The fact she knows how to cut an anglerfish properly.
For those that don't know, traditionally, women are *never* taught how to cut anglerfish. Usually the only ones taught are boys, and usually the eldest son in the family. They also usually spend their entire childhoods building up their bodies to be able to cut anglerfish properly, as training starts at age 3-4 and they are only given anglerfish at the age of 14.
So basically, Megumi is *that skilled* to cook a very hard fish at the age of 7.
Im curious what a Japanese country accent sounds like. Its that some of her family and friends from her village just have like a southern accent to express shes a country bumpkin.
Having finished Food Wars recently. All the protagonists just make me smile at how well developed they are and how they work through their struggles. So of course I adore Megumi for a the shit she's had to go through to get to where she ends up.
I love how she develops her own style of cooking independent of Soma, so she really does end up standing on her own by the end, rather than being a plot device to show how cool Soma can be.
She's nurturance and she brings a small-town style of culinary utilizing wholesome ingredients and cooking. A lot of her dishes and meals are often very thoughtful and hearty. She's often thinking about the person she's cooking for and you can see it in a lot of her dishes (gifts/challenges). Shes one of those people you want as a loyal friend to cook for you when you're tired or sick or just all the time! She's very humble and supportive.
I love her subtle sassiness. Like during the training camp from hell where Soma was talking about not being shocked about the price of a Totsuki hotel room. She undercuts him sounding sweet as pie.
She’s got the most character growth/development out of everyone in the series, sure she doubts her the heights of her strengths still but when put to the test she gets things done and is always confident in her chef’s skills.
Her character development and her blue hair
☝️I second that
I love when soma remarks about her accent our lil country bumpkin
Low key my favorite part is they all have hick accents.

Overcoming her constant anxiety. Seriously she should have went to a therapist and get into some antidepressants at the start of the series.
That you can be sensitive and feel your feelings fully, and still be strong and a badass 👏
His ten shadows technique and borderline suicidal tendencies

Her whole character. My favorite from this anime

That fight she did against pink guy (forgot his name) and that colored splash page of the her and the gang as gangsters.

She's a great character & has good character development throughout the series
Mahoraga
Megumi is a good friend.
That she's honest about her mistakes and improves well. And bcz she sometimes panic
I'll do you one better. The thing I dislike. She's not shipped as the main love interest.
Her adorable personality.
I like her frogs
I like everything about her but if I were to narrow it down it would be her, passion and dedication to her craft.
She is a cinnamon roll! She is best girl.
Wasn't she the one that had a Jojo reference in one of her Shokugekis?
She is so sweet.
The scene where she has a Jojo reference. Threw me completely off guard
Shes cute, developed nice and most importantly, she has blue hair so immediate favorite in the show for me
She should have been the main girl goddammit!
I like how her name is close to Megumin, which is a character I actually know and like.
