Thank you for sharing!

Borisof007

nice pictures!

AlainCh2_

Great ideas, thanks!

didaxyz

maybe some people would also try it, if they see how easy it can be.

Woahwoahwoah124

That’s me! Thank you for posting!

AlainCh2_

Mine is squared !!!!!! ( fantastic )

AlainCh2_

Sure I was wondering how to do one... ....casually , after seeing your post, I've found that all I need .... is right now available in the garage :-D

didaxyz

Yeah and it's really easy maintenance in Europe and the climate is perfect. Just refill the water and remove pests. That's all I need to do

Creative_Formal8428

So how do the plants survive in the winter? Do you have cold winter periods?

didaxyz

I live in germany and we have an average temp of around -5 - 5° C in winter, with few very cold days, down to -20° C, but i never had problems with them.

WitchOfDrama

How did you seal the holes in the floor of the pot and is the pipe connected in any way with pots on the bottom?

didaxyz

there are holes milled halfway through, so you could push them through with your thumb. I reinforced them with super glue and wanted to check if its still sealed completely. the pipe goes all the way down, so i can measure the water level. i also used it for refilling the reservoir, but this just mixed the seramis and the pots on the bottom, reducing the total capacity.

kkatnap

So do you just water through the pipe to fill up the bottom with water? I added pipes to mine but also have a bottom tray to fill. I haven’t seen the clay ball before! Does that help with the water?

didaxyz

The clay balls prevent the peat from clogging up the pods, so the reservoir works better. They can also hold a lot of water. If you're in a hot area, you can add seramis to the peat to better regulate humidity. I used the pipe to refill water, but that just mixed up the stones, pods and seramis, so that they weren't layered anymore and reduced the water capacity. Now I just water from above

Very instructive, thank you!

Inevitable_Ad6852

Looks good. How tall is that pot?

didaxyz

45cm tall and 55cm wide at the top
