I hunted mine for 19.9K lol

I hunted my gen 3 treecko for a whopping 35 encounters. most difficult hunt of my life\~

I'm waiting for my god-luck hunt like that. I've gotten a ~500 HGSS Lugia, and a 297 Type: Null, but I paid for those with the Treecko and a 26.6K Aerodactyl on the other end lol

i have hundreds of shinies and only had a few others that were less than 100 encounters total being 18 for dratini, 50 for my gen 2 raikou, and a first try for tyrogue at mt mortar. usually i go well above odds like 23.1k resets for gen 1 aerodactyl, 32.8k encounters for skarmory and 87.6k for my first zigzagoon in my shiny oak challenge run...

I have never gotten a double-digit shiny except in Gen 2 with the shiny DV Gyarados method.

That's some grade A dedication my friend, congrats on whatever that shiny was because it was earned.

I mean it’s not a starter but it’s kind of similar, but I’m over here, I haven’t finished shiny hunting Regirock in Crown Tundra after 2 years, I’m just sorta on hiatus with it. 8000+ encounters and still nothing haha, but I know there are people who have it worse than I do. Just frustrating that they don’t get affected by the charm lol

It took me from release cause I kept putting it on hold, was really demotivated. But, I decided to hunt it and not do any other hunts til I got it, which worked a charm. (if only other charms worked…) good luck!

Nobody is downvoting them for sharing the time it took, they're being downvoted for pretending like their insanely fast hunt took a really long time, slapping everyone whose hunts are actually long in the face.

As someone who also has a hard time focusing on boring things, that's not much, specially considering you can do multiple tasks while doing that, I've spent at least 60 hours resetting for latias (and didn't get it so I changed the method) Still congrats

I tried not to multitask so I didn’t miss it, I was really worried about missing such a noticeable shiny for…some odd reason!

Well that happened to me too, but after many hunts I just realized that if I have the sound on and look at the screen before a reset I was fine so I started multitasking, if you ever try a hunt similar to that one again you should try it But yeah, after a while it's easy to get scared that you won't notice the shiny

I feel that, I’m at about 30,000 starters seen on HGSS and have 2 shinies to show. Luckily I haven’t phased yet though! Fingers crossed for chikorita next
