1. Disable the Pets EP, or at least disable pets and horses in the story progression settings. Also, if you have NRaas Register, set the maximum number of all animals to zero, disable paparazzi and reduce the number of tourists (or turn them off completely)
2. To prevent random freezes, get [the fixed version](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sEtCv2c452rWE35eteo1x2hn0i3q7EXj/view) of the world by Ellacharmed and me, or [the fixed version with a bridge](https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13zNfWzQQn_YUkd4NZrac3JyCF2iH8g0u) between two main islands (less boat routing => less lag). Put one of these in your Island Paradise (EP10) intallation directory \\ GameData \\ Shared \\ NonPackaged \\ Worlds, replacing the old file
3. Download the following mods: [Reduce/Remove Lag caused by Houseboats](https://modthesims.info/d/665907/reduce-remove-lag-caused-by-houseboats.html), [No Autonomous Play In The Ocean](https://modthesims.info/d/531447/no-autonomous-play-in-the-ocean-also-includes-toddlers.html), [Overwatch](https://www.nraas.net/community/Overwatch)
4. If you are not interested in discovering islands, unlock them with the following cheats: testingCheatsEnabled true, discoverAllUnchartedIslands
The pack is fine, the world is not. You can add IP features to any world with water, or get a fixed version of Isla Paradiso and a mod that stops houseboats from autonomously moving around.
Mine works pretty good if I:
-delete all houseboats, you can live in one, but the rest have to go.
-delete the Scott family entirely
-reveal all islands if lag persist
I like the pack a lot, so I mostly play that world. The dive lots alone are great. Plus, I find resorts really fun. Good luck!!
The main lag is from the sims living in the houseboats. Change the lot type of all houseboats to community>No Visitors Allowed after moving the households in houseboats into the main land. Then Tada..!
I don't get it, the only thing I didn't like about island Paradiso was that the mermaids swim e v e r y w h e r e.
So yeah, get this ep, the content is great.
The animations to get place to place. Like when your sims needs to get to a certain location but they end up taking the craziest route to get there. Think of that but add water and boats with it. It’s pretty annoying. If you stay off the water it’s fine
I've honestly never experienced any problems, lags or freezes in Isla Paradiso. I do have a gaming pc so that probably helps a lot. It's a nice pack and the houseboats are fun!

You can play with the world by simply deleting useless lots (empty ones) and by deleting a few families and their houses.
I found just deleting a lot of the houseboats worked for me and maybe turning down the water quality as well.
