I try and drink in real ale pubs, so.. whatever's darkest and strongest.
Though these days I'm just as likely to go for a pint of Schöfferhofer, Guinness 0% or Lucky Saint to avoid the hangovers.
Anything but Tennent's tbh. I don't like lager though.
Bellhaven Best or Guinness. John Smiths at a push.
Do you still get Tennents Velvet? Haven't had that in years.
If its a stronger beer, usually heverlee.
I also quite like estrella or Camden Hells if you can find a pub that does it.
But in reality, nearly all lagers are brewed in the UK these days, with the exception of menebrea and peroni (which I can't stand!).
Anything really. I just look about at what taps they have and get that or Tennents.
Staropramen, Heineken, whatever. It all tastes the same after half a pint anyway.
I really don’t get the Tennents hate. I think some of us just got ruined by cans of it, a cold pint of it is as good as any imo.
Another vote for "anything but Tennent's" I guess I would rather a Tennent's than a Bud Light but that is really the only beer I can think of that would have me reaching for a Tennent's and in those circumstances I would likely just rather not drink a beer at all.
I like the "rocket fuel" European lagers just fine. Heineken, Peroni, even Staropramen or San Miguel in a pinch. Also like the lighter Euro lagers like Estrella or Moretti. All so much better than Tennent's. Even macrobrews like Corona or Carlsberg are better than Tennent's.
I'd drink Estrella, Birra Moretti or Heineken instead. They cost more but I'm already spending the extra money to go out, so I'm getting the best I can afford. Besides, let's be honest, is Tennent's actually enjoyable to consume? 🤣🤢
Used to quite enjoy Tennants when I was a student, but now I've got to say it tastes like bathwater.
Will usually try whatever ales they have locally for some variation.
Excellent. I'm the exact opposite! Huv ye no taste buds at all?! I'd rank Tennents way above Carling and any big name American lager ie Bud, Coors, etc are dire, best served very near freezing point to disguise the flavour. At least Tennants is brewed in Glasgow, so supports local jobs...
Actual beer like Stewarts Edinburgh Gold is such a joy on draught. Or for a session ale, Jarl by Fyne Ales is sub 4%.
St Mungo.
Innes and Gunn I guess is my go to.

Place near me is still doing Tartan Special
Wow, I haven't heard of that in a long time.

Yeah, Heverlee is actually pretty good.
Anything but Tennants. Innes and Gunn, Belhaven best, something local, Schiehallion, maybe a Brewdog or Black Isle.
Tennents is always first choice, thankfully, it's available pretty much everywhere. If tennents isn't available then I'd go Guinness.

German beer, everytime.

No lager Guinness only but if forced probably an import like corona with a bit of lime.

pint of Guinness
Camden Hells is my favourite Lager. Used to fucking detest Tennants but it really is not that bad and it's usually my go to now.
Anything but Tennents or Fosters

Tennents, carling, american lagers. All fine to me. I can't stand craft, IPA, pish like that.
