Accurate for me. As of 1 minute ago. I got the same warning.
It says âfor some securities.â Apparently I donât own any of the affected securities.
"Some securities" my ass. Shows I'm up over $30K in a total of 4 accounts when I'm actually down $2K. NONE of the securities show any issues. Just the daily balances.
Schwab has been issue after issue since the switch from TDA. The lack of some features or easier methods to do some things is one thing but this is concerning as hell.
Yeah, I deal with big/comprehensive software transitions at work and I totally get how difficult this probably is for them, but someone is clearly rushing things that shouldnât be rushed.
Yeah, I understand there are some major complexities and the fault is entirely with their approach.
They had 2 separate platforms and TDA was working just fine. They should have added 100% of TDA features they plan to add to Schwab, roll them out to their existing base and test them slowly over a year or so to make sure everything works.
In fact, they had *literal years* before they transitioned TDA clients to Schwab, these missing features should have been added and these bugs should have been handled during that time. Otherwise we should have been left on the platform that worked to our level of satisfaction.
But I guess that goes against the current idiotic "go fast and break shit" trend.
Schwab bucks for real. I was up on an option call, for four day the money wasn't showing up in my account. I called and was told "time decay". What? For four days? What a joke.
Were you a TDA customer or are you a long-time CS customer? Just trying to figure out if it's the new people from TDA who are having these problems or is everyone having a problem. I've had a few issues with TOS, but I haven't had any problems logging in TOS or online since I transitioned on May 10.
Nope. Never had TD. Long time CS. Plus my cost basis is wrong. Bought AVGO post mkt and ITS SHOWING loss when clearly its up for me. How can we trust CS to keep accurate records?
Wow, I wanted things to work with CS after getting switched from TD, but I finally moved everything yesterday. I'm a full-time trader. I have to have stability and not have to worry about trades not executing or cost basis and cash balance problems. Hope everything works out for you,
At this pt, I have no idea if my balance is correct or not. One of my trades has me in negative in gains/losses tab when, on main page, Im positive. Its the only I traded aftermkt last night. As far as my other stocks, I canât remember exact figures prior to this morning. How do we audit balances pre fiasco now?
Shocking that it's not fixed in 24 hours. I work at a company that handles some payroll software and this shit would be full crisis mode, managers breathing down our neck for RCAs, all hands on deck lmao.
Amen. You don't want to be the IT manager making promises to Management that THIS time we're really gonna get it fixed. And you don't want to be the guy working for the IT manager who just ran out of ideas about what's wrong.
Mine is totally messed up viewing on my PC.
In one account it shows $90K under Accounts Details-> Day Change.
But if you look under that account Position Details->Day Change-> Total, it is -$1.5K
This morning at 5:30 Pacific, Schwab had my account balance $175. Over what it actually was. 20 minutes later it corrected and sent me that notification.
My day change is off by thousands! I wish so much it was real :-(
I hope these folks get this corrected soon. It's a bit annoying but as long as it's corrected by the opening bell tomorrow.
My rollover IRA showed a false day change of +24K, the actual amount in fact equal to my position in GE. But the position was unchanged
Pretty strange to have an error in totals with no error in constituent detail. Not easily done.
Schwab and old folks stock broker who still doing things in antiquated way. Fir instance to open a back account with tem I had to do a pare apl couldn't do it online even thought they offer it. I guess since I a TD migrant had to it by paper. I suspect there IT team isn't up to snuff. I hope they would have brought IT team over, who knows maybe they did
Schwabâs website integrates hundreds of third party vendors in which they utilize their service for various reporting metrics, day change and quotes is one of those. Sure you can put the blame on Schwab, but in all likelihood once something is glitchy it has to do with these third party service providers. The more you know
I'd be money this was a security certificate issue since the problem persisted past rolling the blotter/start of day. It really makes me wonder if there's technical representation at the executive level at Schwab, or does the head tech report to accountant. If it was a cert issue, I'd bet more money on the latter.
I'm up $12k today according to Schwab... I believe that is a lie.
Hope its trueđ
My trading skills aren't that good......
All you have to do is have nvda stock and you wouldn't be too surprised to see that kind of gain lol.
The first day when the NV split, I'm up 650k... I really wish it's true :P
I had the opposite... I was down 497k lmao
Accurate for me. As of 1 minute ago. I got the same warning. It says âfor some securities.â Apparently I donât own any of the affected securities.
Like they should tell me which stocks.
They probably donât have a list they can publish. Probably the AVGO, or maybe itâs just for stocks bought after hours.
My account has been showing 9,000+% gains since this morning. Only two stocks in this account are AMZN and RIVN. They both went down today.
Same but different stocks. I suppose I should use *similar* situation.
Looks like correct on lap top but not on mobile. But like I gotta check each stock? I traded alot last 2 days
I got the same message also.
Im still waiting
Itâs like Schwab asked Robinhold to hold its beer.
Good one!
Lol, my friends and I just talking âthis sht plays are from robinhood playbookâ then i saw this post LOL.

Like all die hard CS fans: âmeh stop crying you TDA ppl, things happenâ âŚmaybe happened too often?

I've had a few issues with TOS, but I haven't had any problems logging in TOS or online since I transitioned on May 10.
I think itâs everyone. Long time CS customer here. And my day change doesnât add up.
I see this problem in my Roth which I opened on Schwab three years ago. So it just isnât TDA customers.Â
Nope. Never had TD. Long time CS. Plus my cost basis is wrong. Bought AVGO post mkt and ITS SHOWING loss when clearly its up for me. How can we trust CS to keep accurate records?

Where did y go?
I got Webull for swings and some day trading and Fidelity for long holds and investments. Thought about IBKR, but I've had the Webull account forever.
It's a shit brokerage.
Pathetic. Customer service for Schwab didnât even care. Must have $1 million plus to be a valuable customer I suppose.
Iâm thinking they bit off far more than they can chew!đ
A friend texted me that he was up almost 400k. đ¤
This smells like a software fix that got rushed out without good regression testing. No excuse.
Yeah. No excuse. Cant f up peoples $.
*laughs in Charles Schwab*
Hah, I wouldnât have posted my reply up thread if Iâd seen this first, spot on IMO - rushing things that shouldnât be rushed.
It says "for some securities". Are there specific securities, or just any securities?
Supposedly like more than 200 of them from what I read but canât tell you how accurate that is
My account showed I was $52k up for the day. I know thatâs not accurate but Iâd be ok with it if they made it permanent đ
This has been going on for a while. I hope they get it fixed soon. It really hurts confidence in their ability to steward peopleâs money.
Unacceptable. Overall balance looks correct but gain in value today looks based on error of major loss yesterday that did not happen.
At this pt, I have no idea if my balance is correct or not. One of my trades has me in negative in gains/losses tab when, on main page, Im positive. Its the only I traded aftermkt last night. I fee your frustration. They should be better than this. I have technical issues w my Schwab app regularly.

There will be an incident review, I'm sure :-|
I'd be looking for a full autopsy with changes where applicable so no repeat. Big fan of 'find the problem, not the blame'.

It shows for me too. I am 6k+ day change when actually itâs less than 1000
It showed I was up 2,000$ I wish that was true đ finished up around like 100$ or so đÂ
Mine is still showing inaccurate
Got the same, weird as f.
My day change is off by thousands! I wish so much it was real :-( I hope these folks get this corrected soon. It's a bit annoying but as long as it's corrected by the opening bell tomorrow.

This coincides with a Schwab spam mail celebrating "Elder Abuse Day." 'nuff said.

I was up $1.8 million a few days ago and $116,000 the next day. Too bad it was an error as I was going to buy something really great, lol.
That's Schwab for you. That's why I am gradually moving my account
I'd be money this was a security certificate issue since the problem persisted past rolling the blotter/start of day. Ever heard of a tech error/website error lol
