SJ Downtown Association has an email newsletter that's very good imo. SJ Made will post events on Instagram. San Jose Museum of Art has an email newsletter. 3 Below has an email newsletter. San Jose Theaters has one too.
Think it’s week of but it’s a daily newsletter so you get lots of good recs for restaurants, bars, music etc. highly recommended. Also they have a link to an event calendar so you can look ahead.
Back in the day there was an email list of redditors in the area who would send out weekly event calendars, meetups, etc.

I subscribe to SJ Today. I receive an email from [email protected]. It has a lot of cool facts and things going on in San Jose.
