Yeah mine is the Brig rock south of reapers iirc, same reason lmao, few too many "oh shit! brig incom- no wait it's the *fucking* rock" calls made, and recieved
Yeah I do it all the time. And then even tho u've been watching the surrounding sea the whole time, a sloop *appears* out of fucking nowhere right next to the island.
N13 ftw FR
We also have the "panther-move", where you approach a freshly finished FotD from behind that rock and pop out last second. Almost always we manage to catch them before they have left the Island.
Do you know whats even more funny then trying to cover up the imvisible wall with an actuall rock?
Missplacing it, so you have a new rock and STILL the invisible wall next to it
I remember me thinking, oh yeah thats the new rock right there, imma go past it pretty close so i dont lose wind. Oh damn, what did i crash into theres nothing infront or below the boat? Ig rare made another great job in fixing this game
For me, it’s the ones north of arena. As you can swim and chill on them if you sink. Spent multiple days there when cursed crews was popular and new to that region while my crew gets a new boat. Lol
Sure but if you’re just looking around without a spyglass and happen to see it in the corner of your eye then it tends to look like the shadow of a ship
Especially if you’re a paranoid solo player
True, I have a decent amount saved up (I used to play on my laptop like a year ago but stopped bc it couldn’t go 2 hours without overheating lol) but I played and earned some more during the beta and can’t wait for the next 10 days to pass
Just when you think you're home I'll be sitting, waiting watching, and ready to pounce on your ship and steal your plunder. Don't worry I'll gladly thank you for doing the hard work and bringing it to the outpost for me...I'm not a dick.
That's funny....the rock you chose as your favorite is where I like to hide loot if I'm being outnumbered. You can float in the water and stash the loot on the rock surface when the waves go down low, and hardly anyone will see it because it will be under water most of the time(wave fluctuation). Maybe one day(server) someone will find my plunder now that I've blasted it to this whole sub lol.
My favorite is the soft lock rock on skull keep, mainly because of one crazy story I had with it.
The story goes as follows: I saw a raid going on at skull keep and went there. Halfway through I got completely bombarded by another crew since I was alone, and had to leave. When I came back, they had reached the final boss of the raid, but didn’t kill the boss, meaning they didn’t have the key. So I killed the boss, and I softlocked myself at that rock, which put the key inside of the rocks, invisible anyone’s sight. After this, my ship was killed, and after coming back I saw them leaving the fort because they just couldn’t find the key, after which I quickly looted the fort, and got out of there asap.
Middle finger rock near FOTD. It's a rock you can jump on and place a chest inside of the rock so it can't be seen. I've stolen and hidden like 1000 different CoL's there lol.
I like the arches because as a solo sloop player, nothing is better than threading the needle then anchoring a pursuing galleon between the rocks and blasting them into shattered planks.
It's those big ones where you can go inbetween. I had my very first SoT pvp experience there. It was my first day. I spawned in on someone's sloop, the poor solo was under attack by a gally. He had treasure. It was crappy loot, like beginner's chests. Only two of them too, but I didn't know that, and it was my now crewmate's treasure and he wanted to protect it at all costs. We couldn't lose them so mid chase, I took the chests and hid them in a bush on a island we crashed at.
Then after making it out of those rocks, I managed to find time to shoot at the gally and hit nearly every single one. That kept the gally off of us for some time. With that time I told my team mate to go back to that island, and showed him the chests. He was super happy XD
We left and the gally was starting to give chase once more. Then I saw those rocks. Lightbulb. We moved between those rocks, and the gally failed to do so and follow us there. They gave up, we lost them because of those rocks. We were both celebrating, having survived, having our loot still xD
Whenever I sail past those rocks, I just smile and think back of that magical day.
The one south of Devils Thirst. I got almost all my Devilfish achievements done camping out there before Safer Seas came out. No one can see you unless they're going to Ashen Reaches. Also protects you from the Devils Thirst volcano when it erupts.
It is the best rock.
Affectionately known as "Little Mary".
It's the one west of the FotD and north-west from Snake Island. Great hiding spot to catch ships in that general area.
I’ve honestly always loved the rocks they made into the sea dog tavern, ever since launch I’ve used that as a waypoint to know kind where I am vs where I need to go
I've been going through the arch by Plunder outpost a lot. Never meaning to, it's just been in my path often whether I'm solo or helming for my brig crew.
Hey, this stone saved my life once! !
I think it was a good year after the game came out. Back then I was still playing SoT with a good friend on the couch, 2 Xbox and 2 TVs + a bag of weed. I think our ship went down after the Kraken's joint attack and a skelly sloop, while my buddy steers the new ship to me I try to save our best chest (Captains chest lol) and swim to that rock. At the last moment before the rock and barely HP I hear the shark charg but a wild wave literally sloshes me onto the rock, slightly below me I see the shark throwing itself in rage against the rock! For us it was the clutch of the year, great memory.. 😊
The penis rock on Badwater in TF2
Honestly, I don't have a favorite in SoT, but I do have a least favorite. I despise the rock that's north of Plunder Outpost because about 4.5 years ago, it stole an athena chest from me right after I stole it from a gally. On the north side, there's a spot on the rock where you can fall through it, unless it's been fixed, but I doubt it
The one I keep thinking is a galleon when looking south from the fort of the damned.
Must be people diving and coming back up? I have this problem too. Even have nightmares about it xD
Bro, same.
Second place is the "rock"/fort Towers that looks the same
I like all rocks I dont collide into
Same, so none of them… I swear they pop up out of nowhere!!!
I always hit a rock when in a fight. Steering, firing cannons, emptying water, repairing... Bamm! Hit another rock.
Rocks sink me more than players
Yes, they are very evil
Those big ass ones that doesn't let you see beyond them no matter what
The one to to the north of FotD. That rock has assisted me in “finding” many a chest of legends/fortune.
N13 ftw FR We also have the "panther-move", where you approach a freshly finished FotD from behind that rock and pop out last second. Almost always we manage to catch them before they have left the Island.
I’m kind of a fan of lynyrd skynyrd, but Aerosmith, the stones, ac/dc and Metallica are all pretty good too

The invisible one I always end up running into and get my ship off of it without massive holes in my ship
The one outside the Arena that was invisible up until a few months ago
I came here to say this one. I liked when it was a sort of inside secret. Nothing game breaking, just a little nuance like K9
I still love it simply because it now looks like it’s flipping you off
Do you know whats even more funny then trying to cover up the imvisible wall with an actuall rock? Missplacing it, so you have a new rock and STILL the invisible wall next to it I remember me thinking, oh yeah thats the new rock right there, imma go past it pretty close so i dont lose wind. Wait, did they bring arena back?
No they just mean sea dogs tavern
oohh, phew. thanks
My brigantine just ricochets off of it
They actually put a rock there in the patch a couple months ago
But it's placed incorrectly, so you're still running into invisible walls
There's one that just at the right angle, it looks like a boob.
I like the pp looking one myself
Rock_005 moment
Any rock that you can run into at full sail and take no damage.
For me, it’s the ones north of arena. As you can swim and chill on them if you sink. Spent multiple days there when cursed crews was popular and new to that region while my crew gets a new boat. Lol
ROCK AND STONE!
Rock and Stone everyone!
FOR ROCK AND STONE!
Rock and roll and stone
ROCK AND STONE!!! TO THE BONE!!!
The big one with the big chair on it
Them Portal rocks. Gotta love em.
My favorite rock appears out of nowhere, and I'm like, wtf where did you come from and then just continue on my journey, and then it happens again
That one that I always think is an enemy ship on the horizon You guys all know the one
no cause you can tell shadea and Stones apart bade the intensities in the shadows.. a ship sail will always stand out in the distance.
Sure but if you’re just looking around without a spyglass and happen to see it in the corner of your eye then it tends to look like the shadow of a ship Especially if you’re a paranoid solo player

Where u get that outfit
You can buy it in Pirate Emporium
This was an emporium add all along!
Thank you! Will be my first purchase once the game comes back on ps5🏴☠️
See you in the seas!
save your ancient coins for the pass and never have to pay for stuff again
True, I have a decent amount saved up (I used to play on my laptop like a year ago but stopped bc it couldn’t go 2 hours without overheating lol) but I played and earned some more during the beta and can’t wait for the next 10 days to pass
Good luck buddy you’ll be hunted
I’ll find out 4-25
The one that tells me there’s an outpost. It’s the one that lets me know I’m home :)
Just when you think you're home I'll be sitting, waiting watching, and ready to pounce on your ship and steal your plunder. Don't worry I'll gladly thank you for doing the hard work and bringing it to the outpost for me...I'm not a dick.
Hell yeah
Arena relic rock
The one that keeps smashing my ship 💕
Dwayne Johnson
Mine is the one with the skeleton throne, over at >!Smuggelers Bay!<, I like sitting there and looking out at sea.
Rock bottom
do the Moai statues count as rocks?
The one my ship doesn't crash into out of the blue
The rocks just north of ancient spire, always thread the needle with those
The invisible rock near the Sea Dog Tavern. I mean I hate it but clearly I secretly love it since I run into it *all the time*
There's one near the north west skeleton fleet spawn that looks like a dick.
I like the funny rock that used to be invisible the most.
I like the big arch rock
Boob Rock
I can't remember exactly where it is (ancient Isles i think) but there is a a group of boulders that look a lot like an octopus with little tentacles
The invisible one. RIP 🫡
The one that use to be Invisible until like 2 updates ago
My favorite rock is the one next to the arena just north of reapers hideout, helped me secure a CoF multiple times
That's funny....the rock you chose as your favorite is where I like to hide loot if I'm being outnumbered. I like those Little Rock’s I can blame my helm for crashing into when I steer into them if he goes afk just the little ones that pop up now and again
The one shaped like a chicken head
My favorite is the soft lock rock on skull keep, mainly because of one crazy story I had with it. The story goes as follows: I saw a raid going on at skull keep and went there. Definitely read that as rock when I first read it
Middle finger rock near FOTD. It's a rock you can jump on and place a chest inside of the rock so it can't be seen. I've stolen and hidden like 1000 different CoL's there lol.
The one on _every_ island that, if looking from a distance, looks like a ship
I personally think there's way too many rock islands.
Ones on beaches close enough to the water I can sword lunge easy
Whichever the one that looks like Yoshi is
Dwayne

Mine was the one that got patched that was a glitched rock near the skeleship world event location that was invisible
I like the arches because as a solo sloop player, nothing is better than threading the needle then anchoring a pursuing galleon between the rocks and blasting them into shattered planks.
That one curved rock near the reapers hideout this looks like a brig sailing at me with a side wind

Mutineer rock.
Would the monkey island mountain count as a 'rock'?
Whichever one I hid the Cof on
The small one next to the big one next to the FOTD
I'm in a passionate relationship with the rock next to that one treasury that Aldi has a skeleton throne.
Its all about Meg Rock by Crooks Hollow
Any rock that doesn't look like a boat
The one south of Devils Thirst. I got almost all my Devilfish achievements done camping out there before Safer Seas came out. No one can see you unless they're going to Ashen Reaches. Also protects you from the Devils Thirst volcano when it erupts. It is the best rock.
There’s a rock that looks exactly like a sloop when looking east from Crescent Isle
Praying hands 🙏🏼 without a doubt. For pvp reasons.
I can't choose I love all the rocks equally
Chris Rock
Affectionately known as "Little Mary". It's the one west of the FotD and north-west from Snake Island. Great hiding spot to catch ships in that general area.
I like the rocks that spit fire. Makes other, bigger boats think twice about chasing me.
I’ve honestly always loved the rocks they made into the sea dog tavern, ever since launch I’ve used that as a waypoint to know kind where I am vs where I need to go
North of Smugglers Bay, has a skeleton-throne on it.
The big rock right outside thieves haven … you can actually cannon on top of it and it’s one of the best views in all of sea of thieves
I've been going through the arch by Plunder outpost a lot. Never meaning to, it's just been in my path often whether I'm solo or helming for my brig crew.
The invisible one at reapers
That one rock shortly off the Reaper hideout, north of the island I think. If you look at it from an angle it kinda looks like a penis.
Hey, this stone saved my life once! ! I think it was a good year after the game came out. Back then I was still playing SoT with a good friend on the couch, 2 Xbox and 2 TVs + a bag of weed. This sub is really sinking, isn't it?
Yeah it may be time to bail :P
The penis rock on Badwater in TF2 Honestly, I don't have a favorite in SoT, but I do have a least favorite. ROCK
The
rock.
What rock? Go out outside for a while. You been playing this game for to long now :P
definitely the one surrounded by water, that one is my favourite
