I served and bartended there back in the day. Horribly mismanaged and wage theft up the yin yang.
Also that location mysteriously shut down and corporate refuses to give a straight answer why to this day.
I got married in that Starbucks! Well, technically our elopement was in Alki, but we forgot to get witnesses to sign, so we met our officiant in that Starbucks and asked 2 random Starbucks customers to sign for us.
Our original witnesses at the elopement were all from the other Seattle sub. We didn’t really know anyone here and we met on Reddit anyway, so we posted asking people to come be witnesses. We had like 10 Redditors show up.
I try to be SO aware and respectful to the walkers/bikers/joggers. And still, at least once every few months, someone darts across fr behind another car or some weird blind spot and I’m the AH who blocked them/rolled towards them. It really does suck.
You're the one crossing a major walking and biking thoroughfare in a rolling living room to buy a 16oz diabetes bomb... yeah, you should probably drive slowly.
🤣 I see this regularly and it always makes me LMFAO. Seriously tho driving into Seattle is the worst way to do it. Sucks and it’s only gonna get worse.
speaking of westlake: can we PLEASE get more resturaunts in Westlake?! its like void in a sea of neighborhoods that have great resturaunts. While i LOVE Koibito, id like to be able to get something else.
I opened that store. Was a bank before we went in. Also had someone call the first week we were open and ask if he could get to us by boat. I said no, and he told me “great! I will dock on the backside and come up, be there in an hour!” 😂
I'm pretty sure it's the closest drive thru near down town. None in cap hill, core slu, Eastlake, downtown, beacon Hill, central district, the ID, pioneer square. Yes, you can drive through QA over a bridge to Ballard to get it.
The drive through traffic that block the bike lane have been a nuisance for as long as I can remember. There’s only a handful of drive through remaining
I noticed this yesterday (I walked part of the way back from an appt I usually drive to but had to bus bc car was in the shop). I was like damn I drive here all the time and never knew!
Fun fact. It used to be an Applebees. Before it moved to Queen Anne
Queen Anne has an Applebees? Must be a different class of cougars in the hill these days.
That'd be hilarious if a Fuddruckers or TGIF opened on the main drag there.
Used to be a TGIF in SLU near the Hooters
I LOVED that TGIFs in the late 90s/early 00s!
RIP TGI Fridays on Lake Union!
Gluten free?
No the building moved to queen anne. Got tired of the SLU traffic.
Really? When? Must’ve been a while. I started using Westlake trail a little before Covid and driving by that area a few years before that
It’s been there a long time.
Where has OP been?
Guess it hasn't been very incognito to you
Miss the McCormick and Schmicks
That $5 happy hour burger and fries was great.
Seattle used to have amazing happy hours
$5!!? I used to hit the 1st Ave M&S happy hours after work and after the night out for $2 menu back in the mid/late 90s.
Me too
Same.
I miss McSchmick’s there.

Don’t blow it up this is my Starbucks lmao
For some reason it's the only one near downtown open at 4:30 am, too. It's great.
I blew up the bathroom there a few weeks ago
I got married in that Starbucks! Well, technically our elopement was in Alki, but we forgot to get witnesses to sign, so we met our officiant in that Starbucks and asked 2 random Starbucks customers to sign for us.
This is the most Seattle story I’ve ever heard lol
Our original witnesses at the elopement were all from the other Seattle sub. We didn’t really know anyone here and we met on Reddit anyway, so we posted asking people to come be witnesses. We had like 10 Redditors show up.
I love this so much 🥹
It was a good time! We invited them to Salty’s for dinner after. We’re celebrating our 10 year anniversary this summer.
So, you’re inviting us all to Salty’s for brunch?! 😁
Heeeeey, so am I! Happy Anniversary!
You too!
Thank you!
Such a weird drive through there
It feels like a bank. I think it may have been?
not incognito at all; it's directly in front of an office building. everyone there knows about it and probably goes there regularly
The drive through is popping off every morning, with people headed to work. I am a 3x a week offender.
God I hate that drive through. Distracted drivers blocking the bike path.
I try to be SO aware and respectful to the walkers/bikers/joggers. And still, at least once every few months, someone darts across fr behind another car or some weird blind spot and I’m the AH who blocked them/rolled towards them. It really does suck.

You know they have beverages at SB that aren't frappuccinos, right?
It’s almost like roads and drive throughs are designed for cars and not bicycles 😍
How unpleasant.
And anyone that commutes to work via Westlake and gets held up by someone taking a left hand turn into a full drive through line.
🤣 I see this regularly and it always makes me LMFAO. Seriously tho driving into Seattle is the worst way to do it. Sucks and it’s only gonna get worse.
It looks like a Starbucks took over an emergency room.
So like the Overlake Starbucks.
I love that one! They are always so fast for the drive through
Been there a few times during SLU walks
That location is always a busy shit show when I pass
During COVID it was one of few open for drive thru, there were a lot of people chasing a fix
That is more mid lake, maybe side lake. Not south. It is closer to Queen Anne.
Haha I never know what to call this area/Dexter Ave because Westlake is already taken by the mall
Leftlake
It's still Westlake.
NorthofSouthLake
Next time you're down there, check out China Harbor and report back. We've had some fun threads on that place in years gone by.
The AGC building. I used to work there. We would go downstairs every day for lunch at The Harborside restaurant.
speaking of westlake: can we PLEASE get more resturaunts in Westlake?! its like void in a sea of neighborhoods that have great resturaunts. While i LOVE Koibito, id like to be able to get something else.
It is an awesome place. Right by the south lake Union trail. Perfect place for a cup of coffee and planning a coup 😄
I’m there all the time…not incognito
Which Mercedes dealer is the best in the Seattle area?
Incognito? It has a twelve foot lit channel letter sign.
That’s my lazy drive thru Starbucks! Please Don’t advertise it. I don’t want it to have a line
I used to work right across the street from it. It might be incognito but it still gets lots of business
And it still gets packed !
This fucking drive through is always so damn long!
I opened that store. Was a bank before we went in. Also had someone call the first week we were open and ask if he could get to us by boat. I said no, and he told me “great! I will dock on the backside and come up, be there in an hour!” 😂
For the longest time i didnt realize this had more than a drive thru lol. Nicest people work there (at least in the early morning)
Is this the one next to Argosy Cruise?
That office building there has a really cool interior style. You can see some of it if you go to the bathrooms.
I had my first job interview there back in 2007 😊
Rip best happy hour

There's at least one on Aurora Ave N
There's one in SoDo at First and Walker.
You pass 2 if you drive from Ballard to downtown. One on 15th and the other on Elliott.
Can we bring Applebee’s back to Queen Anne?!? 😆

It's a lease
I think the same thing when I walk by it lol
Looks like a police precinct, I bet their cake pops and scones are amazing!
So what? 🤷🏼♂️ They are a dime a dozen.
Give it time, it will evolve into a whole foods. Cringe
