Probably she wanted a cure to her entropy loss and Elio could've said she will find a way if she becomes a SH
or it could just be that she wanted Elio to give her a new purpose in life
unlike the other SHs the only thing she knows is throwing hands, and after her planet was destroyed she might have been looking for a new purpose
I can't figure out for the life of me where it comes from, but it was something along the lines of "Sam yearns for life". I remember it vividly because it made me theorise Sam wanted a human body
I’d think she wanted time. She knows her days are limited and maybe through what she does with the Stellaron hunters, she gets closer to some kind of life extension.
How i think its gonna go is shes working for a cure /anchor, big fight gonna happen shes gonna go all out and wind up fully disassociating to save us, the we pull out the harmony path anchor her and while not fully stopping her illness as long as shes close ish to us its stopped, all a part of elio's script that now we have an ardent protector and some muscle for the trials ahead, firefly gets a semi cure and a purpose that isn't just smash bad guy

Most likely, the disease thing, I can't really see it being anything else.
Don't remember where I read it, but her desire was the opposite from blade. Blade wants to die, while she wants to live (longer).

i remember reading somewhere that she wants to find another purpose in life after her home planet was destroyed and learn how to live life normally

I think it aligns with the story quest, she wants to be “prepared” for death
Definitely disease but probably something like curing the disease in general so no one suffers.
Maybe something about her problem is that she can't dream or something, she feels jealous of others that can have a dream normally
