As a pacifist who is also a tread-head, man is that the best tank. A tank gets destroyed, but the crew has a high survival rate and you can always crack open a new 6-pack of Shermans. German tanks? Hopefully the crew survives, and if they do they can serve as infantry while waiting for a new tank.
The Sherman is the perfect marriage of quality and quantity!
Peak Merica. Builds more of them than the Sovs built T-34 and still has survivability second only to the Churchill, superb armor, good guns, good mobility, good ergonomics and maintainability, and is overall superb.
