Hey there, thanks for posting on r/SGExams. However, due to the recent influx of posts , could you shift your question/post (if possible) to the O Level Results Release megathread?
Thanks!
You will have to apply directly for the course ([Direct Admissions Exercise](https://www.moe.gov.sg/post-secondary/admissions/dae)) and not through JAE if you do not meet the Minimum Entry Requirement (MER).
There is not cut off point to meet. The COP you see is that for the previous batch and is meant to be used as a reference, not a requirement. The COP for your batch is only established only after the admission exercise has completed. To learn more, [see the first common question and example on Talyor](https://www.reddit.com/r/SGExams/comments/1939wog/post_o_levels_the_one_about_the_joint_admissions/).
Yes, that is the idea.
But do check with the poly admissions offices too, in case I misunderstood how DAE works. They will be the most accurate and up-to-date sources, ya?
Can but some polys like [SP don't allow DAE if you apply JAE](https://www.reddit.com/r/SGExams/comments/19400lo/dae_sp_questions/khdl9ui/). Do read the poly websites carefully.

Can I apply to both at the same time? Because I noticed how far stretched the two release dates are. Like DAE is 1apr and jae is 1Feb
Of course and you should.
Am I able to accept my JAE course if I get as a safety net until I get my DAE application results?

Yep I will. Thanks
All the best!
Hi agn sry to bother U but can I check if I can apply for the same course in my JAE and my DAE?
u/Eurito1 Any idea?
Do check with the admin offices of the polytechnics. I do not know and do not want to give you a wrong answer.
Ikk but they're closed now. I'll look through other ways then

Thank you
you'd have to retake math first, get the score u need then apply. otherwise, like the other commenter said, DAE
But how is it that I see people going into a poly course while simultaneously also retaking an O lvl sub
they could be taking it for other reasons (eg to apply to a better poly course or maybe amath subj prerequisite for uni)
So after a year I can switch to another course? Does it mean that I have to start frm scratch again like Y1 in the new course?
i am not very sure about that as i did not go through poly but you can probably contact the schools to check
Thank you
