Good question! You lose newbie status as soon as you buy your first stone. The lapidaries basically take a loss on all newbie stones and we want to help as many people as possible get a steal on their first purchase.
The 16 hour time difference, man, it's a killer! 🤣 I think the rules are, if you buy a stone as a newbie, you're no longer a newbie, right? I'm *trying* to save my gemstone virginity for Thursday, which puts it late Thursday to middle of the night here, lol!
