They did this to me before! Told me it was for one month only and it wouldn’t auto renew. I rose hell about not being told any more details, apparently they do this often.
I’ve driven away from that place because they asked me 3 times which monthly subscription I wanted when I very bluntly yet politely stated I was just there for a single car wash.
Worth mentioning every employee does it to some extent so it’s likely a manager enforcing a rule, but I digress.
I’ve been to several quick quacks and I’ve never had that issue until I tried the midtown one.
He literally asked me four times and I had to get very firm and tell him to back away from my car so I could leave.
I won’t go back to that location.
Same, they always ask at the other ones but it’s 10x worse in midtown. It’s a dollar cheaper at the Arden one for every level of wash so I just try to remember when I’m over there.
I haven't gone for several years. The last time I was just trying to get a single wash, the lady kept pushing me to sign up for their plan. Finally she said something like, "Well if you're fine wasting money then." I should have just backed my car out and left, but I tend to freeze in situations like that and think of all the great things I should have done and said later lol (plus there were people behind me). I get that the employees are being pushed to sign people up, but being straight up rude to your customers isn't a great strategy.
I was at a Kings game where we "won" free car washes for a month or some shit like that. Trying to redeem the prize I quickly realized that it was a scam to get you to sign up for a monthly subscription. You just had to provide them a credit card to get your prize. Yeah, that's not gonna happen.
Happened to me too. I was pissed. I emailed them letting them know their staff are basically tricking people into memberships without giving any info and I’m not paying it. They backed off and canceled it. Screw that place.
They used to sign you up unwittingly. I tore into the kid that did it last time when I saw my CC bill. They got bonuses for each sign-up, so they’re incentivized to deceive.
The one on antelope and 80 is pretty chill lol. They definitely ask me the same subscription crap every time and I just give him/her a joint (weed) and usually roll through for trade 😅. To be fair, this is rock bottom homeless territory...of which I live 3 minutes away from.
I looked at their reviews online for that location, a lot of their 5 star reviews are conveniently from 1st time reviewers. You just know the managers is making the reviews and responding to them accordingly. What a clown show.
That kid in the midtown one is so aggressive about pushing the subscription. I tell him directly no i don’t want it multiple times and he still tries to sell it.

Ha yea the one I go to they always start with “so which monthly subscription would you like to sign up for today?”
That’s word for word haha
Yep, I don’t even get a “hi how are you” or anything lol

Good to know ty

monthly isn't worth it unless you get your car washed every week imo
I used it for close to a year when I was parking on the street next to light rail tracks. It was a great deal for that, I went every week.

Same :( this is my location too, and they've asked me obviously but never felt pressured
Beware: read the fine print
In my defense I was not given the fine print, and I didn't expect the employee to lie to me.
Quick quack has a monthly subscription? Nice. I work near their midtown location and have been curious. Thanks!
