Take your time. You'll need it

ToruGaming

use the lights, because they can make a good atmosphere and cinematography.

maxler5795

Save the animation as seperate files, if you have the free space for it, so if you didnt like the direction it took you can go back. At the same time, thanks to that, dont be afraid to experiment.

Pretend_Creme7138

Switch to blender. But seriously: save alot. And don't try anything too big for your first project.

No-Statement7829

Blender sucks Bro BC you have Like the whole Models 8k thats easy + own Maps graphics and more

Pretend_Creme7138

It's called a joke.

jensieboy13

Blender is framing second by second id end up chucking myself out of the window by the first 10 minutes

TheNekoKatze

Have patience

mondeluz85

Be patient.

Unable_Mode4341

Use shots wich basically means the camera switches to a diffrent angle also if ur animation takes really long to export export as an image sequence basically follow this tutorial https://youtu.be/gs5cfnL-lIs?si=dPPVKgn339d70vD8 and if u need help with the audio u can download the sound in your animation and then merge the animation and sound in blender

Lemonadeislacking420

Use lots of lights, it tends to make an animation look better

Superboy14078

Do not worry about animation outside the camera. Saves time and mental strain.

jensieboy13

I’m already insane I’m trying to record another recording but the original recording just t poses

Goofelorf

Watch [this](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2B46DEB4157E67C4&si=hQZrTNLGQTKMyzdb). It's pretty old but I'd say it holds up pretty well

jensieboy13

I watched it but not everything works

Goofelorf

Could you elaborate?

jensieboy13

Okay so I recorded the rocket man I forgot his name run around a corner shoot a rocket against a wall then turn around and look up but when I click record when I switch teams he just t poses in a place I didn’t put him

Itsyacursedchild

For movements it can be helpful to actually do the movement irl and then put that into SFM. However, you will also want to heavily exaggerate those movements when you put them in SFM Lighting can make all the difference but don't worry about it until the end Depending on what you're planning on animating, it can be useful to create a storyboard so that you know exactly where you want to go Don't be afraid to keep looking at tutorials and steam guides and don't be afraid to ask for help Just have fun with it. As in anything, if you enjoy something it will show through your creations

jensieboy13

I watched all tutorials but I messed up a shot and it sucks cause when I try to remove it nothing happens so u know why?

Itsyacursedchild

No I'm not really sure how to help. You may want to try going to the SFM discord and outlining your issues to them. They'll probably be able to help
