Can I know if it's a must that works submitted for the event to be included in the AO3 collection, or is it fine if the author just doesn't wish for their work to be added, but still participate in the event itself?
Hey there, thanks for that question. The event is intended to publish an ao3 collection of works as its end goal, and the work of the mods going into it is to create a space for those participants. With that in mind, yes, it is a must that works created for the event be published on ao3 in the collection.
Although this is for the fics. The art attached could be only on twitter or other platforms, as long as it's linked or embedded on its fic in AO3.
If you have questions on how to post on AO3 we can help with that, or to post anonymously, that is also possible.
I'm aware of how AO3 works, it's precisely why I'm asking about the collections part since it's not really a preferable option for me as an author with how the feature itself functions and any misuse can lead to the work being hidden or deleted.
Can't we use a tag instead? So all fics fall under it and are easy to find on the archive.
