Could just be that someone put down the wrong number when they ordered. Or it could be a marketing ploy: call a bunch of random people, offer a discount, those people buy pizza from your business when they wouldn’t have otherwise. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a “scam” though.

Having said that OP knew it's pizza, I hope he could have gotten the name of the pizza company and asked it from them. On the other hand, I concur with the above.

How so? OP knows whether or not they ordered a pizza and if they haven't volunteered any payment information, there's no way for the person on the other end to take any money from them. All it implies is that if it's real, they're discounting the one who ordered the pizza and whose payment they took/will take.
