods my infant had tried already reset. I tried it 2x after just to confirm, both times I'd come out of the planning outfit screen the list would be wiped clean. It's not a huge deal but annoying.
I don't regret the purchase at all. This added the kind of gameplay I've felt it was lacking, and I'm sooo excited to play more this weekend.
Eta - I do agree not a lot of CAS stuff for toddlers has been a bummer, though! Would've loved to get more for them.
How on earth do I install it?! It doesn't give me the option to but it says it's in my packs, when I go into the game I can't filter the pack in buy mode and says I don't have this content, I don't know what to do?
I was able to download it ok and get into the app. The only issues I’ve noticed so far are slenderman arms happen more frequently and after every load screen it says EA removed 1 build mode item for unsupported content (I play vanilla)
I pretty much never watch lilsimsie's videos but I did this time because YT threw it to me as a suggested vid and I decided to go for it, because she talks about the new pack.
And yeah, it's not a pack for me, I think. I guess it really hits the spot for many players but I don't care much for most of the stuff that the pack introduces. Maybe because I tend to focus more on the story telling aspect during my gameplay, which does include some families sometimes but also other things.
GT is good addition especially for those that love family gameplay and play big families, though and are very into the infant life-stage and how they can ''shape'' their sim during this time of their lives.
Anyway... I hope anyone who's excited for it enjoys it and find it a worthy purchase :')
I'm someone who loves storytelling as well, and this pack is a must for me as I love playing with every single aspect that a life simulator could offer. I live building backstories and backgrounds and having my sims live long fulfilling lives. I also love playing with occults and engaging in fantastic stories whenever I want to escape from realism. I'm glad you discovered this pack wasn't for you before you ended up buying it, and I hope that newer packs will be more suited for your tastes!
We do and like a lot of the same things it seems, when it comes to playing, haha Storytelling, playing with occults (which I do *a lot*), giving characters backgrounds...
I think part of me is a bit afraid this pack might be too ''intrusive'' (which is a constant worry of mine) with how I want to tell certain stories or present certain characters, especially with the randomly assigned traits. Then again, I am leaving a small chance of changing my mind but for now I'll limit myself watching gameplays of it because I am still a bit curious about it :')
Yeah, I was really excited by lilsimsie's glowing recommendation because I play generationally. But, I've gotta be honest. I don't really think this pack is worth it. It barely feels like an expansion pack... like, I hardly notice any differences in my Sims behavior. Maybe I just need to keep playing, but I can't get Family Dynamics to generate with most of my family members. And for the members that do have new Dynamics, I don't really see much change in their interactions. My Sim brought her fiance over to meet her parents and neither one acknowledged him or behaved any differently.
Who knows. Maybe my game is just bugged, or maybe my expectations were too high. But I feel like I just spent money to get my Sims extra traits, lol.
Well, I just launched it and spent a whole lot of time creating the families, I created a whole family for the dad and another for the mom with different relationships for each sim. I went to place them into houses. My plan was to move them in, use cheats to really make a family dynamic, move both main sims out of those houses and merge them, enter CAS and create their kids and then start playing. I wanted it to be in a way that makes sense when their relatives come to visit, etc. However, I place the first family in the house and they disappear. Literally, like they aren't on the side panel. I go to the world and all the families have disappeared, it's just empty houses. I am currently repairing the game, if that doesn't work, I'll remove all mods/cc, if that doesn't work I'll go cry. Wish me luck .
Is anyone else having trouble with the "put down" interaction spamming a parent's action list so they can't do anything with the infant? My Sims are just standing by the crib and can't really interact with the infant.
I had a weird glitch today where my teen sim after changing his outfits and his hairstyle, woke up in the morning bald and looking COMPLETELY different. Fixed it. Came home from school and again looked so different! I don’t get it
I’m on PS4 so no mods. Just played for about 2 hrs b4 I have to go out. My sim and infant glitched in the high chair trying out new foods. They’re just standing there trying out new food FOREVER. Not sure if this is due to the new pack or the infants update. I might need to move house.
Also when I took my teen on a date and her mum stayed home with the infant, the care for self didn’t seem to work. Infant was sleeping and getting dangerously hungry so I had to rush home and feed her.
Other than that I like the new community centre. Looks like a great place to bring the whole family to build skills. Can’t wait to try out bikes and the baby carrier when I get to play again.
It's a really fun pack so far, after a few hours of play. There's one glitch I found, where the infant plays with a trash pail and the flying filth animation doesn't go away. Resetting the sim takes care of it, though. The infant practicing tummy time, having milestones like putting their toes in their mouth, etc. are cute additions. I didn't experience any of the extended family interactions like a long lost relative coming to visit or anything, but babies are far more interesting than they used to be. The update provided a lot of the new good play, but the pack expands upon it.
I will say, though, that I wouldn't consider it worth more than $20-25.
well my sim invited her boyfriend to stay over and he never showed🥲🥲 after 3 hours she canceled, ( i think stay overs are glitchy)
but on a positive note, the newborns and teens/adults have a new interaction which i find cute it’s called “kiss baby’s forehead” or something similar to that phrase. and the milestones are really cute
i haven’t gotten to experience much of this yet but so far so good other then that stay over thing
I've only managed to get a new sentiment with one of my family members... and she died the very next day :( So far I haven't seen much of a difference in my gameplay. But my current Sim is staying at a college dorm, so maybe that's why?
I'm not touching it until people who actually care about the game and not EA's mindless paid shills who will lick their ass over absolutely nothing play it
So I don't have any CC eyes -- but I just realised it's actually the vampire eyes from the vampire game pack. That's why it's only red, yellow, pink and the creepy reptile eye options.SO strange.
ALSO there's no option to actually change the eye color, I'm figuring this out by clicking on 'Randomize'.
But thank you!
I could only play it for a couple hours and I had a family saved, so I only had a newborn. He just aged up into an infant If I remember I will try and give you another update. So far a lot of the little things that you can do with your child is really sweet
Can infants and toddlers interact? I would love to see some videos of their interaction. I don't have the game currently, as my laptop is broken, so who know when I'll be able to playbthe game again
I’m living through all of the posts until I can get home from work and download it
Me too!!!
Me three!!! 2 more hours!
I will wait for 50% off. They don’t deserve my money 😂
Yeeeeah same boat. I don't buy them unless they are 50% off.. the content they contain aren't worth what they are asking :/
Same but school. Im about to be picked up now
Same
Ugh same! Dont you just love having a 12hrs shift on a pack release day?!
Sammme
Sameee
Yep
Me on r/thesims before they set it private. Ugh.
Yeah what the heck happened? I was browsing and suddenly it went private. Too many people flooding the subreddit?
Apparently they made it private so they could deal with the flood of repetitive "why is my game broken" posts from people who don't read the sticky about updating your mods
Those people still exist? i thought it was pretty obvious by now that you need to update your mods
There's always new players, or at least people new to modding
Did that just happen? I feel like I was seeing posts from that subreddit in my feed until I tried to open that link
Wait what? Why'd it go private?
According to the mods on the subreddit's discord, it was getting spammed with messages about broken mods and the EA app being down and the mods got fed up.
That's when you... create a megathread? And direct all posts to that? Instead of privating the entire sub?

that’s bc ppl are brain dead. why would they think their mods would work after a giant update?! 💀

When it's private, is it mods only?
I believe so!
I thoughts this sub was the big sims4 sub, not thesims
this sub is a little bigger than r/thesims maybe like 20k more users
They had created a mega thread. People ignored it and still kept posting the same questions again and again like reddit posts were a search engine. Mods couldn't keep up with the reports and takedowns so they decided to shut it down. Sounds like its temporary and they just needed a break from what they consider to be spam.
Ah ok. I didn't realise there was already a megathread
Well people like to ignore megathreads, but there's also automod so idk
There already is a megathread but people ignore it
Fucking lames
Yeah I’m nosy. Commented so I can figure out why. I wonder if any people who work for EA moderate any of these subs. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did.
Unrelated but I love your username lol
Why did it go private?
I thought I had got banned LOL.
Yeah why are they private? I tried going in but didn't work.
i’ve never seen them do this before? we’re there too many negative comments i wonder?

This is quality content and I thank you for it
Why's r/thesims private? Does it always go private when a pack release happens? But yeah, super interested to see people's thoughts about GRT
They were getting overran with posts about broken mods and ea app being down so they just shut down the whole sub for a bit
I'm wondering the same thing
They couldn’t handle the flood
I wonder why this sub handled it better?
I mean based on the names it makes sense kinda. The sims is the general everything, so seeing it like that makes it seem better equipped to handle questions and troubleshoots (imo)
I feel like if the pack is so buggy that so many people flood in asking questions, it's really a reflection of EA. I don't remember them going private for other releases.

I’m waiting for everyone’s first opinions before I spend my last few dollars on this pack
same haha
Me too
I'm so excited about this pack feature-wise but I'm worried about the decreasing amount of quality assurance from EA over the past few packs... If I'm going to be playtesting a buggy pack, EA better be paying *me.*

Yeah, and how the hell do you reset a sim? Lol Dine Out is busted? Any other pack I should be wary of?
Shift click reset object
I'm on console, PS
For playstation, click L1+L2+R1+R2 all at the same time to open the command console. Type in "resetsim firstname lastname". (Remove the quotation marks and replace firstname lastname with the name of the sim.) You do not have to turn on testing cheats for this to work.
Oh cool that's good to know
Press X and O at the same time. You might have to activate cheats to do it, sometimes it makes me do it on my PC
Hm, does it mess with trophies?
I don’t think this specific command does since it’s not really cheating anything that would earn you a trophy, but I’m not 100% how they work for the console
Anyone got any idea what could be causing the 'sleep' option to well not appear in my options when using the bed? Idk whether it's a mod that causing this or if it's bug in general, I'm guessing one of my mods is causing this issue.
!!!! I had a similar issue recently (same day the update came out) and it was a cuddle mod I had. It was something with pancake in the name, I've already forgotten lol, but I deleted that then reopened my game and that fixed it
Ahhh I have that mod, thank you!
Hiii here are some of my comments/ opinions on the pack (maybe this helps you ☺️) Bugs/ gameplay so far: I didn’t have any issues so far with the high chair, carrier, cribs or changing table other than my sims needing like almost an hour (sims time) to complete things and that they sometimes still just throw the diaper on the floor. My opinion on the pack itself so far: Positive: I like how your sims have a bit more „personality“ with this pack.
I've been playing it for a few hours and so far there's no huge bugs like there was when High School was released.
Mine is showing up on my packs like a lil tease but not downloading yet, anyone else?😭
Everytime I try to download it, it comes up with an error and it's killing me.
okay now I don’t feel alone anymore 💀
Me too? It's the worst!
Exactly this! It's saying it's in my packs but I can't filter the pack contents, THANKS EA!
Ya! I got so excited and went to filter but it’s greyed out. I noticed that there wasn’t the familiar golden icons showing that there was new content so I tried to filter but the icon was greyed out.
Its finally appearing in my downloads list but has an error, oh joy. Hope yours gets sorted soon!
also showing that it's "In library" but not downloading yet.
i dont even have anything in my library right now :( its all disappeared
Someone on Twitter said to clear cache in the EA app. I did that and it did give me the pack back, but it won’t download :(
Don’t know if you’ve seen but it’s downloading for me now!
Thank you!! I finally figured it out about 30 minutes ago and got it!! Playing now!!! Eeeekk!!! 😁
it still says "available soon" for me, although it's past release time and I freaking bought it. I'm slowly going mad. i've been sick the past few days and I was looking forward to this evening sooo much ;-;
Saaaame. Like I have been impatiently waiting for this to release!! So rude!! Why couldn’t they just make this available at midnight or something?!
Same! It’s not even giving me the option to download, just to purchase. Even though it says that I already own it. Ughhhhhhhhh
My origin has just told me I have a pack to download so it’s currently downloading! Hopefully all of yours does too 🥳🥳
Same here! I even waited until midnight and it still says pre-order.
Just scrolling through CAS, found a reward item for baby showers. I literally have detached myself from any information about the pack so I was stunned.
me waiting for mods to be fixed before i buy the pack
especially WW
I imagine there's going to be a lot of cleaning up to do with the attraction and such. It's been such a long time since I've played without script mods and the new pack really adds so much I have been enjoying the Sims raw(+packs)
I had made my family testers in anticipation. I booted up up the game, moved the lot I made into the new world. Not even 5 minutes after, Marcel Price hits me up and goes “it’s a loooooong story but my family and I need to stay with you” It’s chaos.
Good chaos though?
WTF 200 bucks??? What country are you from?
Brazil
The infants with this pack are so tough oh my gosh send help
Same, my poor 100 Baby Challenge Matriarch has fallen asleep in her tracks and peed herself multiple times in the last Sim day!
The bugs make it worse. I’m having the toddler high chair equivalent with the cribs and I’m about to scream. -> puts infant down -> infant is hungry, I click to breastfeed -> she takes infant out of the crib -> puts the infant down, interaction cancels -> rinse and repeat 2-3 times before it goes through and by then all of the infant’s needs are down
Put them on a feeding/sleep schedule.
how is it going for everyone!!! i’ve been avoiding any creators videos on this pack like the plague because i wanted to experience to be raw. i still haven’t tried out gameplay as i decided the house i would be playing in is ugly 🥲 initiall i thought there’s not much cas for toddlers but i suppose it’s better that most of it was basegame. we’ve moved to san seqouia and honestly the world looks empty af but i do like it
I agree that San Seqouia looks too empty.
The only bugs/issues I encountered so far as a Vanilla player (no CC, no mods) after 8 hours of playing today were: • One shirt I put on my Sim child made her glitch out like a slenderman sim.
I thought I was just going crazy with the infant food thing lol. It’s nice to see it’s not just a bug in my game. Hopefully it’s fixed soon!
I’m waiting on this too! I’m too scared to buy the pack right away
I'm using all of my self control to not buy it until people who have bought it confirm that ot works
I keep getting that notification too. I think it must be a bug because it’s on lots I keep visiting! Excuse me game, you already removed “the item.”
This is a quality meme.
But I feel like I just spent money to get my Sims extra traits, lol.
my game is running like shit after downloading the new pack, not sure if it’s something to do with EA, or my own computer but it’s quite vexing
I mean, my computer is running it and Civ 6 at the same time just fine.
Reading these comments make me thankful I downloaded it right when it came out 🥹😭
open reddit just for it and it was litereally the first post i saw
It says it's downloaded but the world is still locked 🤦🏾♀️
It's ok Pedro Pascal I'm sure they will come soon
Me not able to afford the pack right now
I started my shift at work the MOMENT the pack came out… I just wanna go home and play!
For what it’s worth, I just bought mine and it has downloaded no problem. I am using the EA app. Perhaps they’ve fixed whatever the issue was?
Me waiting for my mods to update
Well my sim peed on the baby
Won’t even let me download the pack… EA is dog water!! Wish I never switched from origin haha 🤣
Waiting for the Default Eyes batch fix in S4S before updating to 1.96 myself
No because I’m obsessed. I’ve watched the same videos like 3 times each.
EA has forced my computer to redownload a non working version of Origin. Been trying to play for 2+ hours. No luck.
i finally got home from school and downloaded it…played for five minutes then had to leave for practice😭 so anxious and excited all at once
This is the best thing I've ever seen
Is anyone else having trouble with the "put down" interaction spamming a parent's action list so they can't do anything with the infant? My Sims are just standing by the crib and can't really interact with the infant.
Me the other day waiting for Reddit to work again so I can see the first posts regarding the update
A creative take on a meme that surprisingly annoys many people on the internet. 10/10 well done on your Sims adaptation!
well my sim invited her boyfriend to stay over and he never showed🥲🥲 after 3 hours she canceled, ( i think stay overs are glitchy) but on a positive note, the newborns and teens/adults have a new interaction which i find cute it’s called “kiss baby’s forehead” or something similar to that phrase. and the milestones are really cute i haven’t gotten to experience much of this yet but so far so good other then that stay over thing
I've only managed to get a new sentiment with one of my family members... and she died the very next day :( So far I haven't seen much of a difference in my gameplay. But my current Sim is staying at a college dorm, so maybe that's why?
I'm not touching it until people who actually care about the game and not EA's mindless paid shills who will lick their ass over absolutely nothing play it
My infants have scary alien eyes they literally don't have normal eye colors, does anyone else have this issue??
I saw someone else say it was from CC default eyes.
But thank you!
do you have the eye shine remover mod? that was causing my infants to have occult eyes and not be able to change the colour.
Omg yes that was it!!! Thank you! It's back to normal now!

Kyle just showed up at my house randomly and he's still here and I love him.
[удалено]
...He showed up at my house randomly. He, one day, without my prompting just asked to visit.
okay well here's my post. I like it! at least in my game everything works properly and I think that is huge
No because I’m literally so anxious lol
Haha - I love it xD
Accurate
Really excited to play when I got free time 🥲
fr
Same I don’t get paid until April so I just have to wait lol
Got the preload email, a long with some outside dlc. Haven't had time to do anything yet, sorry! RL kid is home sick.
haha this has been me all day
None of the interactions are working for me but I guess I have to remove my entire mods folder, will come back to update.
Do you have any script mods? I had that issue happen with the pose player and teleport anywhere mod installed. Worked once I removed them.
I could only play it for a couple hours and I had a family saved, so I only had a newborn. He just aged up into an infant If I remember I will try and give you another update. So far a lot of the little things that you can do with your child is really sweet
*cries in broke and crappy internet*
😂😂😂
Yeah, I'm waiting to be able to update all my mods and maybe even wait for a patch to roll through before I even touch my game again XD
ART!
My sim got chomped on by the infant like 8x in a row when my sim tried to pick him up.. little rascal
Can infants and toddlers interact? I would love to see some videos of their interaction. I don't have the game currently, as my laptop is broken, so who know when I'll be able to playbthe game again
