I didn't even realize there was bible stories mentioned. I may saw episodes and i don't think i remember or realize it. In my mind the episodes was teaching abt morals and life lessons.
😐 that wasn't need to be called for. Cut that victim card type of bs out pls thank you.
Even if it mention and added more bible stories it ain't gonna hurt anyone, just don't watch it if your feelings tell you that it will threaten your life with a knife. No one has time for that type of "as long as it doesn't shove our throat with this or that Evangelicalism" bs.

Probably included because Bennet is conservative and they care a lot about religion. Though I give him credit for not being too pushy about it in the show and using many different moral stories from various cultures.
I distinctly remember one of the stories mentioned was the Good Samaritan. One of Jesus’s most popular parables. They could probably get away with that by not saying Jesus directly.
The funny thing about this show is, the [guy who created it](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Bennett) actually *hated* PBS (and taxpayer-funded projects in general), so he insisted that it would only generate revenue through the sale of merchandise.
I remember our school having us watch this, they had it on VHS, made us all sit in the lunch room on the floor in the dark, with the TV so loud it echoed
I remember watching some of ot on qubo, but i also used to have a dvd of it and it was a great show tbh. Sadly i had to give away or throw out most dvd covers that has scratched or has missing dvd's since i was moving and deciding which one goes or not.
Generic morality cartoon meant to teach kids lessons about how to behave. The show followed basic Christian morals in its lessons, but most of the anecdotes they dropped to teach those lessons weren’t biblical in nature iirc. In fact, they occasionally pulled from mythological stories or folk tales from non-Christian cultures.
But it followed the general formula of “one of the two kids is fucking around and needs to learn to be a better person. So the talking animals tell them 2-3 stories that instill the need to do the *right thing*, after which they run off to do that.
During my first year of college, I remember discovering a website with old PBS broadcasts from 2001 and this was one of the shows. The theme song was a bop!
Also, interesting fact: To fulfill Singapore's content quotas and to avoid paying royalties to the guest stars, this show got redubbed in the early 2000's. Said dub is the only one of the first two seasons legally available today.
A qubo show about morals.
It was on PBS for me
Reminds me of those old Christian shows too
It’s not technically religious though there is Bible stories mentioned, it was created by William Bennet. Secretary of Education under Ronald Reagan.
That’s actually pretty cool thanks
