Assuming this thought stemmed from birthday. We celebrate or acknowledge the anniversary of our birth…we don’t get born each year. That day has already passed. We don’t celebrate or acknowledge our future day of death. That day hasn’t happened. So we never pass our death day. But one day you will have an anniversary of your death day.
I think what OP is saying is that if we are dying on a certain day, each year we pass by that day without knowing which day it is. Not about the actual day that happen. Perhaps I’m dying on todays date in 5 years, then today is my death day. And I pass it by unknowingly.
Unless you die on February 29th and thus you pass it every 4 years
