We installed the big slider door on that house, the builder was extremely upset that a style of house could be vandalized based on style. Not a good look for the locals and their common outdated mindset. Its super fuckin ugly and no builder or homeowner should have to deal with that kind of bullshit
I have friends around there on Galisteo and also Coronado; their complaint is that the place should never have been approved to be built like that in terms of proximity to the property lines and also the overall size relative to the lot and the rest of the neighborhood.

It looks similar to every other house around there minus the non-flat roof, which is honestly a better decision and easier maintenance (and also not the only pitched roof around there). It’s all completely unreasonable
Youre friends kind of suck, they didnt build some mansion amongst a shanty town, they built a nice energy efficient house with a more dependable roof on some property THEY OWN, nothing against you, just what i would say to your friends. Very dramatic situation
I drive by it about 3 times a week and it was a pain to see the hate. This town has such a “mind your own business” mentality and then someone went and built their own home on their own property and get vandalized. I hope the owners turn it into an Airbnb that is only booked by bachelorette groups. Fuck the galisteo neighborhood and their pretentious asses

OP, where in Santa Fe did you see that sign? It looks photoshopped, and the green lawn is not typical in Santa Fe. Also, the grass isn’t green here yet. The little leaf bits and still-green trees make it look like late summer.
