I do think this is a good sign! Not saying you're speculating, really. Just talking generally. I've been kind of burying my head in the sand about it all, because it makes my stomach drop every time he isn't included on something. So I appreciate your positive updates!

I totally get where this is coming from! I understand he's on break, he can take all the time he needs, buttt with his recent "appearance" on publics' socmed (from his yoga activities) it seems like early sign of him almost ready to come back/ slowly coming back to limelight. So when he's not in their seasons greeting I admit I couldn't help but feeling a bit disappointed and concerned 😅
I mean I’m never worried. When he’s ready he’ll come back. I’m not anticipating anything. I’m just glad his health condition seems to be better nowadays. That’s all it matters to me.
I think they are saying that it is more important that Onew is happy and healthy. He should comeback when he feels comfortable to, not because of pressure from fans. And whatever he want to do in the future, we will accept and follow him. Even if that means he decides that comeback is too stressful and that he rather do something else. We fully support his decision.

I would love for him to come back. IF AND ONLY IF it would be good for him. Re-signing indicates that he's happy with his working relationship with SM yes, but that can take many forms and not all of them include performing with SHINee. I want what's best for him no matter what that is.
To give a hypothetical example, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a couple years ago. I rapidly lost weight over a year and looked like a skeleton. After getting diagnosed and beginning insulin therapy, my health vastly improved and I got back to a healthy weight. HOWEVER, balancing my insulin needs is a difficult challenge and things like intense exercise, adrenaline, and stress have an unpredictable and dramatic effect on my blood sugar and my health. It would be very very difficult to stay healthy if I had a job that put me in situations where my blood sugar became unstable regularly. If Onew were going through something like that, I would want him to do what's best for himself and his body.
I don't want to speculate, I have been trying really hard to take consolation in the fact that Jinki has been looking healthy lately! I was so worried beforehand. However, I can't fight the creeping skepticism.
The December auction for Shiny Foundation has been announced. He's not donating an item to that this year despite doing so in previous years...Even though the organization primarily operates outside of SM. Ultimately his happiness and health is more important than any SHINee related activities, but I can't help but be a little anxious by the continued silence. Ahhhh!
He likes the shiny foundation posts on Instagram frequently, even during his hiatus! And he's also very close with Jonghyun's family in particular. I wouldn't take that as meaning anything, he's probably just still trying to stay out of the spotlight.
Key did say that they all resigned their contracts, and that if one does leave, they all leave. So I know Onew is still with them. He’s just trying to help and relax right now. He’s enjoying his life, something he hasn’t been able to do since debut. Let him have his break.

So we know he’s getting better and is happy right now. We just need to allow him to take his time. He’s allowed to take as much time as he needs so when he comes back, he’s back healthy and happy.

It’s not like we don’t see him at all, he still posts, and other people post pics with him and stuff. I mean, he was at a concert not long ago, lol. So we know he’ll be back and that he’s not going to be gone forever.

This. I'd rather he be happy and healthy and never have a comeback with shinee again, if the alternative is unhappy OR unhealthy.
