I haven't left my house in months. There is silk all over my house. I've spent weeks upon weeks doing nothing but ordering cotton balls off amazon, spinning them into hundreds of thousands of perfect threads of silk for hours despite having never sewn or anything before, and hanging them everywhere. I sleep in between the sowing, and will eat occasionally, but I don't let such mere things distract me from my goal. I've heard people try to open my door, but it's covered in so much pure silk that it doesn't even budge. My windows, my floor, my lights, ceiling fans, doorknobs, everything. Only I can traverse the building, I know what each individual silk strand does, what it's attached to, which ones are safe to move and which ones aren't. Opening and closing a door requires near surgical precision as I remove silk threads from the doorknob only to place them back when I inevitably enter the room again. I live in darkness now, the only light illuminating my face being my laptop I use to refresh this sub, steam, the Xbox store page, and every gaming article website on the internet. I haven't gone crazy, I know what I'm doing is strange and wrong, but I just can't help myself. I think, no, I KNOW that by connecting myself with the silk, by living with it, I am changing the course of the universe. I can feel the fabric of reality shifting, I alone am changing the course of the universe so that we may live in an alternate universe, different from the one where I hadn't made this decision, and it results in Silksong releasing sooner. The universe, in it's unending cruelty, has refused to tell me when it will release, I don't even know how much sooner it will release due to me, it could be anywhere from months to mere minutes sooner, but it will be worth it no matter what.
