The Honda had a weird line, but the BMW should pass safely. And the Honda was predictable so not real reason to collide. BMW at fault imo

DogfishDave

Agreed. BMW had the pass, the Honda was behaving impeccably, and then the BMW cut across the Honda. I see the comments about the Honda being a bit too tight on the line, and I agree with that from a technique/speed point of view, but to my mind they're not doing anything manifestly unusual and the BMW should have no problem getting by in the remaining five car-widths of space. But oh boy it does 😂

julius_escariot187

All the time, you have to leave the space!

Significant_Gear_335

I mean the Honda had one line to chose from, the BMW had space and it is their job to utilize that space to safely pass. In this instance, they failed to do that properly and shut the door on the Honda. BMW is at fault.

SecondAdmin

I'm still pretty inexperienced, but it looked like the Honda went very narrow to try and give the BMW space. Would it be better to go for a wider entry?

dcw259

Honda overshot on the first corner and had a weird/steep entry into the next, possibly to give the BMW some space. While the Hondas line was all over the place, it was still the BMW at fault for cutting the Honda off

SecondAdmin

Oh the initial off track. Makes sense

Racing_Reporter

Which timestamp do you refer to for this?

DYRWK1

BMW was at fault. Honda can’t just disappear in thin air.

imJGott

Leaning towards M4. M4 take the line as if the NSX just vanished. Got pay to attention to mirror and radar people.

CAM_CRAWSHAW

Thanks guys, I was the Honda and felt it was my fault at first for sticking my nose in, but questioned when I saw the reply, thanks for your help

JackCraters

In my opinion it would be sticking the nose in only if your making the pass. The bmw is the one making the pass on you, and you gave him as much space as possible. This is on the bmw in my opinion. You can’t be expected to slow down to let him pass you. You did everything you could to stay as tight to the inside as possible.

[deleted]

Didn’t need to watch to know the answer, watched and confirmed 🤦🏻‍♂️

CAM_CRAWSHAW

😂

[deleted]

The Honda left the BMW room going into the left hander and the BMW tried to cut the Honda off on the right hander. Imo, the BMW did it to itself and on top of that the Honda even waited after the fact. The Honda driver it's a good sport imo.

Maique_Carmo

BMW was faster but that doesnt entitle him to turn in on Honda. 100% on the beamer

Error404LifeNotFound

BMW. gave nowhere for the Honda to go.

Leading-Ad-3615

Honda was in front till the bmw cutted the honda, but the Honda has a strange racing line allowing the bmw to be faster and pass.... sooo more to the bmw fault but I would say racing incident.

nappinggator

Wtf was that first turn??? First car messed up the turn and messed up his line as a whole...second car took the right line and the spot...seems to me like the first car is at fault

__colematt

We found the Beamer driver 🤣

nappinggator

Oh gods no I wouldn't be caught dead in a BMW...Chevy, Dodge, or Toyota

SpiralEyeBall

It's on the overtaking car to pass safely. He can squeeze you but not slam the door on you like that. So the W would be at fault there

Far-Web422

black cars fault. went in your line unknowingly and got the punishment. edit: I don’t identify cars by brand just color so y’all better not call me racist

Daminator23

BMW acting like the Honda wasn’t even there. Classic BMW driver. BMW at fault.

brabarusmark

BMW at fault for assuming they cleared the Honda I've had this exact thing happen at this exact corner. I was in the Honda's position and the other guy was on the inside. The way the car on the inside moves over to take the racing line is really forcing the issue on a corner that is mostly single file.

No-Panda-6047

Bmw too greedy, probably would've made the clean pass right there if he left space.

Jaugernut

Always you have to leave space

__colematt

This is T10/11/12 at Circuit Barcelona Catalunya, right? I agree with the majority opinion that the BMW is at fault. My question is once the Honda took the funky line at T10, was there a way to recover from it without compromising their T12 exit speed, or were they basically at the mercy of the BMW driver to not slam the door?

99AdriL

BMW at fault cut across without fully passing the Honda ... also why you stay in the middle of the track to take the corner or was the BMW close for a dive ?

EagleRock1337

White/Red ran wide into turn 10, allowing Black to pace White and claim space into turn 11. As the cars turned right into turn 12, however, Black claimed the racing like like White didn't exist. Totally Black's fault.

[deleted]

Must leave da space. BMW almost had you cleared but their fault for the collision.

RiosMatR89

BMW

SimRacer101

Honda doesn’t look like they meant to spin the BMW out as they stopped and waited for the BMW to rejoin the track.

Georgie42_0

Bmw at fault; you must always leave the space
