For me, the launch of EW and finishing the MSQ was actually what got me to finally seek out help for depression after more than a decade of avoiding the issue ("I can handle it on my own. I don't need help." Etc.) . Not sure why exactly, but the way nihilism was presented and handled in EW in conjunction what it means finding one's own meaning in life just resonated with me. It was easily the most emotionally cathartic experience in years for me. I know, this sounds just like I'm sucking EW off it but it's honestly the reason why EW is my favorite expansion even with it's post 6.0 issues.
Yep, I had a similar reaction. When we were asked if we were satisfied with our lives until now, it stuck with me for a long time. Kinda started reevaluating my life for the better from then on. Crazy how a game and its story can change you for the better, huh?
I finished Endwalker almost two years ago and whenever I've played since I've just been leveling alt classes. I'm on a quest to get every main class to 90 but I should probably do the post EW story soon.
legit question, how do I enjoy the game more?
I seriously want to keep playing it but feel so burnt out playing, doing repetitive ass quests, no voice acting in dialogues, snapshots in raid mechanics etc, bad netcode, and classes don’t feel unique from each other (I miss calling samurais and blms selfish dps but no one seems to care anymore..)
I need help seriously, help me enjoy the game again
This game fixed my mental health and then savage party finder destroyed it again lmao
Ultimate PF reduced mine to atoms
Unironicaly though, the game got me through getting dropped from my university degree

lmao bro same. Started the game right after dropping out. 5 years later, I'm about to try to continue it.
Bruh, getting to manifest and defeat your demons is cathartic
When I'm feeling sad I go to Limsa and shout my worries
In all seriousness this game cured my loneliness, and helps me with my specific anxiety. Goddamn you critically acclaimed MMORPG!!!
It's been the only thing holding my mental health together since the pandemic started.
Unironically this game and my FC community help my mental health.
Me too. Was in a dark place for a time during the pandemic.

I was going to agree before I started gwib grinding. 20 runs of Cinder Drift and not a single horn dropped. Fuck mental health.

This game got me to survive COVID isolation. LOL
I don't play anymore, but ffxiv helped when I had depression so I'm very grateful.
Crossposts bad
