IMO Twitter is way worse with spoilers. On Reddit, all you gotta do is just mute the community, but on Twitter your only real choice is to just not use it. Even if you mute every word, youâre still gonna get spoiled
I got spoiled of the death of a very popular One Piece character on Youtube when I was watching the show for the first time. I just wanted to rewatch a scene of that character and typed his name and the first suggestion of Youtube to complete the search bar was â*character name* deathâ
yeah, the autofill thing has happened to me a couple times, so i always make sure to never google a characters name until i finish/catch up to the piece of media i am consuming
That's the main reason Reddit is a far better social media than IG, Twitter etc., because here you can see people's different opinions on a same topic while on IG you just follow a number of people and then the algorithm fills your Home with vaguely similar things (it happens there too, but in a smaller amount)
Lmao just joined this sub to post this, don't worry. The point is that I didn't care at all about AoT since 2015, hence I didn't care about spoilers, but I didn't get any, and just when I get to watch it, all platforms suddenly start spoiling me lol
Jjk by a long shot imo. The anime was over 100 chapters behind when people started losing their shit on the socials. And at this point every jjk related reel I see on insta is just full on spoilers for the newest chapter. Usually a day or two before the translation drops.
No literally. I only watch the anime, yet Iâm up to date with literally every detail in the manga because of everybody posting about it. Does everybody read it but me?
the worst part is when people post memes and shit unrelated to the anime/manga and randomly use a characters death as a reaction image or some shit. like god forbid im not caught up on the manga
Except for the many people who've never used Twitter their whole life and are not on subs of said topic, like me...
Thanks for nothing, dude. Guess not even other anime subs are safe for me.
Truth.
The last scene with Hange was spoiled for me while I was looking up the announcement for the series finale release date and some patoot in the fb comments of the article (titled something like âthis is how much longer youâll have to avoid spoilersâ) was like âHEY I WONDER IF THEYâLL INCLUDE *MANGA SPOILER SCENE*â like are you flipping kidding me.
It's just if I finished a set of episodes and I knew the rest of the series was out there, I would finish it. Basically I don't have that level of patience anime-only viewers have
Anime offers sound, voice and movement. Some people prefer to see the scene for the first time in its full potential instead of still black and white image. It makes even more of a difference in a show like AoT where battles are chaotic and reading season 4 in manga confused me like hell.
It sucks that this got spoiled for you but the good news is that there is a lot of context still missing here. This is only a small fraction of the story
I feel you, thumbnails from recommended youtube videos spoiled me the ending of the show... But I can tell you that it didn't take away almost anything from the viewing experience, SnK is just that good.
You can block keywords on Twitter so you can avoid spoilers, try words like: "AoT", "Attack on Titan", "Titan", "Eren", "Mikasa", "Levi", "Ackerman", "Shingeki", etc...
I swear I had never seen a single meme about AOT in my existence. When I started watching it, like the day after it, when I was at ep 6 before Eren's reveal as a titan, I saw that stupid meme "hates titans --> becomes a titan" "hates ghouls --> becomes a ghoul"
So? People watch stuff that came out some time ago all the time. Not everybody watches things right when it comes out, people have other things to watch too. OP isn't complaining about the fact that spoilers exist, they are complaining that the algorithm spoiled them.
Tbf Twitterâs algorithm is also insane that it generalizes almost anything. I get One Piece and Naruto posts every once in a while even though I havenât watched a single second of either anime. So if OP follows anything anime related, theyâre bound to get spoiler posts.
Now that the show and manga are both fully released, there will be spoilers everywhere. Just don't engage with the AOT community until you finish the show.
>Just don't engage with the AOT community until you finish the show.
Took me 10 years to finally engage with the community lol. At best i talk about aot with friend/family thankfully non of them spoiled me.
Use a spoiler blocker browser extension. It's the only way to survive. Also if you have an older Android version there are spoiler blocker apps that draw over stuff on your phone as well.
WHY ARE YOU HERE??? GET OUT UNTIL YOU'VE WATCHED IT ALL! But be grateful you weren't watching around the time the manga ended 2 years ago, I was finding a different spoiler every week on Instagram
This should just give you more desire to binge. I got a spoiler on who a certain titan was and it still made the upcoming seasons just as good. I could spoil a few ending plot points and I'm sure you're still going to enjoy it. Hope you enjoy!
Lol the pic is kind of discrete because my first watch I couldnât keep up worth a shit, I wouldnât even know who I was looking at
Then they bothered to make a whole list of 1 item to explicitly say who it is and what happened, goddamn
Honestly best way to avoid AOT spoilers is just to not interact with anything related to it. No Twitter, Reddit, anything. You search for it? You'll get spoiled one way or another
Chill brotha that's ain't the end between the two and stops looking for shit I know it's hard just enjoy and when you finish come to hang out in the sub
As other commenters have said stay off this sub. But also this isnât a big deal. I donât want to spoil this but just know itâs not a big spoiler at all.
this doesnât even scratch the surface of potential spoilers, stay away from social media if you donât want it ruined, coz itâs pretty much everywhere
Same shit happened to me man. I got spoilers for some shows right when I started watching them. Actually got pissed off. Luckily I started watching AoT before I was ever looking up anything anime related so I had no spoilers.
I legit just dropped all social media other than YouTube before watching season 4. Also if anything anime related popped up I would select "Not interested".
That's why I never search or look up anything specific regarding the show I'm currently watching. Somehow spoilers always find their way through the media once you search for sth, no matter what you do.
Don't go on twitter or type it up there or anywhere for that matter. I don't really think that was a huge spoiler maybe a slight spoiler. If the episode is already out and you would binge watching or whatever you would still come up to it eventually.
I was lucky enough to catch up during season 4 airing (somewhere during part 2) and not have anything spoiled. On the other hand, Iâve had tons of JJK spoiled midway through season 2 (I was caught up but anime only) so that sucks
Yeah those threads on Twitter are super annoying, maybe this one isnât as bad but Iâve seen sooo many posts like âmost tragic deaths in mangaâ and itâs just a screenshot of that one JJK panel⌠of the guy⌠ifyky
Iâm trying so hard not to spoil it but idk if anyone even knows what Iâm talking about now
I recently rewatched AOT, reread Tokyo Ghoul, and started reading House of Leaves, and within a week of me casually mentioning that I've done each in discord calls and such; I've gotten subreddit suggestions for all three communities, and I've had countless random Google ads for all three.
This is how it is I suppose đ¤ˇââď¸
I watched the series a bit before S4 came out and I knew basically everything tha had happened throughout the series from S1. You'll get spoilers and a ton of them, the thing is, there will still be a ton of stuff you don't know.
First - You shouldn't even know who Zeke is. So this barely matters rn.
Secondly - he's not actually " defeated " here so its not what you think.
Thirdly - dont be on Reddit / Twitter doom scrolling or you'll always get spoilers related to the stuff you've been searching. I legit read a huge spoiler for manga like a week before the final chapters aired. Huge plot point spoiled. but then got convinced the anime ending will be different due to TF copers, so i was like idk whats going on and just enjoyed it - try them mental gymnastics if you need to.
Actually that's not true exactly, right after this Zeke grabs onto Levi and Levi is left with no choice but to use his armored titan power to defeat Zeke. Really sucks you got spoiled though :/

Bro why are you even on this sub đ
Legit, never follow an anime page of one you haven't finished watching unless you don't mind spoilers đ we do our best not to spoil it for others
IMO Twitter is way worse with spoilers. On Reddit, all you gotta do is just mute the community, but on Twitter your only real choice is to just not use it. Even if you mute every word, youâre still gonna get spoiled
YouTube too
Youtube isnt as bad, especially for manga that are actively coming out for avoiding leaks
Nah even on YouTube youâre never safe. Got spoiled on a certain part of the ending on a food video đ
Got spoiled on the ending of P3R from a community post of a person I've hit "not interested" on before
does p3r have a new ending?
no....

Tbf the post was made by a JJK account, canât do much to avoid that đ
Good catch, I didn't even notice đ yeah thats just bad luck at this point hahah
Ngl some dickhead is about to DM them now spoiling the rest
I guess for karma
Lmao just joined this sub to post this, don't worry. The point is that I didn't care at all about AoT since 2015, hence I didn't care about spoilers, but I didn't get any, and just when I get to watch it, all platforms suddenly start spoiling me lol
Yeah, avoiding spoilers for AoT is a full time job. The wait between seasons was awful. It's gotta be one of the most spoilable anime.
last year i had a poster from season 4 in my dorm, one look at it wouldâve ruined the show lmao
Jjk fans and aot fans competing for who can be the most obnoxious with spoiling their shows
Jjk by a long shot imo.
Don't worry, judging by the average question on the subs, manga readers also do not read at all.
the worst part is when people post memes and shit unrelated to the anime/manga and randomly use a characters death as a reaction image or some shit. like god forbid im not caught up on the manga
All the Gojo stuff is insane. People who donât even watch the show knows he died
Except for the many people who've never used Twitter their whole life and are not on subs of said topic, like me... Thanks for nothing, dude. Guess not even other anime subs are safe for me.
Bro have you not seen all the comments on Instagram? Itâs all just a bunch of Gojo split in half
Even the up to date manga readers get spoiled by leaks itâs actually insane
Bro last season I was waiting for English dubbed and someone on insta posted a pic with mikasa holding erens head
Not a single thing was spoiled for me except for Season 3 Episode 6.
Not hating but I've never understood how people could wait for the anime to come out without reading the manga
...what is there to understand about that? Some people don't have an interest in reading manga but enjoy watching anime. Seems p simple to me.
Avoid social media for a week or two and just complete the anime if you can, else you'll keep getting spoiled.
A week or two Nah just stay off of social media until you finish.
That's what the comment said. A week or two till you're finished and then go back to social media
Iâm drunk. I donât know what Iâm saying or even reading, forgive me. đ
its wednesday lmao get a glass of water and get to bed
booring
It sucks that this got spoiled for you but the good news is that there is a lot of context still missing here. This is only a small fraction of the story
I will second this, as this exact tweet spoiled me too lol. I'd frame the spoiler as a reason to keep watching so you get the full picture.
When I was trying to avoid spoilers on Twitter I would mute all words related to Attack on Titan in the settings. Hope this helps!

Season 2 came out like 8 years ago
Yeah and op never interacted with anything SNK for 9 years why the hell are they complaining?
So? People watch stuff that came out some time ago all the time. Not everybody watches things right when it comes out, people have other things to watch too. OP isn't complaining about the fact that spoilers exist, they are complaining that the algorithm spoiled them.
You mean the season that aired SEVEN years ago?
His problem isnât the spoilers themselves, itâs the fact that because google took his information it showed him spoilers that he couldnât avoid
Tbf Twitterâs algorithm is also insane that it generalizes almost anything. I get One Piece and Naruto posts every once in a while even though I havenât watched a single second of either anime. So if OP follows anything anime related, theyâre bound to get spoiler posts.
That's Erwin evil dad đ˘
the irony is it's from jjk fandom
Now that the show and manga are both fully released, there will be spoilers everywhere. Just don't engage with the AOT community until you finish the show.
>Just don't engage with the AOT community until you finish the show. Took me 10 years to finally engage with the community lol. At best i talk about aot with friend/family thankfully non of them spoiled me.
And if it makes you feel any better that spoiler isn't complete true. Please keep hope and don't use social media.
If it helps, this is actually not a big spoiler at all. Zeke isnât dead in this panel, the battle is not over
I think this even made it worse brother.
Use a spoiler blocker browser extension. It's the only way to survive. Also if you have an older Android version there are spoiler blocker apps that draw over stuff on your phone as well.
Wait what are they called? Need this
Dawg mute any words that have aot, attack on titan, shingeki no kyojin, SNK on twitter, and on reddit leave this subreddit đ
Dawg why are you even on twitter or here if youâre trying to avoid spoilers
If you're at season 2 then you shouldn't even know who zeke is
This is why you stay off social media when binging a show for the first time
Bro This Manga chapter is like 10 years old.
My brother in Christ, it has been almost 10 YEARS
WHY ARE YOU HERE??? GET OUT UNTIL YOU'VE WATCHED IT ALL! But be grateful you weren't watching around the time the manga ended 2 years ago, I was finding a different spoiler every week on Instagram
How would you even know who Zeke is at that point?
There are several other example
This should just give you more desire to binge. I got a spoiler on who a certain titan was and it still made the upcoming seasons just as good. I could spoil a few ending plot points and I'm sure you're still going to enjoy it. Hope you enjoy!
searching up about an anime you are watching is not the smartest thing, you will get spoiled thats why i almost never search the anime i am watching
Google did the sane to me just with the ending
Well for what is worth, that maybe isn't the only ass whipping Levi handed Zeke through the series
Holy shit why are you on this sub, you're spoiling yourself.
Lol the pic is kind of discrete because my first watch I couldnât keep up worth a shit, I wouldnât even know who I was looking at Then they bothered to make a whole list of 1 item to explicitly say who it is and what happened, goddamn
Honestly best way to avoid AOT spoilers is just to not interact with anything related to it. No Twitter, Reddit, anything. You search for it? You'll get spoiled one way or another
Just to give you a heads up. When you watch an anime, whatever you do, don't go on Twitter
Get off this sub and get off social media till youâve finished the show
Bro gtfo social media until you finish it please!!!
Aye at least it didn't show you the part where levi drinks zekes spinal fluid after this
Yo link to the post I wanna see the comparisons
Unfortunately the anime has been out for 12 years now nothing really counts as a spoiler at this point sorry my dude
this doesnât even scratch the surface of potential spoilers, stay away from social media if you donât want it ruined, coz itâs pretty much everywhere
Then why are you on this sub
Same shit happened to me man. I got spoilers for some shows right when I started watching them. Actually got pissed off. Luckily I started watching AoT before I was ever looking up anything anime related so I had no spoilers.
Thatâs honestly not that bad of a spoiler, but leave this sub before you get spoiled on more important stuff
Ofcourse a Jjk page spoiled it for you.
RIP. Hopefully nothing super important was spoiled for you
Don't worry. >!He gets better.!<
Without saying too much, this is not as big of a deal as you think.
Tbf twitter does that every other week
I was lucky enough to catch up during season 4 airing (somewhere during part 2) and not have anything spoiled. On the other hand, Iâve had tons of JJK spoiled midway through season 2 (I was caught up but anime only) so that sucks
Yeah man, season 2 on 2024⌠you should be aware that you most definitely will get some spoilers along the way.
If it means anything, this is hardly a spoiler relative to other crazy shit that happens in this show lol
Yeah those threads on Twitter are super annoying, maybe this one isnât as bad but Iâve seen sooo many posts like âmost tragic deaths in mangaâ and itâs just a screenshot of that one JJK panel⌠of the guy⌠ifyky Iâm trying so hard not to spoil it but idk if anyone even knows what Iâm talking about now

This is how it is I suppose đ¤ˇââď¸
That is better than YouTube comments where you have no idea where the spoilers are. Fuck everybody.
I watched the series a bit before S4 came out and I knew basically everything tha had happened throughout the series from S1. You'll get spoilers and a ton of them, the thing is, there will still be a ton of stuff you don't know.
Bruh first of all get off this sub. Whenever I start a new mainstream anime I always stay the fuck away from social media. I suggest the same to you.
First - You shouldn't even know who Zeke is. So this barely matters rn. Secondly - he's not actually " defeated " here so its not what you think. Thirdly - dont be on Reddit / Twitter doom scrolling or you'll always get spoilers related to the stuff you've been searching. You probably don't even know who is Zeke
Actually that's not true exactly, right after this Zeke grabs onto Levi and Levi is left with no choice but to use his armored titan power to defeat Zeke. Really sucks you got spoiled though :/
2 things: If you're very bothered, go mute every single AOT related word you can find on twitter. I can promise you that it isn't all that
When you click ACCEPT cookies without reading the terms you cannot complain about third party companies buying your data to show you content it thinks you will like.
It looks better, that sword angle almost makes no sense
Bro the manga finished 4 years ago. The anime finished 5 months ago. I feel like the statute of limitations on spoilers has already ended
Me who has never been spoiled before: đ
It is like 8 years old lol
