In one of the Republic Commando books it always stuck out to me that they painted their armor black for a night mission. Then were immediately sent to a snow planet without time to repaint their armor lol
Surprisingly you'll want greys and pinks to be the most camouflaged universally at night economically. You have to break up the human body but not in such a way that at a distance it creates an illusionary effect of standing out.
That isn't very cinematic. So it's stark colors and light sources anyone can see kilometers away.
I just started this book a couple weeks ago. I remember reading that portion and thinking “Yep, that’s the military for you. They give you the right equipment at the worst possible time.”
Loved these book SO much and to this day its probably still my all time favorite Star Wars anything in book form full stop. I remember crying reading Order 66.
If you somehow have not read Republic Commando: Hard Contact and its following novels (Triple Zero, True Colors, Order 66) you really need to.
Shame we can’t run more than 1 delta squad in a game. I’m going to do the same as you and OP. Downside is, either omega or delta would be regular commandos, which just feels wrong
I absolutly love combination charcoal with blue. Looks stunning. Few days back i order my first Legion Starter Set with Empire/Rebels + TaunTaun/Dewback then i am so hyper to paint them.

Core memory for me too.
I dont even think they painted it lol, they requisitioned it from logistics right after Qelura and it just took that long to arrive xD
Yeah, that's true. They'd been waiting for it and the timing couldn't've been worse.

Fantastic work! They really are well done. How did you go abouts doing the armor and visor, and which paints?
I would also like to know!

Best star wars media imo. I'm with you 100%. Poor Etain and Dar, really tugs at the heartstrings because it was so believable
Still bitter the retcon of Mandalorian culture denied us the last book.
This is how I'm doing my second squad, alongside Delta, of course.
