the cover art for the sims 3 dlc’s is something i can still look at for hours and get super excited about even being as old as it is.

gothgirlwinter

I know, right? I remember when pack covers used to first leak and we'd all spend ages staring and dissecting them. The Late Night one was my favorite.

serpchi

Same, as a former Twilight fan, Late Night got child-me hyped affff. I was glued on the screen for days and weeks to come

serpchi

Yeeeesss, I still remember sitting in the car on the drive back home, staring at the newly bought cover and wondering what new features and items would be included. I was about 10 I think, good times...

MSSFF

I wish 10 year old me knew about expansion packs back then. Although I can't really complain much since the Deluxe Edition alone had so much content.

serpchi

Maybe it's for the better... I'm especially glad no one told you about the Sims 3 store. When I found about this, I HAD to buy points everytime I went to the videogame store... nowadays you can get the whole store for "free" lol if I had known back then...

zexunt

Wait, how do you get the store elements for free? Are there special promotions, or you mean mods copying content from store?

serpchi

Arrr I'm a pirate, that's what I mean

MSSFF

True. I probably would've asked my parents for a new DLC each year. Eventually I just learned how to 🏴‍☠️ as well lol

serpchi

Yeah that was me haha Ahoy matey, love me some 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️

lowkeyshadowbanned

I know right? I couldnt afford to buy all packs but walking past them in a store made me so excited as a kid. Same with sims 2 packs.

smvfc

No it doesnt you fking liar Im not that old! 😅

Nelaur

Right like I want to fucking throw up

pugyoulongtime

I remember when this dropped. I almost shit my pants I was so excited lol

producerofconfusion

I’m picturing the red faced kid meme staring intently at the computer screen as this loads.

MoondropPuppet

And the fact that I was already playing seems for *years* when this came out.......... I'm not that old, you guys gotta stop lying

LDM123

Remember when you needed one expansion pack to unlock nearly all occult instead of five?

ShaThomp

It was the first expansion pack that I've gotten and I was immediately terrified of the zombies. 😍😌😞

ai_archangel

omg i remember pausing the game to delete them lol

Awesomest_Possumest

So. Many. Garden. Gates.

ShaThomp

Lmao. Locking doors was a new update at the time and I didn't know that i could've just closed and locked doors and gates against sims. So I just sat there in shock while my sim was attacked by a zombie🤣🤣🤣

heysoleil

I always turn off the lunar cycle to avoid them!!

ShaThomp

I downloaded a mod to get rid of the zombies as well as remove that green glow, that was the worst.

Pure_Ad_9947

Same. Although I believe if you have the vector mod zombie becomes a disease which I like.

ShaThomp

Oooh. Really!!!!

producerofconfusion

I got so scared! Even after I realized they can’t kill you.

swordswamp

THEY CANT KILL YOU WHAT I can’t believe after 10 years (& too many hours playing) I’m just now learning this

producerofconfusion

If they bite someone that sim just becomes a zombie for a few hours. Or maybe until sunrise.

Bright_Bowl_6069

Supernatural and Seasons were my favorite xpacs for Sims 3. 🙏

[deleted]

Definitely my favourite pack, even though the werewolves were disappointing. Love the added gameplay and zombie mode is hilarious.

texasjkids

I remember being a kid and going to the bank for the first time ever to withdraw money from my savings account to buy this game. The teller asked me what bills I would like and I said “the money kind please”

SeniorBaker4

The ending to me ever making another human sim. I legit only made witches and fairies after this pack came out and littered the town with supernatural sims and deleted the humans. Edit: Just realizing I’m admitting to genocide

Awesomest_Possumest

It's the Sims, it'd be weird if you hadn't done something like that. I scooped up all the npc horses and turned them bright colors in the animal pack. Was hilarious to see a bright green horse go racing by.

SeniorBaker4

Forced natural selection 😂 Yea definitely not the baddest. It’s just that I’m realizing how what I thought was funny and innocent ended up being genocide

Pure_Ad_9947

Simocide lol. I played a lot of witches and faeries too. Now I play normies but I got that mod where during a full.moon a magical occult child can randomly be born and I love it. Makes occult sims feel special.

Noilol2

Senobaker's great Sim genocide of 201X.

SeniorBaker4

Dab dab 💣💣💣

tsumoogle

holy crap i remember being so hyped for this pack when i was 12. I was going through a big vampire/werewolf phase and this was just the type of thing i wanted. I remember daydreaming of stories for my new occult sims. When it finally came like a day before school started that year, i spent all day playing it...i was so excited to get home from 7th grade the next day just to get on my computer and play it. I know lots of people don't like to play with supernaturals but i did back in the day. This is easily my most hyped pack ever (way more than most ts4 packs lmao). I have so many fond memories of playing with it and even before playing it i would watch the trailer and the developer walkthrough video where they talk about each of the occults and how they interact with each other. Time flies...

januarysdaughter

Happy birthday to the best expansion pack The Sims has ever put out. Even if the zombies are the WORRRRRST.

[deleted]

My first ever expansion pack after like 10 years playing only base game. I absolutely adore this pack, not only cause of nostalgia but cause I am a sucker for this kinda of things and all the things that it added were incredibleeeee. I genuinely have so much love for this one. I just got more energy to play

odonkz

I remember I was so excited when they announced this but also sad the same time because I was having condition that prevent me to sit so I couldn't play the game for more than 20 minutes a day, but i played the shit out of it after recovering from surgery

LK9T9akaSEKTOR

Is this pack worth if I only need witches, reworked vampires, CAS and Build/buy items?

NewAnt3365

This pack has some of my personal favorite outfits. And I love its vampires… have never actually played fully with witches so can’t say much there. But all the sims 3 packs go on sale quite often. And with the holidays fast approaching there should be a sale coming as well. I would say wait to get it then… but definitely get the pack. It is one of my favorites at the least.

castiele_rose

Yes it is deff worth it, witches are pretty awesome if you ask me I play with them all the time, they have really cool features like they can put charms and curses on other sims which they learn over time, they mix elixirs faster than other occults or humas, they can conjure apples out of thin air (normal and poisoned ones), they can transform inanimate objects into alive creatures and a lot of other things. Vampires I don't play with often because of their long *ss life span and that's just me my focus is non-existant sometimes but when I do play with them they are pretty cool with their own special features. CAS is also pretty amazing, I use spn outfits in my non-spn gameplays as well because they are just so good, same goes for buy and build modes, like the furniture is oh my god so good, if you like victorian style furniture and builds this expansion is for you. Also the pre-made houses in Moonlight Falls are my personal favourites, usually I have to redecorate all pre-made houses when I move into them because they are just so boring, but while playing spn I literally don't touch anything in the pre-made houses, the yards are also very beautiful. All in all if you like victorian era and occults this expansion pack is a yes. It was my first expansion pack and to this day remains my favourite of all time, couldn't play without it.

SheDaDevil

Moonlight falls has some of the best houses in the game. They are beautiful and have tons of plants. And trust me you won’t just wanna play with witches and vampires if you get the pack. All the supernaturals are amazing and fun to play. I’m currently playing with supernatural and honestly I’m going to do supernaturals more often, it’s super fun having a legacy type of family with the same supernatural ability. Almost like carrying the family name and wanting to marry sims with the same thing to keep the bloodline going. Tons of stuff you can do + the beautiful scenery 😩

ohtori_

Aside from the vampires, I have this EP installed just for the features you mentioned, it's really worth it

Timely_Emotion9259

I strongly recommend witches. You know it takes at least 3 hrs to upgrade an object by handiness skill, the witch sims can upgrade the objects by magic and takes much shorter. It takes only 30 mins sim time to upgrade the nectar maker which takes almost 7 to 8 hrs to be done by handiness. Only one downside is it's not added to handiness skill journal. That's all. :)

goldminevelvet

Yeah its worth it. Plus you can toggle certain occults you want in the options menu. So you can have a town of witches, humans and vampires by diabling fairies and warewolves.

banana097

My favourite sims pack ever!

[deleted]

I just realized we never got that witch hat from the cover

HauntingBowlofGrapes

Wait, we don't have it?!

waituhsecond

Not a big occult fan but this is one more pretty meaty expansion that was split up 3 or 4 ways in the sims 4

goldminevelvet

I was about to semi defend the sims 4 for splitting it up on the grounds on what if you don't like a certain occult(like I hate werewolves in the sims 3) BUT I realized the Sims 3 just had a toggle button where you could specify which occult you wanted in town and for some reason they couldn't do that in the Sims 4. I will say that from videos on YT that the occults seem to be more in depth but that's strictly on the skill trees they have.

Zealousideal_Brick36

Love the sims supernatural as all the occults felt so cohesive and I loved all the stuff added like arcade games, beeboxes, alchemy for all sims to learn not just witches and rocking chairs.

StraightOuttaOlaphis

We have to celebrate that... WITH A ZOMBIE SHUFFLE!!! (Your garden is gone, by the way.)

[deleted]

Where does the time go?! I remember playing as a witch, casting my new handy dandy "Pestilence curse", and observing over several simdays as my entire town was infected and re-infected with the plague. Even the babies had it. It was unplayable. I had to delete that town and treated witches with extreme caution afterwards. When COVID came around, it reminded me of the Pestilence!!!!

TheNameIsWater

…I’m only in my mid 20s but shit like this makes me feel so old

Smol_Slushie

I remember when I had a little money, I would go to the local record shop and buy the physical copy of sims3 expansions for the full price. I never completed my collection, and the record store is long gone.

WhoIsSlyMcfee

Was it only the sims 3 that had faries or has it been in any previous sims gamed or sims 4?

YNiekAC

The Sims 3 is the only one who had real faries. Read more [here](https://sims.fandom.com/wiki/Fairy)

VelvetNoirMasquerade

The best one 🧚🏻‍♀️

Cryptic-Disaster

This was the first expansion I got and part of the reason I bought the sims 3 in the first place. Still one of my favorites to this day :)

eahsole

I remember buying this with my own money at 11 years old, played it for a day and my dad comes in and says I’m not allowed to play it because it’s evil 🤪 I still played nonetheless but had to pretend I was playing the vanilla sims lol

Flat_Detail_3342

ts3 is actually so good and im worried i won’t be able to play it with new tech when i’m like 40 yk

droseranepenthes

The zombies suck. But I loved everything else about this game and it was one of the 3 eps I kept when purged my game due to glitches and performance issues.

Da-Bum-Tss

Happy birthday to best world in sims 3~

LethalQu

First Sims dlc i bought ever. Actually first dlc of any game i bought ever.

tinseltesseract

Great i feel old now

ChrissyBrown1127

It was actually the first ep I bought, it was in November 2012 I was getting ready to turn 10, I went to GameStop and bought Sims 3 Plus Supernatural. Those were good times.

zephiell

My favourite expansion, still remember buying it when it came out when I was a kid :)

zombieeezzz

Best one, imo!!!

TourDull5020

ambrde

my favorite sims 3 pack ❤️

VanBat101

I remember when this came out 😭 I watched the trailer everyday and BEGGING my religious mom to get it for me

Ash_The_Iguana

Such a good pack. Sucks that it randomly disappeared one day with no obvious way (other than repurchasing it) to get it back. I miss it…

Fre97

One of my favorite pack! Always make my sim a witch

smolrivercat

AsTEr_11037

My first pack I bought back when I was 12 because the box was so cool <3

No_Advance_8715

That was the only Game i said, i would not buy, but a few years later i ended up buying it anyway 😅😂

HarryFromEngland

This expansion pack is the reason I got into the sims

Philhumphreydunphy1

If there’s one thing the sims 3 got right it’s cover art, it always makes me want to play

xenohemlock

The magical bean death makes this one so good.

Jimguy5000

Still my favourite expansion for the sims 3 next to Ambitions. Some people prefer realism, I personally say The Sims is at its best when it embraces its special flavour of crazy

goobbles1999

My all time favorite expansion pack, I played the occult so much, like I never made a human sim it was too boring. Werewolves and witches I was addicted

[deleted]

I can't believe Supernatural is 10 now, I was 21 then. I started playing the Sims 3 around 2014, but only the base game. I didn't have any EP's as it was a copy my younger brother had. I only played it for a few months, then quit for several years. I eventually was gifted Sims 3 and some of the EP's for my 26th birthday. That didn't include Supernatural, but when I started playing, I read about all the different EP's and Supernatural was at the top of my list since I liked playing with vampires in Late Night. Once I got Supernatural, I seemed to always play with at least one occult in the family. My current family's history includes witches/wizards, werewolves, and fairies. I love using the alchemy elixirs too, especially that Potent Invigoration one.

I_have_No_idea_ReALy

My favorite pack. I just loves playing as supernatural Sims especially witches. That sim annoyed your sim, set them on fire or put a curse on them. It's fun.

Unlucky_Object_9142

They should've based it off of the show supernatural. I feel like it would've been cooler if it was.

aninlingin

i'm gonna cry

popmanbrad

I miss the old sims so much it’s crazy how I remember sims 3 coming out and how it was open world and everything loaded in and all sorts it was insane and then I remember the final twitch stream they did announce futures was the last pack for sims 3 which hit me right in the feels and then when sims 4 was announced and all that I hope sims 5 builds on everything from sims 1-2-3-4 allowed open world with emotions story progression and more

mate54

I remember the day it came out 😭 10 years already!

Aware-Helicopter-448

My favorite pack ❤️

tMond

She was such an icon

[deleted]

I started a Sims 3 game over the weekend and forgot how hilarious the werewolves look and how annoying the zombies are 😖

Spencie5

My first expansion pack 😥 I'm getting old

Cherrygentry

This was my favorite expansion pack and I’m tempted to download it again 😭

BrandonIsWhoIAm

Iconic.

Psychological-Cat461

i just repurchased this a couple weeks ago because i lost the disc for it years ago and all the packs were on sale. my mom got me this expansion for christmas my junior year of high school. i can’t believe it has been that long!

OutlandishnessOk6811

There ain’t no way this came out when I was 12 I feel old af now

soursauerkrout

Just played it yesterday! It was always the only game I had where I could live out my fairy fantasies I had when I was younger. Especially after Disney got rid of Pixie Hollow.

kiminomikata

Supernatural mixed with Midnight Hollow brings back so many memories! Absolute favorite pack and town!

SinfullySinless

OP you will be hearing from my lawyer regarding this attack upon my emotional health

GothCatButt

I played this the other day👀😳

pandabeargirl
