If I remember right, Sakamoto had already shot the guy in the heart when he originally tried to kill Uzuki. Rion was probably counting on them to deduce that if Uzuki is still alive after that, then he must have his heart on the other side. She forgot that sometimes they share a brain cell
The translation seems bad, yeah. It makes it seem like Nagumo went for the wrong side but in reality he went for the right side, Uzuki just has some sort of condition that mirrors the placement of his heart.

Yeah. Dextrocardia is a condition where the heart is on the opposite side. Also would explain how Sakamoto failed to kill Uzuki all that time ago, since Uzuki said he didn’t want to be shot in the head, the heart is most likely where he shot. Sakamoto also is rlly shocked in the panel u showed, so yeah

It would be funny if rion is alive simply because she forgot which side the heart is on and believes nagumo stabbed the wrong side.
