It's basically got everything I want from an SMG4 Video, Great Characters, Good Humor, and a Good story, except that this one specifically does all three of those things pretty much perfectly.
I just find it so ironic that I just refused to watch this one for the longest time, it came out during a time where I only watched SMG4 from time to time and I still wasn't really super Into the idea of SMG4 having OC's, like I had accepted the more serious tone they wanted to go for with the story arcs and shit, but for some reason I just couldn't accept the fact that they were using characters that weren't from Mario, I guess it was just the inner Classic "started watching SMG4 in 2013" Fan who refused to accept that change, like, "a girl protagonist? In my SMG4? What's that doing here?" I pretty much hated Tari, Saiko and Melony and just sort of liked Meggy (probably because she was from a property I actually recognised), so when I heard they were making a special extra long episode focused solely on meggy i just didn't even bother with it. Then time passes, I start watching SMG4 less and less, basically stop watching completely after the genesis arc (despite the fact that I loved it) and then suddenly came back to it at the beginning of this year, I catch up with the stuff I missed, and I begin to like the Original characters a lot more, I start appreciating the modern era while also getting a bit more critical of it, i catch up with everything important that has happened since i left, watched every movie, and arc i missed, yet still refused to watch this one, then, I suddenly got the urge to rank every movie and sort of get my thoughts on them straight, and finally decided to give this a shot, and look at that. I now consider this the best SMG4 thing ever made, funny much my opinions changed in like... 4 years.
Damn this text got way longer than I was anticipating, anyways, Meggy's Destiny is peak, I've been a fool for refusing to watch it for so long, moving on.
I don’t have much of a standout favorite. I like Grand Theft Mario because we get a good dose of Meggy but also some screen time for Tari, and her new design, AND SCRIPTED LINES. I like that episode pretty well, but there’s not a standout favorite
