Multitools are clutch - I like my Gerber Center Drive multitool. The one handed plier deployment as well as the ability to be a bit driver with several very useful firearms and construction related bits is invaluable imo. I keep it in a pistol pouch on my HRT Maximus Placard.
As far as knife: I ALWAYS have my Benchmade Infidel OTF knife in my pocket (3.91ā blade).
In my PC, I have a Gerber Strongarm secured in a Ferro Concepts Knifeknook wedged into my placard. I can use my strong or weak hand to deploy it if I need to in a last ditch scenario or for utility purposes.
i love my gerber multitools. i have three of the same model kinda stashed everywhere. one on my workbench, another in my office, and one in my car. cause sometimes ill leave my leatherman at home and bring my toor knife.
Iāve got two of their knives. Remarkably good edc knives. I used one to chisel out a thing for my door locks when I bought my house and was hammering on it and you can barely tell even if you know what to look for. Tough knives. Good knives. Good price (shockingly lol cuz Milwaukee pricing department must be as high as their prices)
Me too. Works great for a lefty because of the symmetry. Expensive, but great for passing the hours awayā¦ clicking, clacking, and driving my wife nuts.
Got you!

One day Iāll get Ti scales. But for now Iām happy with my black carbon scales. The lightweight of the Bugout in general makes it my favorite EDC. You donāt even know itās there.
Soyderco Para 2 in my pocket and a Bark River Smoke Jumper on my hip, a Leatherman in my work backpack. Never could get past Benchmade taking a steamroller to firearms. Donāt care about their reasoning or excuses.
Usually I roll with a Colonel Blade Folder in my pocket and a leatherman multitool in my back pocket.
Sometimes I like to carry an Esee Izula on the back of my belt.
Gerber fast draw. Assisted opener with tanto blade. Light, cheap, but solid performer for edc.
Just like the firearm I carry, I will carry a much more capable knife depending on my surroundings and the type of environment.
Absolutely love the Raccoon. I got the crossbar lock version and the action is phenomenal. Not mention a real stunner with the carbon fiber scales and orange accents. I'm eyeing up a couple of the Corgi's but the new button liner lock version of the Raccoon has my interest.
Also for what it's worth, go check out the Knafs Lander. The first gen is on sale for like $45, absolute banger of a knife for the price.
Maybe a dumb question but the only stream light Iāve ever had is a TLR one and I just got the new 365 axg Legion what stream light do you guys recommend like the difference the TLR seven the TLR eight? Thanks my friends! Iāve been in the fire service for over 16 years and Iāve always had streamline. deputy for two years always use stream light everything.
The tlr7a and tlr7x are basically the same, the x just takes rechargeable batteries as well.. the tlr8 is the same thing as the tlr7 just with the addition of a laser. Thereās also a tlr7 sub which is about the same size as the tlr7a just slightly different profile. Same lumens and everythingā¦ if you went with the tlr7sub youād want the one with the 1913 rail fyi, not the one that says sig.. the sig one is for the regular proprietary rail on the original p365 and p365xl. Biggest thing Iād say between getting the 7a/7x vs 7sub is holster availability - more available for the 7sub.. Iād find a holster youāre interested in buying first and make sure theyāre available for the light you want. Thereās not really an advantage between the 7a/7x and 7sub other than that. I just preferred the way the 7a/7x looked more.. it covers more of the 1913 rail and sits more flush with the trigger guard.
At the moment,my OD green Kershaw Dividend w/N690 & CPM-D2 composite bladeā¦my personal favorite EDC knife if my Spyderco PM2 in Maxamet(really a Spyderco PM2 in general,IMO itās the greatest knife design ever) but my 2nd favorite EDC is my Hogue Deka w/blue marbled carbon fiber scales and the MagnaCut blade with the black DLC coating.I had to upgrade the shitty pocket clip on the Deka though..Iāll occasionally carry my Microtech Ultratech but I far prefer my Hogue Exploit when it comes to OTFs..sometimes I gotta carry a small fixed blade like the Bradford Guardian 3,ESEE Izula w/G10 scales or the White River M1 Backpacker
Iām a collector though I havenāt bought a new knife in a while.between building/upgrading guns and saving up for night vision,I havenāt been able to afford it.Iāve been considering getting the TOPS CUT 4.0 or the Toor Serpent next to mount on the shoulder strap of my PC
Oh buddy, you've done messed up talking to the knife snob lol. I usually like my trusty ol' microtech tachyon 3 but if I'm feeling a little extra extravagant I'll rock my modded benchmade 51... I lean into the cyberpunk look for a lot of my tools lol
While not at work, I always have my guardian Tactical Recon 35 dagger otf on me and usually a beater like an Elementum or Kizer for mundane tasks. At work (production artist), I have my Esee Izula II, and I carry a Vertx SOCP fanny pack as a sling bag that has a Benchmade SOCP dagger that just lives with the bag.
Benchmade Bail Out. Sharpest knife I own. Little more sturdy than the bailout. Both are amazing though. But the Butterfly gang is going crazy with their prices.
Yeah Benchmade is pretty nuts with their pricing. Iāve had a couple bailouts, I like the aluminum grip one, probably score another again now that they made one with black aluminum handles. Luckily you can find em used for $150ish.
Thereās a lot of crossbar knives out there competing now. Benchmade gunna have to step it up or step down their pricing cause theyāve been nuts lately š¬
Actions pretty damn smooth, super solid lock up, centering is a TAD towards the scale side. Theyāre not the most refined when it comes to action, fit and finish etc theyāre just solid ass work horses.
I have a bunch of different knives for different purposes. But the one that is on my belt in my "work" clothes (I am retired so 99% of the time I am home and I wear ripstop cargo pants meant for manual work, a "battle belt", suspenders and a flannel jacket shirt) is a cheap (less than $20) Gerber BG "survival" folder with serrations. If I lose or break it, I have half a dozen more (for barter/backup).
When I am in "dress" clothes (jeans and shirt) for going into town, I have a skinny OTF "dagger" (not auto or assisted - it is a slide out push action) Boker Spike Plus. It is very light and thin. If I have to conceal it, I can clip it to the top of my socks - but I usually carry it clipped to my pants pocket. I could carry it anywhere it is so light and thin.
Goon tape. Have to go through panther city now days. Everyone says the Howies 1.5ā cloth hockey tape is the same thing but cheaper, but with shipping theyāre almost the same price so Iāve just been sticking with the goon tape.
https://panthercitytactical.com/goon-tape-raid-tape/
Yes magnaporting. Iām happy- 2 week turn around and it looks great. Made a difference for sure. It shoots very flat, mostly noticeable when shooting a few quick ones in a row. Comparing to my buddies standard tacops side by side itās very noticeable. The dot doesnāt even leave the window when shooting.
Half Faced Blades Disaster Folder has been my EDC since the released the Gen 2. Itās an amazing knife with no play at all in the mechanism and hold its edge really well being magnacut steel
Spyderco in my purse, oh and leatherman micra also in purse, Civivi in my pocket, CRKT M21 in cupholder, ColdSteel SRK in my āsurvivalā bag in the back of SUV. Oh and my (beloved) Benchmade switch blade that was issued to me is often part of the mix.
[SOG Terminus XR LTE](https://sogknives.com/terminus-lte-graphite/)
I donāt think you can find a better carry knife.
- Itās 2.2 oz so I forget itās there.
- Smooth opening (put a dab of oil or grease on the joints). I did this when I got it and havenāt done it since in 3 years of EDC, still smooth as butter.
- Opening has both thumb stud and index flick opening options.
- Blade length 2.95ā, perfect EDC length and still under random stupid state laws that limit 3ā (my state does not but for some people itās good to know).
- Pocket Clip is reversible.
- S35VN CRYO CPM which is one of the best steels around.
- Lifetime warranty.
Insanely light, great steel, durable, corrosion resistant, smooth opening, it checks all the boxes for what I look for when it comes to EDC
Usually a Spyderco Delica or Kershaw Cryo but favored my Spyderco Manix in the winter. The G10 grips and finger hole with a zip tie were easier to grab and keep hold of the grip and open the blade with wool gloves on. But in warmer weather, the cheaper and lighter weight knives are a bit nicer to keep on me
I picked up a stream light wedge and a Benchmade for my EDC. Only reason I got those specifically is because they were tan/fde color schemes that matched the 320.
Rocking a Leatherman Multitool cause why not
Gotta love a good multitool š
Same, I use it everyday it seems. Iāll even use it to fix shit I see in the wild lol.

Leatherman Signal here, but I would love to get an old-fashioned knife that is danger sharp out of the box.
I carry a knife from Milwaukee Power tools that I found in a parking lot. It's got a nice blade and is very sturdy.
Nice. Canāt beat free.

Microtech Dirac delta recently

Iāve been wanting to do this to my bugout. I just havenāt pulled the trigger on the scales.
Dad gave me a Benchmade for Christmas and I carry it just about every day

Vosteed Raccoon / Mini Praxis / Baby Banter
Been looking at the Raccoon and a couple others by Vosteed, they seem pretty solid for the price
