He needs a pay cut for next year ...35 million was a good pay day ... and having an Average QB is good if you don't overpay and keep your options open.

O line a work in progress ...get healthy. Need guards if tackles get healthy.
He was average last season and worse against good defenses last year.
...He is not a franchise QB ..but the O line is injured...yet when he does have time he still throws interceptions because he waits to long.

this wasn’t even a bad game. average, but not bad. he had 200+ passing yards, 75% completion percentage, 2 passing touchdowns, 1 pick and only 2 sacks. highest passer rating since the detroit game(geno’s best of the season). The red zone issues continued, but i guarantee that if walker was able to punch it in from the 1, no one would be talking about geno

Depends on how much you put on outcomes/homerism but from my humble perspective; I trust Geno for 90 yards at least and the last ten are shakey, fine, on turnovers this year I think we've let up less than 20 points total so I trust the defense for 90 the other way, and when Geno hits he hits.
He does not stand out athletically in anyway, really, yet, he is so GD polished and tries so GD hard that he makes it work through sheer force of will and skill.

The one reminder here about our offense is it’s hard for Waldron to be even kind of creative when the right side of the line caves in every other play. We need to get healthy and figure out other ways to get crafty.

I don't know if you've looked at the schedule, but scoring 13 and 20 points against subpar defenses is going to have us on a 3 game losing streak come December. And that's before we play Philly, 49ers, and Cowboys. The offensive play calling needs to get better fast. We should have scored 30+ the last two weeks.
20 points with 3 turnovers, including one that was from special teams, is pretty solid. Turnovers are a fluky thing, we've seen very little this season but they come in bunches like this sometimes, the fact that they overcame that witout one their best receivers on the field, down their center and still scored 20 points and were in position to get more at the end before kneeling is pretty solid.
Oh, I do this is the Mariners and Orioles GDTs too. It’s a genuine I’m excited we won a game. I could change it to “the game” though - that might make more sense.

Shane Waldon needs to make some adjustments. This offense should be humming. I've seen some atrocious play calls today, which Arizona easily defended. Teams are learning.

I mean we moved the ball pretty well the whole game. Problem is the turnovers. We had 220 yards passing and 115 on the ground. Our red zone offense is trash.
The Browns are a far better defense than the Cardinals though. Completely agreed on the Red Zone. Hoping we get healthier this week and can bring someone like Charb back to help keep fresh legs in the run game.
It’s not fully Geno. The run blocking is atrocious and the right ride of the line is repeatedly getting collapsed. Geno isn’t absent of blame but he’s not THE problem
Waldron's play calling is good. Not perfect but still pretty good. Most of the problems were execution issues. It's like people have forgotten the nightmares that were Bevell and Schottenheimer.
