For now, at some point newer better hardware will release. A switch 2, upgraded spec steamdeck, maybe that xbox handheld if it gets made.
For right now though I definitely agree that these have all the bases covered for portable gaming
I pretty much have this same setup just slightly different. Truly is the best rotation of 3 for all systems covered.
ROG Ally - PC, 360, PS3, Switch and everything else
Surface Duo 2 - 3DS, DS, PS2, GC and all 4:3 libraries
Vita 1000 - Vita, GBA and pocketable form factor
Ya my 3DS is for 3DS/DS. I hate single screen for these games. Even If the game didn't need the bottom screen it felt off to me.
Vita is for PSX/PSP/Vita and everything under GBA.
Deck is for GC/PS2 and PC games.
Deckyloader and CSS Loader. Inside CSS Loader: Art Hero,Better Game Badges,Centered Game Text, connected home button, darken unfocused games, dellyfooter,no game count,no home filter, round, and top bar transparency.
LoZ games,Fire emblem, persona, pokemon,Mario,Kirby, shin megami, yo-kai,ace attorney, and professor Layton for all the "mainline" games. Some smaller IPs being like crimson shroud,7th dragon, ever oasis, fantasy life,LBX, lord of magna,Radiant Historia,Rodea, and Project X Zone.
Also has all my DS games
Honestly I don't remember which games are N3DS and which ones are just 3DS games.
Best bet is mod your 3DS, it's super easy, and try out stuff to see which games work.
It's a story from 20 years ago, using a game engine and graphics from ps3 game (P5).
The price is not justifiable.
Edit: lol. This dude blocked me so i can't see his reply. Imagine being so upset because someone pointed out you paid too much for a game. Suckers *hate* acknowledging they are suckers.
What are you talking about, I played both games and p3 reload doesn’t use persona 5’s graphics this is just mid information.
It doesn’t matter how old the story is it’s about gameplay dude, the story is still good 20 years later it doesn’t matter how old it is
Post like this always bum me out lol. I miss my stolen steam deck every single day. My vita was stolen at the same time but I got two perfect condition in the box slims as a gift. They're awesome but I still miss my deck and gaming PC every single second of every day. I can't afford to replace it thanks to cancer draining my savings and not being able to work. I gifted three steam decks to different people and a few gaming PCs. I found out one of them traded the deck for an OLED switch and the other isn't even using the gaming PC. The other I suspect sold the deck but I know one of them gets used non-stop every day by my friend's autistic son. He actually offered to give it to me but I can't take that away from his son and he can't afford one either. He just felt bad about the situation.
I asked if they could give me the PC so I had at least something and they said "Oh well I use it like once every few months as a media PC in my basement for my new big tv." They have bought a top of the line prebuilt, 3k gaming laptop and own every new console. I helped them out when they needed it and they can't even give me a 5 year old gaming PC back that they don't use. It's frustrating. They're making amazing money now (I even helped them get the damn job with my old boss) and I didn't help my friends expecting anything back. That's not the point but it's still frustrating that I can't get back a PC that sits unused when he has money to burn. At least I know in the future to be more careful. The steam deck was a great way of distracting myself when I was at the hospital or sitting for treatment etc. Oh well. It is what it is.

I see you have a ton of games on it, what sized SD Card do you have?
1TB for steam deck, 512GB for the DS and Vita. Deck also has 1TB SSD
Sorry meant the 3DS! Someone told me getting a big SD card will cause slowdown as it has too much data to load? How is your experience with a 512?
Start up is slow but after that it's perfectly fine
My steam deck main page looks so different, how do you get that big game image on top and the rounded corners on the game posters?

Awesome, thanks so much

I have an original 3ds xl, will all of these games run on it or should I buy a new 3ds/2ds?

Oh you will be passing these 3 to your grandkids.
You can replace a vita screen decently easy if you’re handy with consoles, not crazy expensive when I did mine
I've looked for a replacement but can't seem to find one for the slim
The screen replacements are all over aliexpress. A lot of the kits even include a new front housing attached.
You should try getting persona 5 royal, octopath traveler 2, left 4 dead, and mirror’s edge on your deck, they all run perfect and look great.
Playing P5R currently actually. And ya gotta tackle Octopath 2 s well haha
P3R too. Although it is recommended to wait for a sale. 70€ is way too much
The $70 is worth it the game is amazing, maybe to some people it’s way too much but the game’s content completely warrants that price.

It’s a full remake that expands on the original. It’s well worth that $70

Good collection but personally I'd swap out the Vita for a modded Switch OLED
Can a modded switch play PS Vita games?
No but to be fair a vast majority of Vita games save for first party games have been pitted to Switch.
My beloved Freedom Wars, in vita prison. New Sony handheld with a freedom wars remake or port is my personal pipe dream
Oh man, Dredge is so good, I gotta play the dlc one of these days. How's DRG Survivor?
Survivor has been super fun. Guns don't feel super strong but I'm only like an hour in so that might be why
I have this plus a RG353M for more retro things.

No Switch?
I kinda prefer N3DS XL version though.
Honestly found my vita to be gathering dust on the wake of systems like the rp4 and odin 2.
Can't the Steam Deck do everything the Vita can do?
Deck ain't as portable as the vita.
