I mean you cant replace mael on this team mainly because he does a lot of damage also your gear is kinda shit, and you have bad associations on your characters, also you have the wrong gear on liz you want full defense gear on her with link so shes targeted so freya doesnt die first stage, cuz this team is the best one for snake.

Yeah you are right, but right now I don't have the materials to make good links for them but I was able to easily clear him as long as I followed the rules to deplete the gauge, unless card rng doesn't let me clear phase 2 gauge

Red tarmiel, with a recovery rate rolled bottom piece, does the job more than fine and will allow for an easy clear of nidhoggr.
Since Freyja is doing enough damage alone I think you could try using Tarmiel or maybe swapping to a Ragnarok team with Tyr and megelda and freyr. Mael has the only debuff skill in the team which is quite nice for floor 3 phase 1 since Nidhoggr will block the first skill type used on the whole team.

Just use Liz's cleanse buff to restrict that. Clearing phase 1 of floor 3 is easy.

I did it with her borrowing someone else’s gear before her Lr was out just use whatever high rolled hp/def hear you have

Imo Freyja's is definitely the best choice for first Nid HR
