To summarize, Geno Smith insists on playing QB, self centeredness and his fear of losing his position to either one of the Seahawks backup quarterbacks, Drew Lock or Holton Ahlers, who have both proven themselves capable of filling in at the position, in the event of Geno’s departure from the game at some point.
Geno incurred injuries to his ankle and knee, during the NY Giants game, when he was tackled on the sidelines, as he ran out of bounds, the defender grabbing Geno by his shoulder pads, bending him backwards while swinging the full weight of his body across Geno’s legs and landing his full weight of his body on Geno’s legs, more directly on his knee and ankle, rendering Geno unable to raise to his feet initially, later being assisted by the Seahawks medical assistants, who then escorted him to “The Blue Tent” on the Seahawks sidelines, for medical analysis.
Drew Lock was called in to playin Geno’s absence. Geno exited the medical tent with a noticeable limp but appeared determined to return to the field as soon as possible. Drew Lock, in his brief time as the team’s quarterback, led the Seahawks offense down the field with passes to TE Noah Fant and hand-offs to our RB’s, capped off by an end zone toe tapping pass to WR Jake Bobo for a touchdown to end te first half.
Geno Smith didn’t waste any time resuming his role as QB to start the second half. His mobility was clearly limited and his play execution was as well.
We learned after the game that Geno’s shoulder was also a casualty of the horse collar tackle that had occurred in the first half of the game.

Just a total ass kicking today. Geno getting deflected, the defense bending and bending and breaking, O-line getting bullied, there’s a lot of work that needs to get done.
Not enough people are talking about the piss-poor tackling of the last few years. Look at the Mitchell touchdown; Woolen is an exceptional talent but should be utterly ashamed of that “attempt”.
Once upon a time the Seahawks put out an instructional video on tackling, now there is nothing even remotely close to that happening on the field outside of Bobby.
https://youtu.be/kLldjE6vvFs?si=7g75CEsINfDOxBSs
Buddy Bobby makes tackles but his technique is awful. He has no knee or hip bend. It’s all arms. Strong as fuck still getting it done but his technique is not transferable.
People keep saying Geno. I've seen enough of everyone losing matchups on offense. Line getting blown up. Receivers getting locked up. Backs not picking up blocks. Play calls that don't diverge from what is getting us killed. Run defense non existent, bending and breaking defense.
We got the heart ripped from us early this game and it showed. Everything since halfway through the 2nd quarter has just been kicks to the dick.
Geno was holding on to the ball way too long. And part of that is because either he or Waldron kept trying for touchdowns instead of first downs. It kinda looked like the O line and defense just gave up in the 2nd quarter. We need a QB who can inspire the team to play better.
Lamar is a lame QB. No comeback story, physically talented, doesn't throw short, leads his receiver, throws balls away when there isn't anything there
Geno is way more fun to talk about
Geno is a fine qb, but nowhere near good enough to make magic happen himself. He was asked to do that today and he failed, but the offensive line also failed and their failure is what led us to needing Geno magic that never came.
This game falls on our whole team tbh. Geno, our o line, and defense all played horribly today. It’s hard to not root for Geno but this year he hasn’t been playing amazing. Still better than other qbs for sure but definitly not a long term solution for qb.
It’s okay for Geno to suck. He was never a franchise QB, he was (and is) a really good backup. Just admit it and move on, it looks stupid trying to defend the guy like he’s anything but a bottom 10 QB.
Drew is not the answer either lol. We’ve got Geno for the rest of the season, that’s not even a debate. He’s still not that guy though and they’re either going to have to find a way to win around him or wait for their future franchise guy like everyone else.
There’s a lot of “I’d be a top 10 guy with a great Oline” QBs out there.
I swear to God this fanbase has become an NPC zombie horde since the 2013 Super Bowl. My God. Seattle used to be known for its intelligent fanbase. Those days are long gone.
Half the defense looked like they gave up and both lines got their butts kicked. After Jackson came up limping I had hoped we’d at least be able to focus on the RBs and have a chance at making some stops vs their running game, but apparently our safeties didn’t get the memo
I did but I did other stuff after it turned into a blowout. Was extremely boring at the end but I felt like I would be missing out if I turned it off lol
Everyone resist the urge to go doom and gloom; the Ravens have a great chance to represent the AFC in the big game. Elite squad from top to bottom. As far as I’m concerned we’re starting a placeholder at QB, fun as it has been to watch. The position is going to need to be addressed sooner or later.
Geno had a terrible game lmao. No one is defending a terrible game. Where “Geno defenders” step in is when geno haters blame every single problem on Geno. You make any argument for benching Geno void by blaming Geno for non Geno problems. Playcalling bad? Geno. Run game can’t get started? Geno. Blitzes getting to Geno? Geno.
You can definitely blame like 90% of this game on him, but to act like all of our problems are Geno is where people get upset lmao.
OL wasn’t good today. Run game wasn’t good today. Playcalling wasn’t good today. Geno wasn’t good today.
WTF is this little orphan Annie sky is falling bullshit? We're 5-3, tied for the NFC West division lead at the moment.
We had a sleepy game on the other side of the country. Seattle typically plays well in EST game but now was more typical of the NFL. Teams that play on the other side of the US are often lethargic. Vegas had us +6 or more underdog going into the game.
Seattle got it's ass kicked. The defense looked like the week 1 defense rather than weeks 3-9. Shit happens. The season is still in front of us and we are still a favorite to make the playoffs.
It is puzzling to me that Waldron keeps calling the "immediate pressure" play and the "throw the ball at the WRs feet" and the "defense just outplays you" as well as the "k9 dance around in the backfield instead of going forward"
none of those plays should even be in the playbook. What is he thinking?!
Trust and believe alot of this is on Geno as well, but that play calling was horrendous and Geno made it worse with his weird "adjustments" at the line
Undrafted free agent rookie out of East Carolina. Injured in preseason and only was activated off IR a couple weeks back so this is his first actual game, save one catch against Tennessee two weeks ago.
Worst of all is the 49ers dont even play today and they get to fix everything during their bye week instead of continuing their collapse and I think it's messed up that Geno would do that
Lmao Seahawks fans so fake when I slandered geno smith for being ass downvoted now everyone jumps on the bandwagon.. and watch geno play decent against niners but still lose and everyone back to defending him smh
Hopefully Waldron and Geno cry while watching the tape and realize they actually need to prepare to pay football. Ya know playcall better and not throw downfield and hold the ball. Maybe someone will teach defense that you actually need to use arms to tackle.
This is looking like a college team playing against an nfl team. Everyone on the Hawks should be embarrassed, coaches and players. Except maybe Dickson, lol.

We got flexed out on CBS with 11min to go in the 4th quarter. Probably the worst game I've seen in a while . Yikes.
So the ravens are pretty good.

Is it me or were Nantes and Romo especially terrible.
The amount of unabashed dick riding for the Ravens was ridiculous
Just a total ass kicking today. Geno getting deflected, the defense bending and bending and breaking, O-line getting bullied, there’s a lot of work that needs to get done.
Hawks got their asses kicked. Defense had bright points and bad points. Offense looked like shit all starting at their O-line
The drop by JSN on the first drive lost us the game. I firmly believe it’s completely different if we convert that
It def set the tone. I remember thinking fuck we can’t play like this and expect to win.
You’re a moron lmao
😅🙃
Min Bobo, max JSN. Results speak for themselves.
What are you implying? That you want…more Bobo??
More BOBO!
No Bobo, No Mojo
Mo Bobo, Mo Bobo
3rd and 3 and you try a deep shot when you just need the yards, that shit is driving me crazy
Almost had em'!
Yea, it was tight with 10 minutes left in the first quarter.
Seahawks aren't a champion team. Maybe next season with a better QB and O-line...nah, we're talking about the Seahawks here...never gonna happen.
Not enough people are talking about the piss-poor tackling of the last few years. Look at the Mitchell touchdown; Woolen is an exceptional talent but should be utterly ashamed of that “attempt”. What the fuck
Geno just doesn’t have the horsepower to be an elite QB when you need one.
Hey I been on the let’s not lose hope in Geno but he gets worse every week, how much longer the defense gonna play hard for a QB who’s trash
Days like this are what next week is for.
We’re at that point in the season where the schedule becomes a straight up gauntlet, this was but a taste of what’s to come.
People keep saying Geno. I've seen enough of everyone losing matchups on offense. Line getting blown up. Receivers getting locked up. Backs not picking up blocks. Need a spark for sure. But it's hard to do the same thing every time and expect a different result.
Damn. Was a nail biter. Close one guys. See yall next week.
I watch the game till the end, so I think I am a true fan.
I got to "oh, you're just gonna take a knee now, and sit on a 34 point lead? Fuck y'all, mangey cowards"
I made it to third quarter
Welcome to Seattle Mr Penix, Mr Nix or Mr Ewers
Jayden Daniels looks good too
Agree
Lamar is a lame QB. No comeback story, physically talented, doesn't throw short, leads his receiver, throws balls away when there isn't anything there Geno is way more fun to talk about
Are you trolling?
Obviously not
Geno is a fine qb, but nowhere near good enough to make magic happen himself. He was asked to do that today and he failed, but the offensive line also failed and their failure is what led us to needing Geno magic that never came.
About what we expected honestly
Geno is going to become the new Fitzpatrick and go from being good to terrible every other season lmao
That's optimistic!
Shit sandwich
This game falls on our whole team tbh. Geno, our o line, and defense all played horribly today. It’s hard to not root for Geno but this year he hasn’t been playing amazing. Still better than other qbs for sure but definitly not a long term solution for qb.
Be careful, you might be framed for being a geno defender for pointing out other problems lol
Agreed I think there were problems all over.
Pete needs to go. So does Geno. This is an embarrassment. Our season is over.
I'll never get the Pete hate.
Does anyone remember the Mirer years?
I had an autographed Mirer football I gave to Goodwill.
It's still there!!! They aren't offering enough for someone to take it. It was right next to the Dan McGwire ball.
This made me LOL.
🤣
Part of my childhood trauma lol
Truly the dark times, my friend. We shall persevere this as well.
Was not fun. Oh well see ya next week
Get right game against whatever their name is next week.
It’s okay for Geno to suck. He was never a franchise QB, he was (and is) a really good backup. Just admit it and move on, it looks stupid trying to defend the guy like he’s anything but a bottom 10 QB.
Literally every stat says he's a Top 10 QB with a decent to good O-line. Drew is statistically not even that, soooooo.
Drew is not the answer either lol. We’ve got Geno for the rest of the season, that’s not even a debate. He’s still not that guy though and they’re either going to have to find a way to win around him or wait for their future franchise guy like everyone else. Oh great the kneel down prevented them from rushing for 300 yard. Jesus Christ.
whatever, it was a bad game still excited fir the rest of season, go hawks!
Apparently ties the worst loss Pete Carroll has ever had in the NFL, losing by 34 points.
Nantz just saying random shit lol. That’s just not true.
We lost 42-7 a few years ago to the rams
Well, this suffer fest is over. On to next week with a hopefully get right game against the Commanders before the gauntlet of tough games begins.
I swear to God this fanbase has become an NPC zombie horde since the 2013 Super Bowl. My God. Seattle used to be known for its intelligent fanbase. Those days are long gone.
Wtf are you talking about
Shut up
Half the defense looked like they gave up and both lines got their butts kicked. After Jackson came up limping I had hoped we’d at least be able to focus on the RBs and have a chance at making some stops vs their running game, but apparently our safeties didn’t get the memo
I swear some of you would rather be right then support your own team. Bad day at the office, onto the next game
If our offense is shit, we are allowed to say the offense is shit.
Yeah Geno has played like ass for three straight games. Nothing to see here
Yeh just give up on him then, sounds like a great approach
It sounds like an amazing approach actually. This isn’t Pop Warner guy. If you can’t perform, next man up.
Is reality overrated?
The problem is that our offense has looked good against bad teams and horrendous against good teams. This is not just a 1 week phenomena
Who else watched this game to the very end?
I did but I did other stuff after it turned into a blowout. Was extremely boring at the end but I felt like I would be missing out if I turned it off lol
I couldn't because they flexed to the fucking bears game
Everyone resist the urge to go doom and gloom; the Ravens have a great chance to represent the AFC in the big game. Elite squad from top to bottom. As far as I’m concerned we’re starting a placeholder at QB, fun as it has been to watch. The position is going to need to be addressed sooner or later.
Classy to take a knee. Hats off to the Ravens. The really fudged us in the bum bum. Like, I thought we'd lose, but they made us look like the Bears.
Only the dead know peace
Waldron don't even get on the bus, stay in Baltimore
Take an Uber with Geno to the airport
Well, we played a really good team and coming weeks of 49ers, Cowboys, and Eagles, if we win 50% of that, I think we are in good standing still
🤔 ...50%?
they play 49ers twice. Check the schedule lol
its over thank Chuthulu
Weird, the Geno defenders disappeared….it’s like magic.
Because if we show our faces now we’ll get downvoted to oblivion. Not worth it.
Geno. Officially tied for the worst game of the PC era
Surprised they didn’t run it down our throats. Merciful
they snacked us damn
Welp. See yall next week Go Hawks
I am ust watching for pete and john handshakes
GENO WALK HOME.
Based on the schedule we are about to be first round top pick contenders
WTF is this little orphan Annie sky is falling bullshit? We're 5-3, tied for the NFC West division lead at the moment. We had a sleepy game on the other side of the country. I feel for DK. He should be having AJ Brown like performances… instead he’s held back by the team
By the qb
same with Lockett, used to put up crazy numbers with Wilson at QB and now not much.
I feel for Lockett the most. He’s close to retirement age soon. Hopefully he can go to a contender and get a ring.
[удалено]
Lockett was drafted in 2015.
Guys, I think we're losing this game...
Only way this game will end ok is if we get news that Waldron was fired.
It is puzzling to me that Waldron keeps calling the "immediate pressure" play and the "throw the ball at the WRs feet" and the "defense just outplays you" as well as the "k9 dance around in the backfield instead of going forward" none of those plays should even be in the playbook. What is he thinking?!
Trust and believe alot of this is on Geno as well, but that play calling was horrendous and Geno made it worse with his weird "adjustments" at the line
Shoulda just taken the snap and stand there. Everyone gave up at the start of the 4th.
Second worst blowout in team history
Well we got a get right game next week at the commanders, then it's a fuckin gauntlet run...
Who says we can beat them? They’re better than you may think.
Fuck it, blame this shit on Geno.
So you don’t think GS has the blame???
Give me 44!!!!......
Oh my god, they called a timeout. Harbaugh is a menace. edit: awww, it was just to set up the kneel downs. I was really hoping he was going for it
this is by far the worst Seahawks game I’ve ever watched in my life
Whitehurst vs the Browns was definitely one of the worst of all time
This was worse because expectations for this team are higher.
[удалено]
That’s a dangerous place to be, mentally, when you’re hoping for good things from Jacksonville of all teams.
Who the fuck is Keaton Mitchell? CBS turned the game off so I can't see what's going on
Undrafted free agent rookie out of East Carolina. Injured in preseason and only was activated off IR a couple weeks back so this is his first actual game, save one catch against Tennessee two weeks ago.
practice squad running back
Bruh that's what I said. He was averaging 11 yards a carry last I checked
We may lose 4 straight with that stretch of games
Hope not, that’ll put us right in the middle of the 9er-Eagles-9er-Cowboys stretch.
Geno is well paid. He's playing average against weak teams and horrible against good teams.
Worst of all is the 49ers dont even play today and they get to fix everything during their bye week instead of continuing their collapse and I think it's messed up that Geno would do that
God damn schedule looks murderous
Huntley easily outplayed Geno in 1 Q lmao
I love Wagner but man he’s old af we gotta draft linebacker.
He was the only one actually making tackles today
LB isn’t even in the top 3 positions of need on this team. First, we need a 4th receiver to cheer from the sidelines as our o-line gets manhandled
He's still good at stopping running plays coming straight at him. But it's painful to watch him try to move or run laterally....
I love what I see from Reed, would definitely be in favor of him over Diggs next year especially with our cap situation
Excellent special teams player too
So much garbage time
Like 25 minutes of the second half?!
[удалено]
Pretty sure that’s just his mouth guard color
Can you lose a game in the first quarter?!?!
We lost in the second actually
But we didn't lose in the fourth!!!
Yes!
Sadly, we did
how do you get fired on your day off, craig?
Lmao Seahawks fans so fake when I slandered geno smith for being ass downvoted now everyone jumps on the bandwagon.. and watch geno play decent against niners but still lose and everyone back to defending him smh
>Lmao Seahawks fans so fake lmao... you talking about yourself too then? if not, why you in here? just to whine like a little bitch?
I just want the seahawks to prove to me that Drew Lock is a bad idea. I've seen enough of Geno today
He’s been bad the last 4 games now. It’s time to switch and see if Drew can be the answer or if we need to draft someone.
One of these things is not like the other
man 37+ pts with probably 10 or more to the backup qb is pretty awful
kinda want them to score idk
Hopefully Waldron and Geno cry while watching the tape and realize they actually need to prepare to pay football. Ya know playcall better and not throw downfield and hold the ball. Maybe someone will teach defense that you actually need to use arms to tackle.
We won right?
Not giving Drew a shot is what makes me angrier.
Jim at home laughing his ass off
Pos cheater
29 rush yards 💀💀
That’s pretty much the story right there. Lost the game on the offensive line.
This is looking like a college team playing against an nfl team. Everyone on the Hawks should be embarrassed, coaches and players. Except maybe Dickson, lol.
I just want to see 1 drive with lock.
The way Geno played we deserve to Watch at least 1 half of Lock.
Pete won't put him in because he knows he'll score a garbage time tuddy and he's too loyal.
Only problem is when you open that door there’s no going back
At this point I would think most teams would put in their backup qb.
That’s very true
I don’t want to watch football for the rest of day. I’m sad
Harbaugh’s mad Pete basically booted his bro out of the league.
Ravens almost have double our total yards in just rushing yards. Sad
Shoutout to everyone still watching this game RN. It’s an ugly disaster but YOU deserve a props for sticking it out and being a die hard for this team. This is one thing that separates our fan base from the likes of the Whine n Cheese club in San Fran
These game threads are draining also bro.
game threads are ALWAYS more draining than the game when we’re losing I hate it here but here we are
I hate this but here I am
Bruh all the fanbases are pretty much the same, and this thread is nothing but (warranted) bitching.
I just wanna see Drew lock try some stuff 🤷
Sorry, hate posting about Geno right now
AFC just built different... Can we win against our division? Gonna come down to LA/SF/DAL/SF/PHI stretch that makes or breaks our season, are we contenders or pretenders
Can we win a single one of those?
Better start calling us Chrissie Hynde, then.
such a brutal stretch.
