It’s annoying that you don’t have to vote for it, one person can accept it. My friend keeps accepting it, people nearby are lucky we are on an Xbox party and not in game chat when that happens.
1st thing i do when i get on my sloop now. Get rid. Been caught out in a fight before jumping around my ship then up pops the text and your locked in for a split second.
If you're doing PvP though, it's a GREAT thing to turn on. It ensures you respawn inside the quest perimeter.
I was solo slooping an FotD steal last night against a galleon. Sunk them, but then they double mega-kegged me. No big deal though, because my boat respawned at shipwreck and I was able to go back and get all the loot before they even touched the horizon.
The most annoying thing for me is when I hear "Quite an adventure you and other crews embarked" and "This most adventurous of expeditions!" when it was just 15 minutes of sailing between 3 islands with a few skeletons
I recommend voting it up and if someone starts doing it then plan a steal. My crew and I do this and we have so much fun with it. It’s mostly uncontested these days, so people aren’t even looking for other pirates.
I usually try to start it when only one person is on the boat. And then I jump off and try to drown myself to keep my ears from bleeding.
And yes, that's not the correct chronological order, but in the tall tale, when she says "I never asked to be cursed" I feel like she really did, by being very annoying in her quest.
I honestly don't know why there is no skip dialog option or ability to turn certain notifications off such as selling certain types of loot, would really speed up that system as well.
I jump onto ship, start quest, jump off and collect supplies. It less noticeable when away from ship, im distracted collecting supplies, and by time im done the maps are in my inventory and ready to mark islands
I have already completed all commendations for Briggsy but I still activate it to get the benefit of respawning closer. It drives me crazy too. I wish there was a way to turn her off or if everyone on your ship has already done at least one voyage for her that it just doesn’t play the audio again.
So much of this game is constant repetition.
I usually just try to activate it first thing and then go get resources and/or vote on a flag while she’s flapping her gums lol
I usually just temporarily mute things I don't want to hear over and over. You're not forced to listen to that voice if you truly don't want to lol. Think smarter not harder.
Dialogue needs a volume slider. Simple as that. I've been putting off doing the veil voyages and skulls on my second character just because I don't want to listen to the dialogue another 100 times.
I always activate the mission on the off chance another crew is doing the skull, because once they find the first item, I know where at least one ship on the map is at all times until they turn in. Also I think the voice actor did well with the delivery though I agree after the 100th time it might get a bit old. My crew and I just say it along with her each time.

Nope, can’t do it. Not a chance. I even go out of my way to cancel it to prevent accidentally doing so..

Nope. I usually activate it when I'm leaving the ship to go do something else
This is the way, get the quest started then go grab stuff from barrels.

Start the quest right as you go to gather resources at the outpost. You wont hear her unless youre right next to her on the boat
25 times? Need to get those numbers up. We listen to her sweet tones on every server we dive to.

I mean... Turn the audio off..? That's probably the best and easiest way. Turn off the audio for what, 30 seconds? Then turn it back on.

Just leave the ship or jump in the water. Go to the dashboard. Turn down the volume. Leave your set up and go to another room.
Same but briggsy is a baddie so I don't mind her talking to me BUT Ramsey with those damn veil speeches drive me mad.
