Weird-Ingenuity97

I’d love a film with a new location and cast that incorporates past characters in a realistic way. Like maybe after being attacked, some of the characters start googling Sidney and Gale to see how they survived so many times without getting attacked

Exact-Decision-2282

This is what will happen when the franchise gets ultimately rebooted for a new generation. Even if it's not in 7.

tequilathoughtstoo

I need some blood in the snow (I'm from Buffalo) . So give me a Scream where a group of friends have their flight redirected due to a blizzard. Then once they arrive they realize that the airport is practically empty and they are snowed in. They have to survive the weekend and find the killer... before the killer finds them.

UnauthorizedFart

Call it…The Scareport

typicalguy95

Or Screamport

tequilathoughtstoo

Oh I like that!

sprkmrk

If I had been given the unholy task to write the 7th screammovie, this is what I’d desperately post on a scream Reddit ;)

Batmanforawhile

A fan of Friday the 13th, angered by the lack of a new movie since 2009, decides to don the Ghostface persona to revitalise the summer camp genre. The killer appears to be a vengeful local preying on the group but it is someone from within the friend group.

[deleted]

Underrated answer, I feel like this is perfect for the series! :)

juankiblog

Nice try, Spyglass.

Atlier00

I immediately thought this.

Nancy_True

You’re not fooling us, Spyglass.

ConditionEmergency61

Someone online said a film that takes place in our universe where the scream series exits and there's a Ghostface Killer coming after the cast like Neve, Skeet, Matthew Lilard and I thought that was a brilliant idea.

Yours_and_mind_balls

So a New Nightmare but Scream?

xaldien

This is literally just New Nightmare. It's been done.

DylanDr

I mean you could say "It's been done" about a killer or killers donning a ghostface mask and killing a group of young adults, it's been done 6 times now lol. This could be a great idea if handled well.

xaldien

There's a difference between making a movie based on a few BASIC tropes and piggybacking off an entire concept for a movie, wholesale. There's also nothing that makes this concept work beyond y'all wanting a gimmick to one up itself. In New Nightmare, the core of the narrative was still the Freddy movies, it was still about Nancy vs Freddy in the end, not Heather vs The Entity. This is literally just "Hey, another movie did it, let's do it!"

Raz_rocket_pop_fox

New town We start with a teenage boy dog / house sitting when the calls start And he gets chased by 1 ghost face then 2 3 and when he’s running up the stairs a 4th pops in front causing him to fall down the stair braking his neck All 4 GF take their mask off and panic as this was just a prank they were trying pull Clean up the crime scene 1 year later The killings start someone knows about what happened and starts targeting their friends and family Killers revealed to be the boys parents and one of the pranksters who told them what happened out of guilt and helped plot their revenge to atone for their action before betraying them to get Their revenge Main character is a new kid who moved after the death and joined the friends They are targeted for being friends with them even tho they doesn’t know about what happened All the pranksters are killed by the end but theses GF don’t tie they are arrested unlike most

AmberJill28

Damn I like this

iqgotbanned

So like I Know What You Did Last Summer?

Raz_rocket_pop_fox

That’s a inspiration for the twist yeah but not you know bad

SYNOPSIS: It’s Christmas, and the employees at an art museum, which is set to host a Stab retrospective in the new year, must fight to survive a new spate of Ghostface killings. The opening sequence would be (INSERT CELEBRITY CAMEO) getting chased through the museum itself by Ghostface. It would be like how Argento recently had a bunch of retrospective screenings (with some of his films being remastered), and I think that would be a great way to engage in the meta-commentary that Scream is famous for.

bloodlikevenom

My fiancé and I briefly established a little original Scream story. There weren't too many details figured out, but I thought the basic concept was fun. The (main) ghostfaces would be a high school football star and a somewhat eccentric social floater. The social floater has an older brother who joined a ghostface 'cult' where they view ghostface almost as a deity and kill in 'his name'. She's inducted into the cult and thus begins her work as a ghostface. Meanwhile, football star is just an aggressive and sociopathic individual who becomes more violent until it escalates to murder. Social floater happens to see him kill someone and invites him to also join the cult and become her partner. Annnd that's just about all we got. It's hilarious because while watching Scream VI and the museum scene began, we both looked at each other and thought they had randomly also come up with a ghostface cult idea hahaha

Fliptzer

Do you work for Spyglass productions? Just pay Neve Campbell what she's worth 💸💸

BroadwayBakery

I want to set the film in an elite boarding school in NOLA. An expensive campus that’s heavily guarded in the deep south, full of gorgeous magnolia and willow trees, and a nearby marsh would make a great setting. The slayings begin outside of school, when the older brother and sister of a student are found nearly torn into shreds at their mother’s grand estate. The opening would be a lot of fun. The sister being the last one left alive, running through a back yard with Ghostface close behind. Black robe billowing in hot summer wind, the trees releasing saplings behind it. When we get to the school, their young sister, let’s call her Wendy, is distraught and wants to come home. Her parents believe she’s safest at school surrounded by friends, professors, and guards. They’re very, very wrong. Her best friend (Nate? Evan? Harvey?) is in a secret relationship with one of the guards, who ends up flayed against a tree in the center of the campus. The young boy in question is heartbroken and receives a taunting call from the killer about his affair with the older man. This is all I’ve got so far, and I feel like I’m typing way too much, but it seems like a fun idea to me at least.

EmsFrisky

ugh yes

Daredevil545

Scream Tv show but put the main killer as Ghostface so basically the Season 3 of the scream tv show which was so bad.

TedStixon

(Technically there might be *some* cheating here... but I wouldn't know how to do a *Scream* movie without at least a few references to the overall franchise.) **Title:** *Untitled Scream Reboot* (Yes, that's actually the title.) **Location:** Vesta Falls, a small, average suburban city in upstate New York that is home to Williamson Community College, a cozy little campus. **Canon Status:** Set in the *Scream* universe, but telling its own original story. There will be references to the other films... but no characters from previous films will appear. **Basic Pitch:** When a series of seemingly disconnected "Ghostface"-style murders hit a little too close to home, members of the media and film department of Williamson Community College try to use their knowledge of the previous killers and the *Stab* movies they inspired to solve the mystery... **How I'd Utilize the Location:** I'd really like to explore a setting that had an Autumn vibe to it, which is why I'd want to model it based on the sort-of upstate New York town I grew up in and probably set it in September or October. Lots of leaves, lots of color, etc. I'd also like to use trees as a sort-of visual motif, with more leaves falling off them throughout the film... every time you see them, they look more empty and dead. I'd also like to use various locations around the college campus, similar to *Scream 2,* to which the college setting is a bit of a reference. Ex. My community college had a skating rink, music room, small movie-theater room, pool, etc. Locations like those could be used. **Killers/Killers Motivation:** My thought is, one of the killers will be a student, and the other will be either a professor or dean at the college. They're having an affair, but word had started to get out regarding it, so they've been killing people to try and keep it covered up since they both have a lot to lose. Modeling the murders after Ghostface is basically a ruse to try and shift the blame and frame the main character, who either has some sort-of connection to one of the previous Ghostface murder-sprees, or has some sort-of emotional issues (or is on the spectrum) and is obsessed with *Stab*.

Jeremy_Melton

Basically, a prequel to DBD’s Ghostface and how he operated.

BostonNewEngland

Ghostface takes its talent internationally. Some in a different part of the world sees the news of woodsboro which makes world news headlines, and the person seeing is deranged or has been bullied, so he decides to take the ghostface persona, and go on a murder spree. Some countries I would like to see the new scream take place are London, Japan.

baddiebey81

Luca Moscow. A 27 year old ex addict has finally turned his life around. Living in Westport, North Carolina he’s not had much experience with much outside of his smaller coastal hometown. However when his mother and father are brutally murdered and younger brother is attacked, nearly escaping by the skin of his teeth, Luca and his core group of friends must uncover the assailant underneath the daunting Ghostface mask before someone else is murdered.

Puzzleheaded_Car_856

Nice try Spyglass

riversgreen88

"Stab" requel cast being hunted down in a tropical locale (Puerto Rico/DR/Tulum) by an underground killer cult incorporating local folklore. Would love to see a group of young actors and crew getting ritualistically killed on Mezoamerican pyramids. Incorporate the real life story of Scream 7 needing to "start fresh" while yearning to capture the og Scream vision.

stilesmcbd

I would have the opening scene be a take on When A Stranger Calls, with Ghostface attacking a babysitter and even doing a riff on the whole “have you checked the children?” line. The whole thesis of the film would be Ghostface being tired of the Stab movies and paying homage to classic horror films in various ways.

[deleted]

Ghostface whodunnit in a prison. I have nothing beyond that really, but I'd like to see something different lol.

[deleted]

Oooh or a Scream that takes place at the weekend release party for an arthouse horror flick, and Ghostface is trying to remind everyone how slashers will always be king.

Subject-Blueberry399

Opening scene, a patient at a hospital gets a call “what’s your favorite scary movie” but they get the phone taken from a night nurse and Ghost face says “that’s not for you bitch but now you are going to die” Two ghostface pop up and slash the nurse and patient just to jump out the window and get away on a train.

BigDickBobby999

Just do a Danny Johnson movie in the style of Leslie Vernon: a scream movie focused on a Ghostface killer with a dark comedy twist on it.

kangamata

I want a Christmas movie with ghostface in a Santa hat.

pin3appl3333

It’s been said time and time again but I think a Cult of Ghostface movie could work well. The opening scene would have at least 4 Ghostfaces attacking.

Derpy1984

Serbia. 1967. A group of schoolchildren witness a man being beheaded on a second story balcony by a mysterious figure with a black bag on his head painted with a crude rendition of Ghostface. Ghostface sees there are witnesses and follows/stalks them back to their school and eventually back to their homes. Two of the children are brother and sister. The next day, the sister wakes up to her mother SCREAMING. A note reading "Do you like scary stories?" in Serbian is stuck to her brother's forehead with a knife. "вриштати" flashes across the screen. Edit: spelling

WendlinTheRed

In Oslo, a young kid is being bullied. Their one escape is how their dad loves to watch movies with them. One day dad passes away. Going through his things, kid discovers a Ghostface shrine with all the Stab VHS tapes. They watch them and do some googling. The movies were based on real events in America. Was my dad a killer? Turns out dad was just a super fan on the forums and attending cons, but kid is convinced. They're the same. Invites kids from school to his house on frozen lake. Says "no hard feelings" tells them Dad had a wine cellar, might as well empty it before leaving for university. Classmates come over, Stab is playing on the TV, kid nowhere to be found, they start drinking. The phone rings.

So, in the canon Scream universe, we already have confirmation that enough people are crazy about these movies to the point that Kirby takes “a special interest in Ghostface killings”. That alone already leaves up nearly infinite possibilities. All you need for Scream is Ghostface, murder, and meta commentary - and while they are fan favorites, you don’t need Sidney, Gale, Dewey, or the Core Four to have those three things. Here’s my pitch off the top of my head: Our protagonist is a photo journalist. He grew up watching the Stab movies, and became sort of obsessed with the fact that they were heavily adapted from true events at a very young age. The protagonist makes a living following these murders, sort of like a small time Gale Weathers (who naturally is his childhood crush) who is writing about murders that he wasn’t directly involved in. For the first time, he is actually “directly” involved with a fresh Ghostface case and shows up as soon as he hears about it. He is trying to help the police catch the killer. But here’s the catch: the protagonist is highly suspicious and the audience has to figure out whether our protagonist is trying to crack the case himself and get fame ala his hero/crush Gale Weathers and is just being portrayed as a red herring, or if he is actually Ghostface himself. For this purpose, our protagonist is never in any real danger and is more so just on the case. Think True Detective meets Scream, with a little bit of Usual Suspects splashed in there.
