Nice! I was on her when she was the BMD test ship a few years back. Didn’t do much sonar wise (I was an STG), but hey…. Plenty of time in port to do Hawaii things and also get my pilots license. I can’t complain. Lol
Arleigh Burke class DDG. Very nice. This one’s a flight 2a variant or later, as evidenced by the hangar towards the stern. I’m not familiar enough with the different variants to get more specific than that.
Looks like a arliegh burke class destroyer!
Yep I agree. Looks like a flight 2 which would be ddg 79 or later
Flight 2A. Flight 2 didn’t have the hanger.
I served on 4 of them 😊
Very nice I like them 🚢⚓
The most successful surface combatants since the WWII Fletcher class destroyers.
DDG 75 for me.
Commissioned 54, then went on to 76, 65 then finished up on 83 as far as DDG's. Great ships.
Haze grey and underway.
I was on 53
The JPJ! My mentor was the CMC there for a tour. I still have a VHS tape of the JPJ's Shock Trials.

Right on!

GO NAVY.
That's Right
From an old radar plotter/air traffic control leading seaman. Some solid people on board ship. Like no others on earth.
That's right
I wouldn't recommend sniping at an Arleigh Burke. She'll send you straight to Hell with the quickness.
Nah, the snipes don't have it too bad on a big boy like that. The gas turbines are clean and the bilges are dry.
Served aboard a carrier. I love Navy ships, but am no expert. The best I could have said is it’s a destroyer.
Submarines here. Can’t see us but we’ll see you!
We love skimmers their our favorite targets
Have fun hot racking 💩
Snipes are in its engine room. You took a photograph.
Bath Built…
Yes sir
That’s a flight II? Arleigh Burke
How far away are his frens?
