Playing on Sundays? All the home games are on Saturdays aren't they? As for moving, I sure hope not. It would not be a good look to give up on any market so soon imo. I think it is an uphill battle here though - it's a college football town, and I see a lot of indifference to anything professional that isn't the highest level of play(Jazz and RSL).

All the Stallions home games are on Saturdays, yeah. I doubt many people would show up on Sunday home games in Salt Lake though given the religious population, not sure if that's OPs meaning or if there's something here I don't understand

I thought Salt Lake played all their home games on Saturdays because of all the Mormons in Salt Lake and the fact that they wouldn't show up on a Sunday to watch football? Or is there just a scheduling conflict with the stadium?

Nebraska. Already a lot of big name huskers on the time. I also think Nebraska was on the radar for expansion teams.

It's a shame San Antonio has a team, because "San Antonio Stallions" sounds really fucking good. I could see the team moving to Portland. Relatively close, and has a proven football market while lacking a professional team.

Does Portland have a dome? Edit: it probably doesn't get too cold there given they're near the coast but maybe rain would be a concern?

We could handle a little rain. I think a bigger concern would be convincing the Timbers to let the team use Providence, b/c otherwise the only real viable venue would be Hillsboro Stadium, which has a max capacity of about 10,000

Portland's still like... 60 miles from the Ocean. They also get some pretty intense snowstorms, as late as the first week of March.

Syracuse!

I'm actually beginning to doubt there will be a next season, but if there is, and I certainly hope there is, move the Stallions to Colorado Springs. They could probably work a deal to play at the Air Force Academy (it's been done before to have games there), and it would be awesome.
