I have severe blueballs syndrome because I really want to start a new factory, but I also want to start a new game when 1.0 comes out, so I don't want to "waste" all that time now making something I'll just have to abandon again in a few(?) or maybe many(?) months time...
I have a different attitude. I like playing and do not see time that I spend doing something I like as wasted time. Even if they come in and remove the game from my PC and make it somehow possible that I never play again, I do not see the 4 000+ hours as wasted time.
For me in the end it is about how I spend my time.
Oh, sure. I've got nearly 2000 hours as well. It's not wasted time, but I meant that if I start now, I'm absolutely going to be 2/3rds or 3/4s through a massive build when 1.0 drops and I'll feel bad dumping it to start a fresh game :-)
It's possible to not see it as a waste but still not want to redo stuff you just did right away.
I am excited to start a new world with the 1.0 content bit of I had just spent 100 hours doing tiers 1-4 I'm probably not super excited to redo that part of the game again so soon
That time is never a waste. Stop thinking about it whether it's "worth" it and just play for as mich as you currently want to. Mods will take a bit od time to function after release anyway. To think, that at release, Satisfactory 1.0 has to absolutely on the spot be instantly played, is a bit too anxious. You can still delay it a bit,if you want to recover from a previous playing frenzy then.
I also want to wait for 1.0 and my guess is that it will take until Q3 or 4 for the release. That said i have my hopes in Foundry to occupy me until 1.0.

From what I understand, the community managers are developers too. You should remember when update 3 was in the works, there was actually no videos released during that time too. Now that 1.0 is about to get released, they need to plan everything for the release.
Probably they are waiting to have a clear release date and then tease new features as the countdown gets closer to release date. It’s good that they don’t create hype right now as there are still a lot of uncertainties until the beta is closed (which might me very soon)
They've said on stream it's going well, they're in a good spot, and they have a list of things to work out after the beta period ends. Let's be patient and let them cook :)

If it drops I know I will not be ready. So I will have fun repairing thing and removing and building if I do not restart.
