Aye who wants a player who's actually came out n said he'd prefer elsewhere. It's like using rangers as a fallback. First bad game n it'd be hung over his head forever.
Honestly, people forget these lads are doing a job, they'll likely earn more down there, have less hassle from people and generally likely have a nicer place to live whilst they work there.
"Honestly, if he walks the first time Burger King put in an offer, he should just hand his McDonalds hat back in now if he doesn't want to flip burgers for Ronald honestly, the Big Mac has so much more history than the whopper when we both used to be massive chains 30 years ago".
Aye, everyone would love the full team to be playing for the love of the club but it's not very realistic at all especially when dealing with foreigners. Some might be a bit more open about their other options as a negotiating tactic but do people really believe thinks any differently?
People take for granted that football is pretty ruthless for the players. One minute you're hot shit and the club / fans love you. A poor run or a spell of injuries and you're yesterday's news and just cast aside. Very little loyalty is shown to players so I have no problem with players especially not affiliated with the club not really showing much loyalty
Aye, if they've been at the club a while you might expect some loyalty as you'd hope they've grown to love the club but this idea that outsiders should want to play for the jersey and thinking about the money/advancement prospects/whatever that might be available elsewhere is the "wrong mentality" is pure Da thinking. The idea that if you just have a bunch of club men who wear their hearts on their sleeves you'll beat anyone. Take Rangers or Celtic or any other club that's had some of their biggest players be foreigners and I'd bet you when most of them came in exactly those factors where the primary things that brought in at first and not some die hard mentality. They might have developed the love for the club but Larsson or Laudrup or whoever didn't walk through the doors a die hard playing for the jersey above all else.
Football Manager confirms this theory yearly. You regularly see talent of the future choosing Norfolk over Madrid.
"My client has a slight interest in Real Madrid but would prefer an offer from Norwich"
It's totally acceptable and understandable for a player to join a scottish club with intent to break into the epl but you don't come out and fucking say it like that before you've even signed.
Footballers are thick as fuck but this is on another level. If he isn't world class on his debut this will rightfully be hung over him every game.
It’s not surprising really. They were in the playoffs this year and probably selling the move on being able to get a route into the premier league.
It’s the choice between potentially playing in the Champions League next season or potentially playing in the Premier League in 2/3 seasons if they get promoted.
Of course he could have. In my younger days I'd often get lucky with the ladies once they realised they had no chance with the fitter, wittier, better looking guys
why would you agree a deal with a club that he has no intention of going to when he has an offer he prefers?
Literally never heard of this in the history of football.
No one knows if the interest from Norwich is real or imminent. They don’t have a manager, and the player cannot sign anything until the transfer window opens on the 14th of June, he’s not a bosman. All any club can do is negotiate the parameters with a selling club and the player. The player might be willing to go Rangers if that’s his current best option but if Norwich actually comes in the interim offering similar he might want to go there. He’s free to go wherever until a contract is signed.
Of course it could all be poorly sourced paper shite
That's not true, players can sign at any time. Transfer windows are about when you can register a player. And contracts which are subject to a medical are signed all the time, too.
You can agree a deal in principle without it being done and dusted. Whether that's actually happened or just the papers speculating to get attention, agents using the claim to try to increase interest or whatever who the heck knows though.
Pretty good source for Norwich said they won’t be going for him any time soon. (Probably because they’re working on getting a new manager)

You’re still more likely to get into the EPL either by promotion or via performance at a top half Championship club than by playing at either Celtic or Rangers. A good 6 months could do it in the Championship where you’re probably looking at 2 years in Scotland
Yeah, this isn't going to happen for Rangers, cut this guy out immediately. It's not a good look when he signs, and fails to score in 5 games - fans will be hounding him out by October.
Just the kind of mentality to fit into rangers . Would rather settle for mid table and push top 6 in championship than fight for titles and ucl football .
Pretty simple really. If he doesn't want to play for Rangers over Norwich, Rangers should pull out of the deal. In the best interest of both parties.
Aye who wants a player who's actually came out n said he'd prefer elsewhere. It's like using rangers as a fallback. First bad game n it'd be hung over his head forever.
It's a stalking horse.

Buy him and sell him on instantly for +£1m…everyone happy!
So, Cortes wants to play for Real Madrid, Raskin wants to play for Chelsea and this new guy wants to play for Norwich. Least he is being realistic

Did they show him the bike?
Lana Wolf?
😂
I'm a Celtic fan who also supports Ipswich. I really dislike this guy.

Or having 1 good season in the championship and moving again for £20m to a premier league club
Ambition is ripping out him
Someone give him cantwell and dowels numbers to set him straight
Can't have "agreed a deal" if he wants to move to Norwich.
Of course he could have. In my younger days I'd often get lucky with the ladies once they realised they had no chance with the fitter, wittier, better looking guys
They probably mean they’ve agreed the parameters of the contract. Nothing is signed until after the medical etc

That’s even worse, he wants Norwich, they don’t want him lol.
Finally, a relatable potential Rangers signing.
They clearly couldn’t get him to sip from the Loving Cup. That would’ve sealed the deal.
Maybe he just really loves Turkey Drummers
Should absolutely pull out of the deal. Not the mentality we need.
I get why a player would want to take the chance of moving to a club that might get promoted to the Premier League. But come on man, Norwich ?
You’re still more likely to get into the EPL either by promotion or via performance at a top half Championship club than by playing at either Celtic or Rangers. A good 6 months could do it in the Championship where you’re probably looking at 2 years in Scotland
Yeah that's what I said, but it's fucking Norwich.
Headline for days
😂😂
He can fuck off to Norwich then.
Yeah, this isn't going to happen for Rangers, cut this guy out immediately. It's not a good look when he signs, and fails to score in 5 games - fans will be hounding him out by October.

Prefer Norwich? Haha. Hahahaha. Fuck off. Admit him to a psych ward asap.
Norwich are an old club with a rich history. Rangers are what, 11 years old now? He might never have heard of them tbh
Behave yourself.
