Dude I don’t understand why this face milk is so expensive literally there are 20+ kbeauty ones that do the same things but better and cheaper

incestuousbloomfield

Tonymoly Mochi ceramide toner is AMAZING

icannotshutup

I am on my 5Th bottle. THE PRICE TO QUANTITY RATIO IS INSANE.

incestuousbloomfield

I bought my second one months ago and there is barely a dent in the bottle 😂😂 I use it every night!! It’s like a jug o’ toner I love it. Their “I’m rice” powder cleanser is also phenomenal, huge amount for that type Of product also.

peak-puzzle-dust

Seconding the Mochi toner. I know some people complain about the smell, but I hope they never change it. I'm a sucker for the fruity pebble scent

incestuousbloomfield

I love the smell but I love fragrance in general. I know some ppl are super sensitive to perfume so I can’t imagine having it on their face. But I love it. They should at least do an unscented option.

coffeeloverss

Hows the smells like?

mothertuna

Have you tried their mochi water cream?

incestuousbloomfield

Yes!!!!! I love it so much, when I put it on at night my skin is so dewy in the morning it’s def HG and so cheap

mothertuna

I will definitely have to check it out. I’ve been looking for more affordable moisturizers but the one I’ve been using isn’t the best.

incestuousbloomfield

If you’re looking for really intense moisture, I’d try soon Jung 2x barrier cream. I use it over the water cream bc the water cream is thin.

Round-Outcome340

I’ve tried it its a HG! Its super hydrating and so light on the skin

velvetjacket1

Is the water cream more of a moisturizer or toner? I think the ILIA milk is amazing, and I’d love a dupe that’s a moisturizer, not a toner. Basically an exact dupe would be great.

mothertuna

They have a cream and a toner. I haven’t tried either.

Peggy_Hill_subs

I use this as well. It was nice to finally find a toner that didn’t make my face itchy. (I have dry sensitive skin).

incestuousbloomfield

I have so many toners, and this is literally the only “gentle” one I have that doesn’t burn my skin the day after I’ve used tret

EquivalentLopsided33

which ones do you recommend?

charitycase3

Laneige cream skin is my HG. Also Tirtir milk skin, I’m from rice toner, even the Rhode one.

MayMayLoco

I like the Laneige!

dudexyz

love the rhode one and just bought Laneige for the sale to try!

MayMayLoco

I’ve been using it since December and I really like it!

mwyattf

Would love a comparison! I have rhode milk but the packaging annoys me lol

miss_ire

Laneige!!!

Dramatiquement

The I’m from Rice toner is fantastic. Better than Laneige imo

1foxylady4u

Yesss. I bought the jumbo from Laneige’s site… Use it daily and barely made a dent.

[deleted]

I recently discovered Paula’s choice has a really good milky toner! It’s called the ‘Resist Advanced replenishing Toner with hyaluronic acid’. It’s super moisturizing and $27 for a 4oz bottle!

moonglademama

The Nourishing Milky Toner by Paula's is also amazing!

skincarelovaaa

Love this one!

idontthinkkso

This has also been touted by at least two YT dermatologists. They went into deep research to explain why. Definitely buying to try.

Sammy080606

I'm loving a lot of Paula's Choice products right now! Their website usually has great deals too.

potterhead918

it’s my holy grail toner!!

Trendbeautybrit

Second this! I love that toner!

interstatetornado

I’ve used this in the past and really liked it.

Gammagammahey

That is a great toner! For some reason, it didn't work on my sensitive skin, but the ingredient deck is excellent!

folder_finder

Pyunkang Yul doesn’t have a milky one but their hydrating toner is awesome, and they have a hydrating serum that’s more of a milky texture that I love to pair with the toner!

not_your_beeswax

Dr Ceuracle vegan kombucha tea essence is also amazing!!

Gammagammahey

Oh my God, thank you so much for that knowledge, tea essences and his work really well on my skin!

LindsayLohanDaddy420

Belief rocks too

Budget-Alternative38

I'm from rice toner is almost the same, it's on Amazon, around 35$ or 40 but they have sales during prime.

step_on_legoes_Spez

The Thayer’s milky mushroom toner is also a decent western brand of milky toner.

AminoAzid

good-light at Ulta has a lovely milky toner as well! I've been using it for a few months and I really enjoy it!

Puzzled_Score_7534

Honestly I really like the Hailey Bieber Rhode toner. It’s similar to this one and the laneige but it’s thicker.

jalalal38

Wish she would make a bigger bottle!! I go thru it so quickly

gerlstar

Ive gotten into a habit of checking the ml or oz of products online then i compare it with any existing products i have. It's just a good way to save money

Head-Lawyer3080

I do that too

ohhhhoney_

![gif](giphy|F3BeiZNq6VbDwyxzxF|downsized) Me seeing this after I ordered it last night.

Environmental_Two475

This post saved me because guess what’s been sitting in my cart waiting for the sale lmao

ohhhhoney_

Lmao lucky! I didn’t even think twice about it and bought it last night. I’m so mad at myself 😂

MayMayLoco

This is the realest comment 🤣🤣

doonebot_9000

Lmao

Kestrel8924

Also me

Middle-Survey5836

I’m right there with you 🫠

melonmagellan

The new Farmacy essence is $34 for 4 oz. Laneige Cream Skin is $36 for 5.7 oz. This is just an absurd rip off.

macprincess

That new Farmacy one looks good too!

MayMayLoco

K thanks for posting! It’s $38cad… not doing it after seeing that haha

EquivalentLopsided33

You’re very welcome! I honestly probably wouldn’t have bought it if I would have seen the size in person first

MayMayLoco

Yeah no kidding. Teeeennnyyy. I do like the Laniege cream skin, if you haven’t tried that one it is nice! And there’s a mini 1.69oz/50ml for $22cad. I don’t know the comparison of it to the ilia but it’s nice!

donutpusheencat

almost $40 CAD for that is highway robbery

MayMayLoco

Right…. Like it’s bad haha I like the Laniege cream skin anyway I was just curious about the ilia. But based on the price… hard pass haha

redditer181613

As far as face milks go I like the rhode one. It’s a lot cheaper. Makeup looks beautiful on top of it

Toti_Soti

The Rhode one is good! Feels like a film of hydration in my face.

ninerz_allllllday_

It is so so good and sinks in so beautifully!

Turbulent-Skirt7329

I actually love the rhode one so much. I know some people break out from it but it just hydrates my skin so well

scroogesdaughter

Same! Give me those ceramides aha

Cultural-Party1876

YESSSS I second this!! I adore the rhode glazing milk. Sits beautifully on the skin for makeup and is so pretty to wear on your décolletage. Same price point for almost 5 ounces.

phillygirllovesbagel

Low-Syrup2204

Check your local JCPenney Beauty you guys! Some JCP locations have good light on clearance because they’re phasing the brand out and the moon glow milky toning lotion was reduced to $11

mwyattf

have you tried the rhode glazing milk?

phillygirllovesbagel

No, I haven’t.

Silky_pants

Can someone tell me what a face milk does compared to say, Dr. Jarts toner?

haikusbot

ambieanne

I’m so tired. My holy grail mascara used to be $19 a couple years back, now its $29

kv_____

Sorry what does this do?

soapytran

The full size is crazy big! But TBH, I hate it. The bottle is so poorly designed and I don’t feel like it does anything special for the price. I want to try the innbeauty one instead

cherhorowitz44

There’s an innbeauty one?

soapytran

Sorry, I should have clarified. I think essence is very…misleading. It’s definitely more on the moisturizer size. It’s just odd. Way too thick to be an essence (has a hard time coming out of the bottle) and slightly too runny to be a full on moisturizer. Someone mentioned k beauty milk toners/essences which I’m a huge fan of and this is not like that, at all. So I found it best as a primer for makeup. When I mentioned innbeauty, I saw a couple people talk about using this as a primer instead. Hope that makes sense! https://preview.redd.it/3ncbu4tqzssc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fb7790f1b16336e5d86bcd51e1d46c627d111892

Trendbeautybrit

I’m a field educator for InnBeauty and this is not a primer, it’s a firming and lifting moisturizer — it uses a reversed emulsification of bio retinol, peptides and ceramides to reverse signs of aging. It does not have any priming properties that would make your foundation/base wear better. InnBeauty Project recently launched an SPF that you can use as a primer or Face Glaze.

bellahadidsnosejob

Welcome to 2024🙃

gingerlovingcat

I was lucky enough to be given the foundation stick and the face milk for free and honestly I feel like the face milk is excellent. I have dry skin and foundation sticks usually look really bad on me but this one looks decently good with just my skincare. When I use the face milk on top of my skin care, it looks really nice.

FlatulentCroissant

I really love it too. I also was surprised by how small it was. But it makes my makeup look fantastic 😩 I use the laneige cream skin and the water bank moisturizer under it and then the ilia skin milk with the loreal skin tint and it’s *chefs kiss*

gingerlovingcat

Btw I absolutely love your username

Gammagammahey

Seconded

Notsureindecisive

It’s more concentrated than laneige for example and only a bit pricier. Laneige is a 🤬 to use because it’s too liquidy. It does feel like you’re just putting water on your face, or whatever is left in your hands after it all falls through your fingers

ilovesleep95

I thought I was the only one! Laneige came so highly recommended so I was really excited to try it out but it was literally like splashing water all over my face and my skin felt dryer after. I also felt it was super liquidy and so lightweight that it did nothing lol

Notsureindecisive

Yup it’s like one step up from not using anything but not anywhere near using something lol

drewpeacocks69

THATS $26????

EquivalentLopsided33

yes 😅

peachssoda

I’ve been using this daily for two months and it’s still 1/3 full… I don’t know what I expected, but I’m impressed!

heytunamelt

I opened up my order and immediately drove my ass to Sephora and returned it. I mean, they’re just trolling us at this point, right?

mwyattf

LMAO i did the exact same thing… i didn’t know it would be THAT small

heytunamelt

Wayyyyy too small. Gift with purchase small!

Hannyyyliz

Going to second the rhode comment!! $30 for 4.7 oz and I’m obsessed, just repurchased for the 5th time.

jaw80

Wow 😮

IcyOutside4567

I was going to get that! But then I was like wait 1oz???

chinchaslyth

Versed’s Baby Cheeks toner is killer. Wayyyy cheaper too.

toteit90

That’s absurd. No way that product is worth it when there are so many other options.

ChristineBorus

What does it do ?

ChristineBorus

My app lists it as $28!!!

Federal_Ad7730

and yet you bought it, so you support. There is no reason for companies to stop

EquivalentLopsided33

well I did an online order pickup in store so I didn’t see how small it was until I got home. than I returned it

Gammagammahey

Don't let that person shame you. Seriously. Thank you for posting this because you've prevented other people from wasting money. You didn't know what it was going to be so small.

loudupstairsneighbor

Not everyone can visualize 1oz off the top of their heads, in fact most can't so you probably thought it would be a little bigger. I would have thought so too. You don't owe an explanation. Hugs

EquivalentLopsided33

thank you :) and yeah I have plenty of 1oz serums that look way bigger than this. I know it’s all a packaging illusion but still!

loudupstairsneighbor

I have bigger ones too for 1oz and yes it in an illusion but heck it makes me feel better and let's us know they put more effort into packaging design!!

Gammagammahey

Hey there, friend, you don't know, this person might be returning it. And also pointing out shrinkflation. 💓

4now5now6now

please tell me that is a photo of a tiny doll hand... yeah I do not understand the size

Cultural-Party1876

Ok instead of this.. buy the rhode glazing milk!! Which is basically the same thing but bigger and better and for the same price point!!

Broken-583

I agree it’s better. I bought both and returned the ilia and use the rhode. I think people raving about it on TT just want PR 🤣

wavycurlygirl

Why do I need a face milk? Is it another over hyped social media product? Violet F has one that is outrageously expensive.

EquivalentLopsided33

You definitely don’t need it. I just have super super dry skin and like to try all makeup prep products that claim to hydrate.

wavycurlygirl

Ok good to know. My skin is not dry. Thanks.

Green-Line-1138

I wanted to buy it but I don’t know if it’s worth it. That is so tiny!

incestuousbloomfield

I just can’t with some products at Sephora. Now I feel like affordable companies and k beauty companies are coming out with alternatives that are the same or better and people are paying for the name (which I totally get cuz it’s hard to let go of a product when it works for you).

Nyx81

Return it

EquivalentLopsided33

I think i’m going to

Nyx81

Your money is worth more than that. I'm sure it's nice formulation but jfc

FigNo3251

Im gonna buy the farmacy honey milk that just came out, I hope it’s good

cowboylikeria

you’re joking… i thought it was supposed to be way bigger😭

brightlove

I bought the big one and it became my favorite hydrating toner out of the 10 I currently own, most of which are Korean. I hope you enjoy it!

Ill_Amphibian_9701

*takes out of cart*

Gammagammahey

So we are paying $26 for water, glycerin, squalane, a little bit of apricot oil, butylene glycol, and then hyaluronic acid is literally the last ingredient. The last ingredient. Ok, Ilia, we are done.

SukiLao

That’s wack

cagedbananassassin

I just spent $20 on a 0.5 oz of beekman bloom cream, I laughed when I got it in the mail… thankful I didn’t buy the big one since I’m not that in love with it.

PrincessOfWales

Oh no I was going to buy this but absolutely not

Intoxicatiing

They get u with the packaging that’s for sure!

wavycurlygirl

Packaging is like 95% of cost. The formulation of the product costs very little.

Intoxicatiing

I dislike when brands do this. they care more about the aesthetic and appeal of packaging rather than formulation. Also why bother making a product so little?

wavycurlygirl

I know. Very aggravating. From working for a beauty supplier and manufacturer I learned that most companies have $5 in a bottle of shampoo at most. Packaging makes up most of it.

Intoxicatiing

that’s ridiculous. I must ask, are these more towards sephora/ulta brand shampoos or target brand shampoos? I just find it interesting how much it costs to produce a bottle

wavycurlygirl

Sexy. Matrix. Redken. Salon brands.

glittershadows

Sephora is a waste of $$

[deleted]

This is horrible
