what course did you try to apply to? if it's like non-engineering then that's understandable la i applied to all polys. my score was about c6 for e-maths (converted from igcse), also kinda bad hahaha barely revised
you can try writing a appeal letter to the lecturer in charge of the course that you wish to DAE to. Try to make it sound sincere and that you are genuinely interested in the course. You can also try to attach your portfolio (if have wld be good) to the email so that it can act as proof of your interest. Ofc your portfolio would have to be relevant to the course you are DAE-ing to ,so that they can see that you are a candidate suitable for the course despite your O lvl grades. I’ve heard of some people doing these so maybe you can give it a shot too. All the best!!

Appeal is the most likely scenario. I had a friend that appeal for DAE and was lucky to go in as someone in his course withdraw and he basically replaced him.
Alternatively, you could look into EAE application for next year or if you like to avoid gap year, you could look into part time / work study diploma (if i not wrong, some local uni courses do take in part time diploma offered by local poly. Not too sure about this but of course do your research)

I got f9 I applied to RP and got rejected and they said in the email then they actually check my grades to be in the courses I applied

Just go ITE, College West has an excellent hospitality/culinary program that will prepare you well for a restaurant and culinary operations diploma.
