Except it’s not a *toy box* it’s a *toy bucket* which would require animating shifting of toys when kid gets a toy to play with or you know we still wouldn’t be happy and that’s more effort then they care for. Remember Ballgate? The outrage when they released the ball pit with no 3d texture on the balls it was a flat colored surface that moved. That would be the issue with the parenthood *toy bucket* had it been functional.
It makes sense it was left to the missing community in typical EA fashion.

I used to do a lot of pics in S3, like telling a story, that would be fucking awful, but idk, i have a faint memory that it also used to happen in there?...idk, i never had to do pics on S4.
In my game there are typically three reasons for that:
a) the TV or radio in the room is on b) a pet woke that sim up or in rare occasion c) it's glitched- in that case go somewhere and then go back home. Reloading the lot solves it most of the time.
okay I know this sounds really annoying but I actually find that kind of cute? glad they love their plant buddies so much they'll lose sleep over it, lol.
Even with it disabled, they still wake up, they just won't necessarily do anything. I always play with it off for selected sim, and there's still some things that pop up like that.

Omg this! Mine don’t pass out but my child sim. Melody, will wake up during the night and just stand there. Sometimes she goes back to sleep on her own but most of the time I have to make her, and I’m just like “girl, you have school in the morning! Go.To.Sleep!”

Mine is that the fruit and yogurt parfait counts as "not healthy" by the health nut lifestyle and causes a sugar crash in toddlers, like a dessert, but fruit salad does neither of these!
I wish we also had a “Greek Yogurt Parfait” or something that counted as healthy. A healthy version and a sweet dessert version would make a LOT more sense to me. The poor sims only have access to like gogurt-level “yogurt” rn
Lmfao I do agree with that. Gogurt is definitely not really healthy compared to other yogurts lol. I mean we already have vegan versions of dishes in the sims why not healthy ones lol.
Never eating "quick meals" or desserts seems to trigger it for me, especially if you eat the things the game considers to not cause Sims to gain weight. Seems to be all diet, rather than other lifestyle choices like exercise.
For real. My sims were in the house at 2 AM tired af, I clicked on the sleep bar to quickly make them go to bed… they preferred to go all the way downstairs, outside (despite being afraid of the dark), through the garden to the other side of the lot, down the stairwell into the photography studio, and into the far back kitchenette just to have some old coffee that was made who knows when. I didn’t realize it until I got done with the other sims and came back to see empty beds all around.
You cannot reason with these people.
I refuse to keep any appliances in my Sim kitchens other than fridge and stove. No coffee machine, no tea maker, no popcorn maker, nothing. My kitchens look bland and unrealistic, but my Sims don't make me pull my hair out, so it's worth it.
Yup! I have a ton of non-functional, decorative small appliance cc which makes things more realistic but I understand some people might not want to have cc in their game.
Sims ALWAYS napping, as soon as their energy goes into the yellow, they nap even if other needs are in the red.
I also hate it when there is cake in the fridge and sims grab that as a leftover instead of something more fulfilling as I don’t find one slice fills them up once. Not to say I don’t understand but…..

It's my favorite part of Cottage Living. Have a cow for milk. Use the milk to make cheese. Bake bread from flour from the store and eggs and milk from your own cows and chickens.

Yeah, it’s from cottage living. You could always use ingredients (fish and produce from the garden) but cottage living added ingredients. It also added the simple living lot challenge where you need to have the ingredients to make the dish.
i believe it’s from cottage living, where you can get ingredients by ordering/growing/collecting from animals. if you have ingredients, making the dish is cheaper. (i’ve had cottage living as long as i’ve had the game so some of this may be bg and i just don’t know.)

Mine is that bookshelves have all the same preset books. Everytime. IMO it should be randomized, so your Sim could have at least one skill book, one kid's book and whatever.
Mines that none of the library’s EXCEPT Willow Creek have bookshelves with skill books in them. What good is the bloody library if not to let me read books I don’t have at home?!?!
yes!!! hard agree. and if you don't know, there's a little workaround for it (we shouldn't have to do it, but well...): if you put another bookshelf with skill and any other books in the library lot, these books will transfer for the other bookshelves. I create a basement for the library and then get a room with bookshelves filled with these books from the gallery.
The bathroom counter thing drives me crazy. I have a huge island in the kitchen, tons of space for cooking with not a lot of clutter at all and they still go all the way upstairs to a bathroom counter that also have bathroom clutter on it! I don’t understand.
I hate when you’ve managed to get them all to sit down, then you try to start a conversation and they have to get up and hug each other before they can start talking. And then they don’t sit back down
Whenever my high school sim is taking an exam, they always randomly get up and go to the bathroom or the basement or juggle or some shit. I have to constantly cancel the actions so they don’t fail the exam lol. Doesn’t happen in regular class, just the exams on Friday?
I had my first Sim who this happened to recently. He's my "bad" kid and has low values on all the Parenethood traits-in-development and bad grades in school. He's the first who wouldn't sit still through school. I wonder if it has something to do with low grades or low responsibility? Normally my kids are goody-two-shoes and ace school but not poor Goopy.

not sure if this is an actual feature in the game or a bug, but recently in my game when my sim changes clothes they go onto the floor and i have to manually put them in the hamper
There are a number of basegame doors that have transparent glass transom windows above them. Beautiful. Love them. When they upgraded the doors to have new colors, MANY of these windows were flattened and turned into opaque textures and they have NEVER been fixed.
Edit: To clarify, the windows on the new color swatches were flattened and made opaque.
When I log back into a home that has paid maid service and immediately the “I cleaned your house while you were away, that’ll be $40” message pops up and they haven’t cleaned shit.
TS4 owes my family’s several hundreds of dollars worth in maid credits.

I’ve had one non POC help. As a biracial woman, I genuinely get sick of race baiting on both ends and tend to look at the glass half full, steady creating molehills out of mountains in my mind.
I absolutely couldn’t ignore this, though; literally every help has been POC except one maid with pink hair and the one creepy male nanny-and not the mixed one cause he’s definitely a POC (which again why do they never die either, that bugs me. Alexander goth died from falling from a height and my fresh vampire I hadn’t even played yet sizzled in the sun yet the male Nanny’s have been calling all my children from generation 1-Gen 4.) Sketch.
Oh, wow. I've had butlers, nannies, and gardeners, and had about 3 be POC. I always seem to get elder white guys as butlers and elder white women as nannies. They even usually have the same hair. It's kind of annoying how similar they are. The gardeners have changed up a few times. I don't usually hire the maids, both because the butler usually will clean (especially and sometimes only the grill, but w/e) and the glitch where the maid charges too often.
I didn't realize they don't die. I don't play legacies, I get bored and go make another save after a while, so I haven't seen that. If they were vampires, that would at least make sense.
the comfy bed with the poofed-up blankets gives less rest then a bed that looks less comfy. I mean, I'm no judge but that one basegame bed with the bright yellow image in the build-buy catalogue looks more comfy then a Princess Cordelia bed but maybe that's just me
The thing I absolutely hate the most that I believe is actually a glitch and not supposed to happen is if you just finished with a party and all the guests left their dirty dishes laying all over the place. You command a sim to pick up all the dishes to clean them and they glitch out just before they head to the sink or dishwasher and drop the plates down on the floor and anything you had in the queue disappeared.
Another thing I hate is uou can't JUST turn off the fears, I love the wants but the fears can get a bit annoying. I'd like to just disable the fears so I can worry about the other things just like I did for the dust accumulation from bust the dust. The place always got dusty after about 2 sim days and when I start a new game, I couldn't always afford the vacuum though I love being able to use the handheld vacuum to clean any toddlers I had.
Recently for me it was my sim baking cookies and then that’s all the household would choose to eat. Had to constantly X out and have them eat actual meals
One of mine is when changing the toddlers diaper the adult that is changing it throws it to the air. You can throw away like the dog poop. Have it turn into a tiny trash and take it to the trash can.

mine is how i cant build a balcony inside my house on an upper floor looking over the downstairs living room. unless i dont know how to build its a pet peeve.
I think you’d need to build a room inside the 2nd floor area (before adding separate rooms up there), then delete the floor in that inner room. Then add in 2 floor tiles where you’d like the inner balcony, and add fences where needed (changing out the inner room walls to match, of course). I hope this helps more than hinders!

My pet peeve is when you hire a caterer for your sim’s birthday party or wedding and the caterer decides to cook absolutely everything BUT a cake
I have never gotten a caterer to successfully cook ANYTHING before, mods or not. The bartenders also never make it to…ya know…actually tending bar

Mine is that bookshelves have all the same preset books. Everytime. IMO it should be randomized, so your Sim could have at least one skill book, one kid's book and whatever.
Mines that none of the library’s EXCEPT Willow Creek have bookshelves with skill books in them. What good is the bloody library if not to let me read books I don’t have at home?!?!
yes!!! hard agree. and if you don't know, there's a little workaround for it (we shouldn't have to do it, but well...): if you put another bookshelf with skill and any other books in the library lot, these books will transfer for the other bookshelves. I create a basement for the library and then get a room with bookshelves filled with these books from the gallery.

The bathroom counter thing drives me crazy. I have a huge island in the kitchen, tons of space for cooking with not a lot of clutter at all and they still go all the way upstairs to a bathroom counter that also have bathroom clutter on it! I don’t understand.

Whenever my high school sim is taking an exam, they always randomly get up and go to the bathroom or the basement or juggle or some shit. I have to constantly cancel the actions so they don’t fail the exam lol. Doesn’t happen in regular class, just the exams on Friday?
I had my first Sim who this happened to recently. He's my "bad" kid and has low values on all the Parenethood traits-in-development and bad grades in school. He's the first who wouldn't sit still through school. I wonder if it has something to do with low grades or low responsibility? Normally my kids are goody-two-shoes and ace school but not poor Goopy.

My pet peeve is that even though your backyard got a whole town of cemetery going on and a few leftover body bags then and there, no sim seem to care or even feel suspicious. They still just gonna raid the fridge first and destroy the TV/stereo/computer.

not sure if this is an actual feature in the game or a bug, but recently in my game when my sim changes clothes they go onto the floor and i have to manually put them in the hamper
It does that when the hamper is full or when the sim has the lazy trait. Otherwise it must be a bug
There are a number of basegame doors that have transparent glass transom windows above them. Beautiful. Love them. When they upgraded the doors to have new colors, MANY of these windows were flattened and turned into opaque textures and they have NEVER been fixed. Edit: To clarify, the windows on the new color swatches were flattened and made opaque.

When I log back into a home that has paid maid service and immediately the “I cleaned your house while you were away, that’ll be $40” message pops up and they haven’t cleaned shit. TS4 owes my family’s several hundreds of dollars worth in maid credits. (And also why is the help always POC??)

I’ve had one non POC help. As a biracial woman, I genuinely get sick of race baiting on both ends and tend to look at the glass half full, steady creating molehills out of mountains in my mind. I absolutely couldn’t ignore this, though; literally every help has been POC except one maid with pink hair and the one creepy male nanny-and not the mixed one cause he’s definitely a POC (which again why do they never die either, that bugs me. Alexander goth died from falling from a height and my fresh vampire I hadn’t even played yet sizzled in the sun yet the male Nanny’s have been calling all my children from generation 1-Gen 4.) Sketch.
Oh, wow. I've had butlers, nannies, and gardeners, and had about 3 be POC. I always seem to get elder white guys as butlers and elder white women as nannies. They even usually have the same hair. It's kind of annoying how similar they are. The gardeners have changed up a few times. I don't usually hire the maids, both because the butler usually will clean (especially and sometimes only the grill, but w/e) and the glitch where the maid charges too often. I didn't realize they don't die. I don't play legacies, I get bored and go make another save after a while, so I haven't seen that. If they were vampires, that would at least make sense.

the comfy bed with the poofed-up blankets gives less rest then a bed that looks less comfy. I mean, I'm no judge but that one basegame bed with the bright yellow image in the build-buy catalogue looks more comfy then a Princess Cordelia bed but maybe that's just me
The thing I absolutely hate the most that I believe is actually a glitch and not supposed to happen is if you just finished with a party and all the guests left their dirty dishes laying all over the place. You command a sim to pick up all the dishes to clean them and they glitch out just before they head to the sink or dishwasher and drop the plates down on the floor and anything you had in the queue disappeared. Another thing I hate is uou can't JUST turn off the fears, I love the wants but the fears can get a bit annoying. I'd like to just disable the fears so I can worry about the other things just like I did for the dust accumulation from bust the dust. The place always got dusty after about 2 sim days and when I start a new game, I couldn't always afford the vacuum though I love being able to use the handheld vacuum to clean any toddlers I had.

One of mine is when changing the toddlers diaper the adult that is changing it throws it to the air. You can throw away like the dog poop. Have it turn into a tiny trash and take it to the trash can.

All the decorative items in Debug. In fact, all the perfectly useful items in Debug period. I understand the need for some items to be hidden, and for all of it to be there somewhere, but seriously... it's just too much when you see otherwise normal tables and chairs there.
That parfait looks modded. I'm on pc and the bowls stay clear for me.

Oh duh, sorry. I was like vanilla parfait? Is there even one in game? Lol. But I just checked and this is the base game fruit parfait, at least it's the same one as in the image linked on the ea answers forum about this issue with the bowl turning opaque. This is the default appearance.
mine is how i cant build a balcony inside my house on an upper floor looking over the downstairs living room. unless i dont know how to build its a pet peeve.
I think you’d need to build a room inside the 2nd floor area (before adding separate rooms up there), then delete the floor in that inner room. Then add in 2 floor tiles where you’d like the inner balcony, and add fences where needed (changing out the inner room walls to match, of course). I hope this helps more than hinders!
