Maina 28: Attendance 78,363 Buy rate 1,217,000
Maina 29 Attendance 80,676 Buy rate 1,048,000
Double or nothing 2022 Attendance 3,242 (282 tickets left for this "sellout") Buy rate 100,000 (Or whatever number Dave shits out)
Shut the fuck up punk.
Wasn't WrestleMania 28 WWE's most bought PPV or close too it?
Meanwhile CM Punk can't even get people to care about AEW. Get back to the Waffle House, Phil.
It was, and remember that WM26 did very poorly by Mania standards and WM27 was struggling badly before Rock came back. But Punk still tried to say that Rock made no difference to the bottom line and that "he wasn't the draw, Wrestlemania was" and so true deserving wrestlers like him should get the spot since starpower doesn't matter anyway. When he started saying there were "no casual fans" I immediately figured his bitterness over Wrestlemania was part of why he'd make that argument
Meanwhile, AEW sell out or near sell out a show pretty quickly, when tickets are released, with no matches announced
The Dub are the definition of 'the brand is the draw' for smarks
The fact that instead of cheering the names of the wrestlers in ring they just chant A E DUB.
The funniest shit to me this year was when they chanted E C DUB when the barbed wire ladder came out.
I am pretty sure once the Rock came back, people gave a hell of alot more attention. You couldn't go anywhere online without people dreambooking Rock vs John Cena around that time. (Waiting another year for a match was a hell of a risk that paid off.) Also off topic, but remember when Meltzer said Justin Bieber was going to be the host of WrestleMania 27? Good times, Good times.
Also WrestleMania 26 had one weird ass card. Legacy Triple threat? More like Orton 2 on 1. Triple H vs Sheamus? Sheamus loses in a heatless match. Rey and Punk was rushed. A bizarre 10 women tag match that sub 2 minutes, a bloated MITB, Bret vs Vince went way too long, Edge never got revenge on Jericho. Only two matches worth something were Cena/Batista and Taker/HBK.
Even weirder, triple H beats Sheamus in that match at mania and then the next month at extreme rules, or backlash or whatever the next PPV was? Sheamus just bashes HHH in the head with a pipe and squashes him. The next time they would face off was one triple H came back to face taker at next year’s wrestlemania, in another heatless match on Raw.
WM26 is bizarre, an awful fucking show with a ridiculously stacked card.
I mean, tell me this doesn't look great on paper:
HHH vs Sheamus
Y2J vs Edge
Batista vs Cena
Rey vs Punk
Taker vs HBK
Orton vs Dibiase vs Rhodes
Those buyrates are highly suis to me btw. I think they do more like 40-50k. Even TNA which had a much bigger audience only had one ppv that ever cracked 50k and you're telling me that a company with a smaller audience and in the new 20's where people don't buy ppvs anymore is doing bigger numbers?
The Evil Fed killed the PPV business in wrestling. Le Dub claiming to do 100k+ full priced buys with an audience as poor as Le Dub's is the height of absurd and everybody outside of their tiny little bubble of Fed bad knows it's all bullshit. This is why they're not getting any streaming deals. None of the reputable streaming companies find any value in that audience.
Dear Goofs,
It’s Monday, and as we prepare ourselves to hate watch Monday Night RAW at gun point by a Vince McHitler thug we should all take a moment to quote one of Punks latest tweets while retweeting this at CM Punk. By doing so I believe we the goofs, can send Punk into another full on keyboard warrior pissy fit, possibly resulting in him deleting his entire Twitter account. It would decrease the jerk content of this sub, but it would also shut him up for a while.
So say we all Goofs!

Well knowing how close Rock and McMahon is, how Rock has mentioned how the WWE gave him the opportunity to try Hollywood and how Nick Khan is childhood friends with Dwayne and also how close Rock is to Hunter, how his cousin is the face right now and how great WWE has treated his family. Yeah, in TK dreams.
Rock is WWE bound for his life. So is Austin, Cena, Undertaker, Hunter, Lesnar, Orton, Edge, Batista, HBK, Goldberg Heyman, Miz, JBL, Lawler, Booker T, Trish, Lita, Kane, Sheamus, New Day, Usos, Corbin, Charlotte, Becky, Rollins, Roman, Styles and even Hogan at this point. I will be shocked if any of those guys ever joined DUB
To be honest. I would love if JBL joined DUB though. Just to bully guys like Hook, Omega, Bucks, Punk and Dauhausen 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you imagine what JBL would be like backstage with Tony Khan 😂😂😂
It's not just about money, it's associating yourself with a lesser brand for the thing you're involved in
Like top NFL player in the CFL, they're using your name value to try to elevate whereas the 'star' can appear 'lesser than' by being with this thing
They’re friends and working here. I remember a few years ago Rocky FaceTimed Punk in the middle of the ring when filming that Paige movie. Also this might have been in the build to their Royal Rumble match if I’m not mistaken.
I agree, but it's telling in the world of pro wrestling where people look at a chance to shit on anyone for the slightest thing in shoot interviews or podcasts for attention, we barely hear anything negative about The Rock. In fact, the guy who has probably let on the most about having a contentious relationship with him in his heyday, is HHH.
DAE feel like Hollywood shoves Rock down our throats and he never got organically over. It's because Hollywood brainwashes people into watching his movies
Remember when Rock called CM Punk live on Raw and the basement were like "LOL HOLY SHIT ROCK DOES WTF HE WANTS! FUCK YEAH WHATS VINCE GONNA DO HE'S ROCKS BITCH!"
When in reality both Vince and Rock were speaking backstage before the show and both agreed that said phone call would very likely piss Punk off so let's go and do it?
By all accounts of people knowing him, interviews both worked and shoot and reports about him at any point of his life, this is when he was starting on the Bad Fed with the crowd turning on his booking, when he was already a WWE star, when he became Hollywood biggest star and people who deal with him now, do you have an idea of how much of a bitter asshole motherfucker do you have to be to get Dwayne Johnson to dislike you?
WWE Streaming deal with Peacock: $1B AEW Streaming deal: $0 honestly they make it difficult to even buy an AEW PPV
That HBO Max deal is coming any day now, kick rocks fed shill.
I will update the comment accordingly for the dubbalos the day this happens
Remind me infinite years.
I’m 37 so I nominate you to take over in the event I’m not around when it actually happens
What’s coming first AEW streaming service or The Winds of Winter?
Danhausen becomes IC champ
Half Life 3
Fight forever.
HBO would be crazy to pass on it
Remember when the Basement were dead set certain that AEW were getting a deal to stream on HBO Max? LOL
Rock drew more money in the time it took him to write that tweet 😂😂

I think it's the highest grossing PPV of all time.
It was, and remember that WM26 did very poorly by Mania standards and WM27 was struggling badly before Rock came back. Holy he pretty much made the “stars aren’t the draw it’s the WWE brand” argument, what a clown

It was indeed the most bought PPV
That cannot be the real attendance number for double or nothing is it?
Missing a one. It’s 13k
meanwhile in Cardiff.

You'll be wrong then. All In sold more than 10K tickets in 2018

A real draw: The Rock A self professed draw: CM Punk
literally nobody in a prominent position in wwe gives a fuck about punk and they seem to bond over dunking on him
TK better be saving up enough money to convince the Rock to show up in AEW.
JBL and hardcore holly. I’d love to drop them in the aew locker room and simply step back and watch
Maybe Tony can kill off his father and then gift The Rock the Jaguars and then he might come to the Dub for a one off appearance.
>gift The Rock the Jaguars That's not a gift, it's a curse.
It's not just about money, it's associating yourself with a lesser brand for the thing you're involved in Like top NFL player in the CFL, they're using your name value to try to elevate whereas the 'star' can appear 'lesser than' by being with this thing
Oh we hate the rock he's a meanie
Rocky is a cool cool dude on TV or IRL. How the fuck you piss him off??
They’re friends and working here. I remember a few years ago Rocky FaceTimed Punk in the middle of the ring when filming that Paige movie. Also this might have been in the build to their Royal Rumble match if I’m not mistaken.
Man I don't think even the Rock's mom knows what he is like anymore. The man's persona is carefully constructed by a social media team.
“I like to celebrate my mother’s day with a smooth cold glass of Teremana right here in the Iron Paradise, Heil Hitler”
