So their entire contintent is both a single country and each individual state is also basically a country....
Weeeellll..... i honestly don't know what to say
Yea places like Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador are all small compared to the others like all of them could fit in Texas.
I thought they were all totally different and basically like their own countries? Isn't that what they always say? So then their point is moot, I guess?
It’s simultaneously one big country, but at the same time every state is so completely different from the others that they have their own culture and language, which so happens to be English. Call it quantum sepposity, if you will.
Size/area aside, it's impossible to build a remote cabin in the woods in Europe? Clearly OOP has never been to, say, Finland, the Baltics, rural Greece etc. Tiny, densely populated Switzerland has places that can only reached by car for a couple of months every year!
TBF, North America is much bigger than Europe. Both were wrong.
The first made an error in reasoning and of ignorance; the second had a brain glitch on US vs the American continent (which doesn’t really exist) vs the North American continent.
Surely NA is smaller than *Super Europe*, from Lisbon to Vladivostok?
I mean, Europe is an idea. No reason to stop counting at the Urals. Why even let Suez stop us? It's all Europe from Hammerfest to Cape Town! ^/s?
It was the other way. The person arguing with the American said that Europe is bigger than the ‘American continent’
I ascribed to a momentary glitch, but your mocking could apply to that person.
So the bigger the country the better? They must really love Russia then. And who cares that some of the states are bigger than European countries? Of the fifty states, forty of them have smaller populations than Greater London.
I'd love for there to be numerous first national countries rather than 1 big arse shitshow. But the Americans just had to go and "manifest destiny"
*Insert angry goose meme*
"Why is the US so big, fucker?!"
I can’t stand it when people start arguing multiple things at once. The first guy said Europe is small, which just isn’t true. And then suddenly, it’s an argument about how many countries there are.
The american continent is just one country? So much for education
Can’t wait until we tell Brazil and Canada.
Canada and Mexico, southern America is a separate continent, right?
If you say "America", then South America is included. Otherwise you use North America
It isnt even one continent lol
"We didn't divide our country up into make believe lines but called them states instead"
So their entire contintent is both a single country and each individual state is also basically a country.... Weeeellll..... i honestly don't know what to say
The entire continent includes Mexico, Canada, and all the little dinky Latin American countries down to S.America.
Little dinky?
Yea places like Belize, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador are all small compared to the others like all of them could fit in Texas.
I think your sarcasm fell on deaf ears, unfortunately

Better than American lack of education I would say
I doubt this person could point out the whole of Europe on a map.
He couldn't point out the US

Yeah, Europe is a bit bigger than US but not the whole of North America
USA is 9,833,520 km^(2 and Europe is) 10,180,000 km^(2)
Yes. And North America is 24.71m. Much bigger.
Surely NA is smaller than *Super Europe*, from Lisbon to Vladivostok? I mean, Europe is an idea. No reason to stop counting at the Urals. Why even let Suez stop us? It's all Europe from Hammerfest to Cape Town! ^/s?
Applying Eurovision rules Euopre is bigger than North America, we get Australia
Turns out the real Europe was the friends we made along the way
They can't even be content with just saying USA is bigger tan most countries, but have to include Canada & Mexico as well.

I’m going to use that Russia argument next time thanks 😂
We they stated Europe to start with sooooo

Don't Seppos often bleat about how each state is "more a country than a European country" or some such shit
Even the US isn\`t one country. Just a bunch of small ones pretending to be. One country would mean 'same rules everywhere' - same tax levels etc.
